Machine? They are actual ship horns from a company called Kahlenberg. The horn in question is a Kahlenberg Q3 found on larger Yachts. Nashville, Chicago and Buffalo all use the Q3 albeit with different pressures of air and different tunes to make them slightly more unique sounding to the team. If you ever go to the arena and look up you can actually see the horn mounted up in the rafters.
