I’m obviously biased, but the eye test on Tage and the team as whole last year was very encouraging. Been a long time since they’ve had a strong team (those 2000’s teams with Briere, Drury, Miller, etc). Very excited for the future of this group!
Trust me rest of the league sees whats coming in buffalo. Tage has the ability to score goals like Matthews, and i think he might have a better shot too

Tage might be the best player in the league atm
you never know in the draft who is going to do what...tage was taken 26th overall, was a project for a few years, and is now a borderline superstar. and why all the draft consensus rankings are ridiculous, you can scout players all you want, but you cant predict the future.
A nearly filled out juggernaut 100mph sniper, below the dots terror, with elite hands, unmatched ability in puck protection and creating space by utilizing his reach and huge frame, elite deeker on the goalie, plays a simple straightforward game because he gets to with defense mostly playing the puck and stick he is free to move around the offensive zone with no one targeting his body due to fear and intimidation, A- skater can breakaway with an opening but cannot create opening with sheer speed and alley still amazingly fast for a huge man.
His skating can improve as he is heavy footed and doesn’t maintain knee bent and posture to maintain stride but once he improves those areas man he is too much to deal with and defend.
Posture, creativity, attitude, and skating are the areas he can improve but my god this one of the most dominant players on earth and he most definitely still can get better
