  • Investigating & fixing a Nissan Juke 2016 Model 1.5 DCI with Fault code P0087 Fuel rail pressure logged in engine ECU. Vehicle cutting out / going into limp mode at random. This fault code can be caused by various other faults with the Fuel pump pressure regulator being a common cause. The regulator is not available separately from the dealer but there are now some listed on Ebay etc. I've put some links below to some I've found. Just compare to your own before purchasing.

I have a Megane IV running very poorly for a while with this exact engine and pump, (idle cuts, vibrations, loss of power) and had injectors checked and replaced the faulty ones (allegedly). Car's still the same. Will try this tomorrow or the next day, thanks a lot mate. Hope it gets fixed, it's a good engine but I had really bad luck with it.

    Hello.. I have a 2013 renault/dacia duster.
The car suddenly stopped working when I was driving it..
    apparently the FVR(fuel
Intake solenoid valve) was faulty (thats what the mechanic told me.
Now I got another pre used valve and when I connect it to a 12 volt power source, it pulsates forward and backwards.. about 3 times a second ..
Now when I connect it to the car, (the car connector terminals read about 9.5 volts (which is correct I guess because I confirmed it from another video)
But, the solenoid doesn’t open.. it keeps vibrating.. and the engine doesn’t start..
Now, I cut the isolating rubber ring on the old valve and connected it (basically bypassed it) and the engine started..(with low fuel economy but it runs) thus ruling out pump, filter issue..
I am not able to figure out if it is an ECM problem (maybe the voltage drops on load.. im not able to check on load voltage because the connector wraps around the entire connectors.. but when the connector is open, it shows 9.5 volts
I would also like to add that since a few months the car was giving a fuel volume regulator control circuit range/performance P0002 error (but it used to go away on its own)..
So again, should I get the ECM checked? Or it could be that the other used valve is faulty as well?

I have the same issue, the regulator from my car looks just like the one you removed but the ones on ebay look slightly different on the end that goes inside the pump?

    • @diydaly
      @diydaly  3 года назад +1

Yeah I struggled to find the exact one aftermarket , Renault only list them as part of a new fuel pump! I found one on eBay that I list in the description but the connector faces a different way , on some models you can make it fit

Hey, I’ve got a Nissan Qashqai 2009 1.5 dci, some times it’s refusing to start, other days it’s completely fine. Some times it starts for about 30 seconds, then dies. Took to the garage but because it didn’t do it there, there was no faults. Could this be something that would help? Or would I need to replace the fuel pump?

    • @diydaly

If I hasn't got ay fault codes I don't the regulator will be the fault, possible sticking egr valve, or air leak.. strange that you ant getting any fault codes..

Yeah, it actually turns out the hand fuel pump thing above the driver front wheel had a hole in it causing air to enter the system. Hence the poor starting. We actually removed the pump and replaced it with just a hose, but if you were to ever run out of fuel you’d be screwed, so we just put a new pump on the other week. We also needed to replace the battery because it was dying after trying to start it all the time and was due replacing anyway
