  • Back in the 70ies rallying was simple. Almost production cars were driven very hard and that was all behind the magic -- pure driving. Maintaining those cars was also simple, but not always. Sometimes you'd have to improvise like Ari Vatanen's team did when they stopped spectators Capri 3.0 and borrowed his rear axle!

    What I like is when the big boss shows up hes straight out of the granada & straight underneath the capri...to check compatibility....

    Bloody hell I thought I recognised the lay by that's at the bottom of the Rest and be Thankful in Glen Croe up the road from Arrochar in Argyll Scotland. My granny lives in Arrochar and better yet my uncle who races a Triumph TR8 is within throwing distance of that very layby and he and I down some test runs up the road and worked on the car in that very layby.

      @@fokjohnpainkiller might be slow but you could interchange production parts unlike nowdays
