The IRX4 is a Multiprotocol Module (MPM) designed for use with FrSky X-Lite radios and other radios with a X-Lite style module bay.
If you have been in this hobby for a while, you will likely have amassed quite a collection of RC models and not necessarily all of them bound to the same radio control, so probably a collection of radios too. That’s where this multiprotocol TX module will come in handy. It incorporates four RF chips into one transmitter module and supports pretty much all of the communication protocols used in the RC hobby so that you can control everything from a single radio. It supports pretty much all of the communication protocols used in the RC hobby, enabling it to control aircraft with Spektrum, FrSky, Flysky, Futaba, Hubsan, Syma, Bayang and many more other types of receivers. This module will also be useful to FrSky users that require support for D8 - latest FrSky ACCESS radios have removed support for the D8 protocol, this module can be used with ACESS radios and brings back compatibility with D8.
The Module features a STEM32 microcontroller (MCU), which has enough on-board storage space to store all of the protocols you need without having to re-flash it. Should you need to update it, it has an active Bootloader so can be re-flashed via USB. This module is compatible with the Multi-module project on github. All available protocols are included in serial mode. In this mode, it uses a serial protocol to communicate with your transmitter. The serial protocol does not require any hardware modifications, but you should update the firmware on your transmitter to the latest. Then the model protocol selection and binding is done from the Model Settings menu on your transmitter. For telemetry capable transmitters, the telemetry integration is done seamlessly with the transmitter firmware.

Chris is a lot better flyer than he makes out. I have been pushing him out of his comfort zone and I think he is ready to take his A cert. Next time Chris...... no buddy box. The stabiliser wheels are coming off!!! Oh yes!

It was a surprise that I found them ok to do, the plane is a nice floater, so I am sure a Jet would be different. But you right, the more I can fly the better, I am hoping to fly this week after work, so let’s hope the weather plays ball. Have a fun and great week ahead.

Lovely take offs and two crackin dead sticks mate fantastic !!! If I can give you just one bit of advice is fly a little bit faster when it's windy couple of times you were right on the cusp of a stall and I don't want you to crash your lovely plane and set you back ! You got this buddy 😉👌
Yea I really need to get the Up wind and Down wind air speed sorted out.
The Small shower and winds it brings was a surprise, and I did call it after those flights, not to go back up. I am lucky to have george and the crew helping me get out and fly in the evenings. Certainly helps my confidence. The more you fly the better you get, a-bit like driving I guess. Hope you have a fun and great week ahead. 🫡

Figure of eights where nice.. I like them flown like that nice and wide no rush.
Take off was good.
Everything looked very good.
Maybe a bit of speed control with the wind would be good.. Looked fast down wind and slow into wind.
Power off down wing power on into wind..just nice to see a consistent speed.
But you have and show excellent control.
Id happily pass your A.

I doubt I will get it done this year. I have only been flying since last September and only started doing landings and take offsthe last few weeks, my instructor recons I'm doing well , I've done figure of 8s ect just need more practice on the landings and take offs! Good luck when you do your test, I'm sure you will pass easy !👍

Great flying Chris, 👍hope I can get back into flying soon, its been so hot and windy in Vegas I haven't flown in 3 months. It's been 44c almost every day!
Gees that’s Hot, this planet is all about extremes these days. My wife and I had our honeymoon in Vegas, it’s different heat there than the UK, the UK you feel like you are in an oven with the humidity, but Vegas, you do not realise how quickly you get dehydrated. Heya Chris, yup if you want to fly at a BMFA insured field, generally you need to have a A cert. It’s mainly so people know you are in control of the plane and not the other way around. It’s a safety thing really, but it’s a great way to learn to fly. It’s took me long enough, but I believe I am close now. Have a great week ahead. 🫡
