I completely understand I’m the odd one out, but I absolutely love the SE 3, it’s my daily driver and having the iPhone 8 style design is in my opinion a billion times better then the full screen look of the 10 and later. It’s my favorite iPhone Apple has ever made. :3 So think what you want just let me enjoy my SE 3 in peace. 😭lol

I think also it’s a very good device, even with the single camera lense I could maybe live but it’s the battery what it really kills it for me…
I used an Se 2 before I switched to the normal 11 and the battery was really the main thing way it most be a bigger device for me…
I also like Touch ID still more then Face ID so that was even better but the battery the battery, that was and is the killer of the Se for me even when the Chip in the SE 3 is 2 or 3 gens further then this in my 11, that still do all it should for me very quickly and battery still last a full day without issues…
but I use also an iPad and Apple TV so this takes a lot of usetime from the phone so it’s not really hard for me to achieve even 2 days of use from one single charge (iPad would be nearly dead on first day for this) and even with all of that it was way to often an issue to came over a full day without charger on the SE 2 to that time…
So yeah it can work for some but I think most people simply just need more battery in their smartphone then the SE currently offers…
But if that fits for you it’s of cuz just a little tiny beast…😉

I totally agree. This was my phone a year ago and I upgraded to a regular iPhone 15. SE is so light and comfortable to hold while my current phone is so heavy. Mind you the regular iPhone 15 size is small by today's standard.

    SE 2 user here.
    A13 still works great.
Swapped my original 1800 mAh battery for a new NOHON 2340 mAh battery from Aliexpress. I’ve had it for over a year installed. No battery overheating and battery life has been greatly improved. It’s not 16 Pro Max battery life, but it makes a difference.
Battery + labour for around 25$ (in Romania).

I used to own the iPhone 8 - then I went to the X, then 13 Pro, then 15 Pro Max. I physically picked up my iPhone 8 a couple of days ago, and concluded that it's the perfect size for me. If they made an iPhone 8 with iPhone 16 internals, I'd buy it in a heartbeat - I don't even need the better cameras, just the one will do. There's something nice about having the fingerprint button on the bottom too that I love - the double tap just continues to feel super intuitive to me - it's a shame if they take it away for the sake of screensize.

In late 2023, when I needed a new iPhone I decided to go with the 12 Mini and not the SE 3. I liked the home button but the 12 series was very good and is now fairly cheap. As someone who likes small phones like the SE but also wants a slightly better camera I still think buying a used iPhone 12-13 is a good buy with a close price to the SE 3.

I mean, if you like touch id, like your screen to be the same shape as the content you watch, are fine with having not the newest camera ever, it’s good (depending on the price). If you just want an iPhone 8 which is faster and you can keep for more years it’s perfect for you (without 3d touch unfortunately)

Like several others, I am still using the gen 2 SE. I recently got a free new battery for it and it’s working just fine. I want my phone to be small enough for my pockets. The new SE4 is going to be too big. Guess I’ll be sticking to my old SE until Apple totally stops supporting it.

I actually was up until a week and a half ago. As for how it was, it was actually alright, but I'm so happy that I now have a newer, better iPhone. Some backstory. I got an iPhone 13 in December 2021, then, I got one of these too in April 2022. I got it mainly to see what the cheapest iPhone was like. It was alright enough, but I kept using my iPhone 13 because it was a much better phone. That is, until July 2023. My iPhone 13 suffered a fatal drop that caused board level damage that would have costed more to repair than the phone in working condition was worth. Since I didn't have data on there that was worth that much, I took it as a loss, and since I still had that iPhone SE 3, I switched to it, with intention of replacing that iPhone 13 with an iPhone 15. This was back when iPhones still had physical sim support, so I just took my sim card out, put it in there, and it worked. Even though the iPhone SE 3 is inferior to the iPhone 13, I'd rather have an inferior phone than no phone at all. But then, I didn't have the money for a newer iPhone at the time, so that iPhone SE 3 ended up being my main phone up until recently, and now that the iPhone 16 is out, I got one of those instead. But finally, I have another modern iPhone. I'll still be holding onto that iPhone SE 3. It's still a good phone, and I plan to repurpose it as an iOS beta testing phone, because, in general, it's disadvised to use your main device to test beta versions of software. As for any repairs, the original battery, for lack of a better term, had a stroke, and stopped working. Not the gradual degradation that's inevitable with Li-Ion batteries, but rather, it just wouldn't even charge or display the battery percentage, and kept boot looping, even when plugged in. So even though I didn't want to, I had to replace the original battery. Though just earlier today, I finally replaced it again, this time with a new, genuine Apple OEM battery, as well as the cracked, unusable old screen. Well, that was an earful, but I wanted to describe it.

I was very attracted to the iPhone SE 3 until I actually held the phone and felt it was wayyyy too small. I wanted the nostalgia of the home button but also wanted to comfortably hold my phone, so I just bought a used iPhone 8 Plus. And honestly the Plus is peak iPhone design in my opinion, can’t get any simpler than this. Just the right amount of screen, an average battery to discourage constant media consumption, and best of all, a home button. I wish the iPhone SE 3 was based from the iPhone 8 Plus model. I would’ve paid good money for that.

At $430 it isn't worth it. But I actually prefer the size of the SE 3 and having Touch ID over Face ID. And i find the older design iPhones simply worked better. Battery life isn't the best, but that can be solved with a battery case which will double the screen on time. And while it has a thicker top and bottom bezels, i prefer it over the horrendous notch of the X-14 series devices.

Oh and for those „that looks old“ maybe kind of but in my eyes it’s just an timeless design that never really will get old I think…
    Let me explain…
It’s just so simple that it is impressive enough only for this but on top we have glass, metal and and very nice ergonomic feeling in your hands on those devices…
Now after we see so much of those in a very short time it is of cuz kind of old now, but that goes pretty quickly after more and more of those rounded iPhones will disappear, then the design will just come back in its full glory…
Even on the first iPhones like 3g that are mainly where made out of plastic they are still just very nice designed with no real fix point in some kind of time period I could call of…
It could also just be a rounded stone so really pretty hard to set this in a special time where only this would fit in…
When Apple still can do something it’s design, really anything what cames since ive get hands over design is in my eyes simply timeless, if it is an iPod, the iconic lamp mac, simply just every single device since then is something where I would even in 80 years (I know that this will not happen but just for the example) think that looks pretty nice…
Even when it’s just the wired EarPods I would think „oh, they looks really very nice“…
That is something Apple really don’t lost over time and the iPhone 8 design is simply just exactly the same, even in decades this will look just great (from the design point)…
So don’t hate this, it’s just a thing of momentum where it just looks in this single situation kind of old, never before and never after this moment this will happen again…

Battery will be a thing for a lot of people out there and when we look to the camera, don’t take me wrong but I think in most cases I would still prefer the 2 lense system of my iPhone 11 even when the Se 3 has the way better processor…
Performance wise, even my 11 still do a very good job what’s really impressive when we see how old it is so I would say the Se 3 should still fly or something like this with 3 gen better processor…😅
And for many people it is simply just too small and that even in groups where you in the first moment don’t think of…
For example my parents, they are both already over 60 and both need at least the size of the normal or even plus models cuz they just can see everything better cuz bigger…
So in the end it’s for sure still a decent device like most Apple products that are not older then 7 years but if it is enough? That must everybody look on their own on this how they use it, if you need it mostly really just for calls and messaging and you can live with the smaller design it’s probably some of the best solutions you can get…
But if you use your phone in first place a lot and in second with way more normally stuff the battery would already be a big topic cuz the bigger phones simply just have more battery and would be for most be better just because of this…
I think the next SE could really change things when they done it right…
In my eyes would be the normal or even plus version of the current iPhones be the best base for a new SE released together wilt next gen iPhones…
This time in the current or one of the older bigger models form factor with 2 cam system what’s „just“ decent, Face ID old or new version (dosent matter) and this even in two sizes or at least the normal one…
It dosent even need an oled in my eyes, lcd is still more then decent enough and this with the current a chips…
This will fit for a lot, could be made for very cheap and will still hold up for years when nothing is too bad when it came out…
This would finally bring a modern cheap device to really anybody who wants an iPhone and I think in the lowest price segment they can still get a lot of more users if they want or need it…
But we will see what the next Se will bring to us, it’s always an interesting device what’s worth to look on (maybe at some day it will be even a choice for me)…

Hey guys just so you know iOS takes up 10-20 gigabytes of storage at-least and its ever expanding due to iOS caching apps in the background and zswap as-well. That means that this phone barely has any storage until apple removes the neural networks from the other iPhones on it. Don't buy the base model 64 gigabyte version like I did and complain about constantly having to shuffle files and apps around at large because suddenly your operating system takes up half the storage because of how un-optimized iOS is at the moment in particular to the bugs on this phone as-well. Also app sizes are usually hundreds of megabytes and even a simple game like vampire survivors will take up a gigabyte of memory nowadays so unironically the base model is really worthless now as-well in my experience. I ended up just factory resetting an old android phone that I switched to the iPhone from with corrupted flash-memory and I have been dealing with it but at-least I have a-lot more storage on a broken phone that will probably get worse overtime.

Honestly I can't even believe that you even bothered to make another video regarding the SE 3, there's nothing bad with the phone itself I use it as my daily driver for eight months now but still. Oh and the crazy part is that cuz I live in Greece, I payed over 600€ for it but it was worth it! 😂😂😂😂

For the millions of people (10%) that can’t use OLED due to PWM the SE2/3, Xr and 11 are the only choice. Disgusted the SE 4 is going to be OLED. Apple give us a new LCD iPhone which will be really cheap to make!
