Yeah, I doubt it gets dynamic island as the phone is already too close to an iPhone 16. One thing I like is my phone carrier sells those SE phones for like $150-$200. So, I'll buy one to keep as a backup phone, and sell off all of my touch ID iPhones I still have so I can fully switch to USB C since my iPhone 15 Pro I just bought is USB C. I will say, I do think it's easier inserting and removing Lightning than USB-C. As USB-C feels like I'm going to scratch up the paint trying to get it lined up with the port as you have to go straight in, whereas Lightening, you can go in still if it's at a slight angle.
@@Arexxen The notch size I could see them going for the smaller size like on the 14. I can’t envision Apple having a crazy big notch size like the earlier advanced iPhones. The AI features I highly doubt would be on there too for this SE 4 and even if they did, I feel like it would be extremely limited.
My only concern is its price. I don't care about 60hz display, Single camera, notch, Apple intelligence, slow charging, A17 or A18, mute or action button, face id or touch id. I need phone for my daily uses.
I want to say that Apple would never let SE have dynamic island, but if SE comes out at around the same time as the 17's are announced, and if the 17's no longer have anything visible on the front, which makes the dynamic island previous-gen, then maybe.

To be fair the 1st gen SE is still decent for those who only need a phone and don't use it outside of phone reasons. My mom's 1st gen SE is still going strong and I believe it was first sold in 2017 when the storage options were updated. It probably needs another new battery as I replaced it about 2 years ago but still going well. My dads iPhone 7 Plus is doing well with similar usage but absolutely could do with a new battery as that is dying very quickly and somehow beats my SE2 to a flat battery these days; my SE2 gets hammered because my job means it's constantly searching for signal.

Not really, a lot of people cannot afford to update their phone every year and some of those who wait cannot afford a flagship model. I bought the iPhone SE 1st gen second hand then bought the iPhone SE2 new and I have an apple issued replacement as my current main device. If my car insurance works out as cheap as I'd like it to and the MOT repairs needed on my car aren't too expensive I might be able to afford the iPhone SE4 about a month after release, or if I'm very lucky within a couple of weeks of launch. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to afford to preorder, buy a case and buy AppleCare all at once hence even more reason why I'll need to wait.
I hope they have the dynamic island it would make the lineup cohesive. It would be dumb to have a notch. People are not gonna spend 300+ more dollars to get a notch.
They’re not making this phone. By making this phone, they will completely cannibalize the standard and pro offerings. This phone is what a major majority of iPhone users are looking for. They don’t give a rats ass what the phone is made of because they’re smart enough to put a case on it….unlike some of the jokers online. They don’t care what kind of camera comes with the phone. And 99% of the consumers out there can’t tell the difference between 120 and 60 Hz. They don’t care that you have a new version of gorilla glass on the front. My iPhone 12 is working fine despite bad battery. It feels slow at time but usable. Just need to upgrade iPhone with bigger battery and everything else could actually be left as is!

I work in a technology store in the smartphone department. And a lot of older people come to me with older iPhones and want a new one but are shocked at the price. I think if the new SE has exactly these values it will play into the hands of many customers who still have very old iPhones but don't want to spend more than a thousand euros.
Honestly I would update my phone to a se4 but not if there’s not a Dynamic Island which sounds stupid but it’s just preference i have the notch so why would I want it when I get a new phone

I currently have an SE3 that I got on sale for $279 3yrs ago, so the SE4 will be a huge upgrade. I don't use the camera for anything but occasional check deposits so I don't need anything more than that. It sounds like it will be perfect for me. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Sorry, but you are 100% wrong. The iPhone SE four will be an iPhone X/10 S based design so no dynamic island no action but no 48 megapixel camera and also more than likely. It will have the a 16 or a 17 chip not the a 18.
I always try to skip a generation yet have grown increasingly addicted to large phablet screens. I picked up a used mint SE3 recently as a travel iPhone and have absolutely loved using it as a phone and started carrying a pocket cameras in a bag because that was the main reason I love the big screens! For the first time in years I will probably downgrade my next phone to an se4 based on the OLED screen alone! Game changer!

I wouldn't really consider this phone an upgrade from the 14 pro max. You're getting a smaller screen less Hz and even if it has Apple intelligence by the time it can do something impressive other than mixing emojis and summarizing notifications this SE will be outdated. Stick with your 14 PM and upgrade when the 17 comes out.

I currently have an SE3 that I got on sale for $279 3yrs ago, so the SE4 will be a huge upgrade. I don't use the camera for anything but occasional check deposits so I don't need anything more than that. It sounds like it will be perfect for me. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

I would definitely get the SE 4. The better chip. Apple Intelligence . Better single camera ( beats the two on the 13 ) , the future updates it will be due over the 13 too. You have usb c …. So much more to benefit from

I have a Iphone 12 pro max(the stainless steel housing is 🐐 better than aluminum and titanium!!! im waiting to see this Iphone Air!!!! Thats what Im excited for and wanting to get my hands on.
I came from a 12 pro max and went to a 16 pro max and I can say idc about stainless steel aluminum or titanium if you use a case it don’t matter 😂😂😂

Sorry, but you are 100% wrong. The iPhone SE four will be an iPhone X/10 S based design so no dynamic island no action but no 48 megapixel camera and also more than likely. It will have the a 16 or a 17 chip not the a 18.
It's okay to me if it's a notch I hopefully wish it has action button rather than dynamic island cuz action button is more important to me.

I always try to skip a generation yet have grown increasingly addicted to large phablet screens.
I picked up a used mint SE3 recently as a travel iPhone and have absolutely loved using it as a phone and started carrying a pocket cameras in a bag because that was the main reason I love the big screens!
For the first time in years I will probably downgrade my next phone to an se4 based on the OLED screen alone!

You're getting a smaller screen less Hz and even if it has Apple intelligence by the time it can do something impressive other than mixing emojis and summarizing notifications this SE will be outdated.
Stick with your 14 PM and upgrade when the 17 comes out.
