Randy She Yeah, me too! It has the same country feel and unquestionably similar! And for the record, I've flown with a soft shell guitar case on Westjet & I've seen the cargo guys softly load my guitar last into the aircraft hold in the rain here in Vancouver many times!

Still wouldn't fly with these guys, catchy songs or not, tell them to buy Canadian built aircraft like new C Series instaed of supporting USA buying Boeing product
They don't fly C Series, which is far superior to 737 and Canadian built, beyond that WestJet is just a regional carrier, no aircraft in the 3 rd largest market in North America, I am not an Air Canada fan , but at least I can get direct flights from Toronto, can't do that with West Jet, there hub needs to be in Toronto not Calgary, that's the big difference in the 2 carriers.

Mike Avation westjet is not a northern airline, if you fly in the north like alaska you go canadian northern airlines, Westjet is more like the US Airways of Canada

John Anderson or not. Its not their fault bombardier cant build a functional mid-size aircraft after billions in private and public investment. Not to mention westjet already buys the Q400 from Bombardier.

Only once they reach as many markets as Air Canada does would I consider. WestJet is still too small of an operation to really be the flag carrier. They are expanding with the recent order of several 787-9 jets so we'll see where that takes them.

More Canadian than West, at least Air Canada has ordered new Bombardier C Sseries from a Canadian. Company, I refuse to fly with West Jack until they stop ordered that 737 Yankee junk

Only because they will operate in any conditions world wide, they looked at the ATRs which are cheaper, but they can't operate in the cold. They still should order CS 100/300 , much better than 737, just ask the airlines that operate them. Besides, Boeing is a scavenger they tried to put Bombardier out of business in the states, but failed. I will never fly with West Jet on a 737, just my opinion

Westjet is not what it used to be.
Just by the name they preclude them self from being called the most Canadian airline in the air. They are Western Canadas airline that flies across Canada. Nothing more. Clive Bedoe refused to cede to Toronto as a base. That right there suggests he had a personal thing against the east. Things may have changed since he left but the name remains.

I don’t like West Jet because they never hired me for some reason I had experience above and below the wing I had a diploma in Aviation Operation but they rejected me so many times So I m with Air Canada
