There are approximately 20 hidden “Easter eggs” in this video. Some are symbols of Canada or part of Canadian culture and some are WestJet-specific. Who can spot them?

The goose the little girl has is so adorable
Finally! A safety video for WestJet! :D
I know, doesn't it look cute?
What a cute video! Love it and I think WestJet should sell some Goose plushies just like the one in the video.
good idea!
Yeah!
That would be a good mascot
Yeah!
This is a VERY detailed safety video. Love the animations!
This safety video talked about the brace position! Awesome!
Love the safety video! Great job WestJet!
It’s about time WestJet did a safety video. And it’s animated too!
But for once the animation is high quality💀
wow amazing . kids will love this video. thumbs up westjet take care my loves ❤️ 🇨🇦
I see this like every single time I fly to London love it great job WestJet can not wait to fly with you to Cabo!!!!
Beautifully animated!
OMG I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS ON THE PLANEEEEE❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is it me or is WestJet da BEST AND SAFEST CANADIAN AIRLINE IN THE WHOLE CANADA REGION?
Region lol... we have several but thx :)
I’m a Canadian and I never flown Westjet ;w;
I've flown Air Canada & West Jet, West Jet is better
AirCanada is best for me
Nope, WESTJET FOREVER!
Super cette vidéo pour les consignes de sécurité !
As a person who really loves travel, I can confirm all flights look like this in our perspective.
lmao
Beautiful safety video)
I'm bringing my personal goose on board next time!!
Yeah. I want a loon plushie too. Le huard en peluche, j'en veux un. XD
is it just me or did they go through the exit signs literally twice
Same. It's just for the people to remember.
It was a recap for people in case of an emergency who didn't look at the video, and it showed the most important part that has to be done by yourself for the good of everyone, evacuating.
The problem is that in North America these green signs are typically only in newer constructions and therefore people may not be used to them (which could cause a problem especially in an emergency). I for one used to red being the colour for 'exit' and whenever I've been on a plane (with a Canadian airline) there's always been the word 'Exit' and then it's repeated in French 'Sortie'. I can't remember for certain but I think when I flew Icelandair they had bilingual (English and Icelandic) exit signs. Although, I've seen these green signs and know what they mean it is likely an emergency one wouldn't be thinking straight. So they are trying to desperately drill this point into your head Heaven forbid something happened. It's like how they remind you how to take off your seatbelt. Especially with the lift the buckle ones it can be problematic because we're used to pushing a button in modern cars.
@@BBC600 Yes, most airlines will use the word EXIT with the same word translated into the language of the country where the airline is based, so for example on LH flights the sign will also say AUSGANG. They are changing this now because the green symbol is pretty much known around the world, except in the US.
It’s a requirement by TRANSPORT CANADA and TSA
J'adore le canard dans cette vidéo.
Moi aussi!
Welcome aboard everyone thank you for choosing west jet sit back relax and enjoy the flight ✈️
Beautiful!
I like this!!
I hope this will go on their newer 737 love it!
The 737s do not have screens
I know, but it will be great if they added screens
You guys defiantly need to start selling WestJet goose stuffies
Going to cancun tomorrow on west jet I’ll comment when I get back westjet
I like the safety video
The only thing I don't understand is why it shows the 'green symbols' for the emergency exits twice. Seems repetitive? @westjet
Probably because most of the people do not pay attention and so they hear it twice and it get "stuck" in their heads
It’s an FAA requirement.
@@westjet to explain it twice? Weird. Because it's different from the typical exit signs?
@@westjet also, great video!! Cant wait to fly the 787 to YYZ in April!
Dan Hall Yes. It’s part of the requirement for the new green exit signs.
It's a bit long, but it's like a little Disney movie, very cool! Very similar production value to some Asian airlines i've seen. I also feel like Westjet's 787 will probably be a MUCH better experience than Air Canada's.
Very true even if the business class is the same as Air Canada's
It's longer because they say everything in both English and French. I think would be better though to do all the English and then all the French, so you only need to listen to one
Cool I love that it's cute I like to take a flight to get to Newfoundland
I cant wait for there 787s ti start ops to lax
That will likely never happen
This Safety Video makes me wanna fly Westjet's 787 :D
Same but the b787 doesn't fly to my country only the b737 max 8
NO BIRD IN AIRPLANE🤣 0:37
When your putting on your life vest you can blow into the tube or pulling the sting to inflate the vest can't you do both besides I love the animation I also love the Dreamliner my favorite plane ever out of all the west jet planes
girl: gose on plane
also the girl: look im gonna destroy a life vest
People complaining the safety video is too long, I just checked Qantas 2018 safety video and it's 7 mins and 6 seconds and it's only in one language. British Airways is 6 minutes. Singapore Airlines is almost 6 minutes. Some people just have very short attention span.
Why am I watching an airline safety video when I'm on the ground. In my house, no where near an airport?
That goose tho
Sooooooooooooooo much better than air Canada. Best safety video ever
I found a WestJet Platinum Baggage card!
WestJet is the best airplane company!!! :D

Airlines, for example, WestJet, don’t build their own planes. The 787 is built by Boeing
@@JayJayAviation And the ones who built planes are the manufacturers, like Boeing, Airbus or Embraer, for example.
when i flew the first time IT DINT LOOK LIKE THIS
I prefer air Canada but westjet is good
What's with the Canadian Airlines goose?
It’s a Canada Goose. Yes, CAL had it on their planes, but it’s also a part of Canadian culture. There are approximately 20 Easter eggs in this video. Some are symbols of Canada, some are WestJet specific.
2:17
Safety video was creative and nice. However, it was very long and I feel some passengers will lose attention to it.
Well its long because its in French and English
Why is it in french?
Secondary language of Canada
The seat crack always tho 😐
All safety plane videos in canada must be in English and French as the official languages of Canada!
It would be great if you could choose a language for the video rather than have it in English/French at the same time. Great video but too long.
I think it's a legal requirement here in Canada to have safety videos/demonstrations be in both French and English. Although I agree that it would be nice to pick.
Yes. It is a requirement in Canada that all passengers hear all safety announcements in both English and French
Hmm, that may be true, but I have seen previous videos that had both an English and French version. The both languages is probably what causes the video to be so long.
@@thebigdog360 This is Westjet's first safety video, so there can't be any previous videos. All the Air Canada safety videos are the same with mixed English and French in one video.
It’s a requirement of Transport Canada for all Canadian-based Air Carriers to conduct safety briefings in both English and French, as both languages are official languages of Canada. Some Francophones don’t speak English.

Westjet is airplane

It's an airline 💀
And then right after that video you go back to hearing coughing, clicking, engine start ups, and apu shut down.
Why does this remind me of Frozen? Is it just me or others feel the same?
Ohhh an emergency landing is a nice Activity to start into vacation NO ITS NOT Why are the saftey videos often tells that
I think this video is good, but I sort of feel like they've targeted the wrong audience. It's almost targeted for kids only, despite the vast majority of people flying will be adults.
airbus 787
It’s so long.
That's what she said.
G G cause it has to say everything in French and English. That makes it twice as long.
yall got no screens
This is the 787 safety video
I don't like this safety video very much. Why is it 7 minutes long!!!!
MC18 Studios everything is repeated in French which takes up time,
I know right it is so long!
_dan5283 But Air Canada's video is only 4 minutes
English and French, that’s why. They have to as per Transport Canada.
It’s in French and English!!
A ripoff of Air Canada
Bro this is ULTRA CRINGE 😂
This is terrible. The video is unnecessarily long and repeats information. The cartoon belongs on Disney Channel, not an airline safety video. Total miss for WestJet.
Thanks for your feedback on the theme of the video. The repetition of the exit location is an FAA requirement.
They're going through all the safety features of the aircraft in 2 languages, you probably would want to know all this in case something happens.
WestJet I don’t mean to sound crabby, I just think the company had a great opportunity to present each and every passenger with a sophisticated safety video, but missed the mark. The company has done an incredible job with refreshing their look, adding top of class planes to the fleet (aka the Dreamliner), and in a competitive market with rivals like Air Canada, a childish video feels like a step in the wrong direction in capturing a greater share of the Canadian and international market.
lmm I’m aware of this. Other airlines do the same in a fraction of the time, providing the same necessary information.
@@davidlee2651 not true, if you put the time of the safety demonstration in both lauguages for any airline flying a large aircraft you'll realize they are the same, most airlines do a english version first and then the second language, WestJet has chosen to combine the 2, if WestJet would had chosen to do that this video would have been 3:36 long followed by a second language. I must say if 7 mins is to long for you to pay attention that says more about you than the company.
Show the part where you have to pay for a blanket or hurt your mouth eating cannon ammo buns
