A year has gone by since Saitek said they were testing drivers for Windows 8 and nothing has happened. None of this stuff works with Windows 8 and all I hear from Saitek customer support is crickets. If you're still running Win XP or Win7 you're probably ok. Win 8? Forget it.
Sports pilot license and training.4550$. Renting a plane these days is really easy and cheap... This thing: 5000$+needs beefy pc $+might want some more controls(buy more panels)$$+ probably want a bigass screen or multi monitor$$$$ But f me, i'd totally buy that given the money! Saitek pro flight system.
mikelagaffe the licence you are referring too is the recreational pilots permit (RPP) which is for light/ultralight aircraft and costs roughly $5000 with flight and ground school, but the private pilots licence (PPL) cows roughly $10,000 to obtain but allows more aircraft types you can fly as well as gets you closer to many other Ratings/certificates a pilot can obtain, but in my opinion do what I'm doing and go for you Recreational licence and use the other $5000 to build a way better set up then this, pro flight saitek has good stuff but it's so expensive.
It's nice (and unique) to see in this day and age a set of dedicated pro-looking devices like these. I far prefer a specialized dedicated hardware to a do-everything consumer crap such as... Eh... don't get me started.
I have build my own Cockpit i only need totaly around 1000$, 3x Flight Panel 500$ and 100$ for the Wood Nussbaum and also the New Airbus Thrust joystick Set 200$ and the MSFS Software 150$ that software in the Video looks like 2011 ahh the Video is from then hihihi. Thumb up Adam and friends.

like the guy said in the video , you can buy one at a time till you have it all, like I am doing ! all I like now is the six pack , and I am enjoying every minute I am on it !
Saitek fucked up by game locking these. If they worked on games like War Thunder, IL2 DCS, Falcon 4.0, Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen more people would buy them! Right now the complete set is like $3k total and locked to a single game or two.
They're not exactly locked to any games, its jsut that saitek only bothered making plugins for a couple games, problem is, they expected the community to make plugins for what they call "DirectOutput" and that never happened, and the only good source of it, the saitek forums, was shut down a while back
the problem is the game developers need to support them they need to have the necessary code to export the information to the gadges. they cant just get the information from anygame. dont blame saitek blame the developers.
PLS give the Saitek equipment back to a competent peripheral manufacturer. * *facepalm* * MadCatz should stick to making shitty knock-off console controllers. GameShark? Seriously? That still exists?
such a rip off. i got a VRinsight MCP for 500, the CDU for 500, the NGX for 60, CH products are better quality and a bit cheaper. the most expensive thing was the computer. 5 grand for just those instruments and controls? mega ripoff.

no link to the seller's page? no ability to follow up?? no part numbers? no details? please add value to your video reviews
You only need 5000$.... everybody has that! ._.

To be fair, if I spent $5,000 on a control system, I would probably be OK spending a bit on a copy of Windows 7
but even FSX fails on windows 8 so why should they really? Windows 7 is needed for FSX not 8
I like the sound of crickets tho

Yeah, for $5k you could have basic real cockpit avionics.
like the guy said in the video , you can buy one at a time till you have it all, like I am doing ! all I like now is the six pack , and I am enjoying every minute I am on it !

well for us in X-plane, Xsaitekpannels exists, which is a community made free plugin to drag and drop into X-plane10 folder....and it works! ^^
I'm waiting for star citizen... to get some kind of HOTAS. This stuff intrigues me but if what you say is true... not interested

PLS give the Saitek equipment back to a competent peripheral manufacturer. * *facepalm* * MadCatz should stick to making shitty knock-off console controllers.

FSX is so lame, only because of it's age though......Can't believe no other company is really making anything like it. X plane is terrible.
