- My friend came to visit our maid robot café.
MaSiRo will do her best to serve.
October 7-9, 2022.
Maid Robot MaSiRo served at Café Triomp, a rental café in Akihabara, Tokyo.
This was the Maid Robot Café prototype opened experimentally.
Four years have passed since the MaSiRo project was launched.
Check our 4 year old daughter's serving for the first time.
The MaSiRo project is developing real maid robots, and the goal is "maid robot café with maid robots that look like they came out from an anime."
What we have achieved this time is just a "prototype".
This is not the goal, but is the starting line as a maid robot.
We will continue to develop the MaSiRo sisters to make them smarter and cuter.
Please keep your eyes on them.

Definitely needs a lot more polishing, but it looks to be working just as intended. Can't wait to see how much our lovely robotic maid do in the future!
Yeah the movements lack fluency but I think it will be rectified as time passes

@@Schale.kivotos Not as creepy as it could be, its less universally disurbing than if they tried to make them look more realistic rather than sticking to the more blatantly anime-esque style.

I seriously love the child like curiosity from the pink one in the back at 2:36, the way she looks away for a moment before looking back again. I really hope they keep these little gestures the maids make as they upgrade them even further. It really makes them feel a bit more alive!

Even not completed you can see the effort this man put in his humanoids
They are learning at all times so as to implement better communication and understanding of humanity. And to also to just better themselves
I still find it amazing that 1 guy (with some help online) made 3 humanoid robots that can complete so many tasks. This is something that large companies struggle to accomplish with hundreds of thousands of dollars and tens to hundreds of employees.
It's due to the competitive nature, decision making, financials (or greed if included) and other complicated stuff that the companies have to deal with which is why their products can sometimes fail despite the resources, as for the Mashiro Project, it was made by man with a hobby who wishes to make his work become a reality

@@deathtrooper199 Of course there's all these details. Like safety compliance, reliability, scalability for production, varied use cases, affordability. Just a few niggling issues that you know, uppity people like you would "call out" these companies for if they didn't take care of. Unlike a single inventor who can compromise as much as needed, and define their own level of success.
I'm not saying this achievement isn't fantastic of course. But comparing this to products made by larger companies in this way at best speak of gross ignorance.
Personally, I'd say you're just being disingenuous instead. Commercial robotics out in the market are already far more advanced than this, including those meant for domestic or entertainment use. While dealing with all the issues I mentioned that an indie inventor doesn't have to.

All she needs is a voice, a GPS function, and an ability to learn to perform simple tasks, and the Chobits anime could become a reality.

It's creepy in some places, but in other, just absolutely adorable.
Think of it as the very early steps of actual robots like these. In the future, their designs and functions will hopefully improve! Much like how early video games look primitive in the day versus how realistic they look now. Baby steps!

サーバー means computer server (among other things). You can say 給仕人, ウェイトレ, 接客係, even メイドさん in this case

After all this time improving and polishing them
It's so good to see the project finally taking it's first steps
I really get the feeling that they are doing their best in the café, tending to the customers even if they are shy. Makes me want to cheer them on. You can do it, MaSiRo 姉妹!
The updates on the project always bring a smile to my face. It has been such a long journey, but look at these three mature young ladies now.
With my trip to Japan becoming more and more certain, I am definitely planning on a visit once I get there, even if I have to break schedule.
I am going to Japan next year, but i can't find the adress of this Cafe anywhere. 😅 I think they don't open regulary.
Well, it's still in its Prototype phase. So maybe it will be open to the public at a later date.

This is great! I think the designs of the robots are really good, they look lifelike without looking realistically human enough to fall into the uncanny valley. That, combined with the way they move, makes them come across to me like big friendly animated dolls. I doubt that everyone would be comfortable around them, but i really like them and i think they’re a step in the right direction for robot design!

Im usually very frightened of robots/animatronics, these however I just find cute. I think that says a lot.

This is exactly how robots start out; first they start out as rather out there and standing out very noticeable... but just watch, in ten years from now, they'll be completely different.

THEY'RE SO CUTE! their movements are a bit slow but I understand the limitations, it's impresive what people with lots of dedication can do! I Hope It can keep UP and improve even more!
Yeah I mean this is made by a guy working mostly by himself not a huge company. And it's still in early phase, he's very dedicated so I'm sure more great things to come in the future!
Damn son, the live action Chobits looks gud.
I think there's manga with similar premises to this that already exists out there, but seeing it come to life is just a breathtaking sight to behold.

I remember only seeing the robot maid alone with no context behind it and thought it was a cute idea and that we as a species are slowly moving forward with robotics. Now knowing it’s for a maid cafe, it’s even more interesting

I have not heard of this project before seeing this video on my recommended, but I am very fascinated by this! Seems like a small scale creator so it's cool how far this has come. Decided to donate on BOOTH immediately, because I hope this will become a real cafe one day for me as a foreigner to visit when I can visit Japan again. It's not much but I hope it helps. I love the design of these maid robots, they're really cute and they delivered the food on the tray! That's so cool. If I ever visit Japan I'd love to see MaSiRo café. I'd feel like I'm living in the future when I'm in there in person. I live in United States and I only see robots that are work in progress, or if there are robots they don't look humanoid, they're usually self-checkouts or tall cleaning robots on wheels in supermarket or in malls.
*I didn't think this is what I would see when I got off work but hey, it's pretty awesome all the same!!!*

I want to embrace this new idea, I just cannot seem to do it. This as clunky as it looks is the beginning to a more advanced robotization.
I love the idea about the bell however what happens when there's a lot of bells going off at the same time won't the program get confused?

@@AnimeMalware idk, probably have a bell stand so that it doesn't actually react to the sound of the bell, but a signal is sent from a specific table when the bell is lifted. could also have an accelerometer or something to activate the bell and send a signal
