Maid Robot MaSiRo served at Café Triomp, a rental café in Akihabara, Tokyo.
This was the Maid Robot Café prototype opened experimentally.
Four years have passed since the MaSiRo project was launched.
Check our 4 year old daughter's serving for the first time.
The MaSiRo project is developing real maid robots, and the goal is "maid robot café with maid robots that look like they came out from an anime."
What we have achieved this time is just a "prototype".
This is not the goal, but is the starting line as a maid robot.
We will continue to develop the MaSiRo sisters to make them smarter and cuter.
Please keep your eyes on them.

これで喋って受けごたえが出来てと・・・なんか本当にSFの世界が現実になりつつあるんだなぁって
思いました。プロジェクト期待しています。
Don't know if it's due to the camera not tracking properly but the fact that Masiro keeps looking away from you and glancing off to the side is adorable, it's like she's too embarrassed to keep eye contact.
Also the side glance as she turns away feels oddly sentient.
Definitely intentional. The Japanese can't get enough of their shy girls.
I suspect the black "dot" on her color is the true camera.
(Edit: Actually, we can see the set of cameras on her headband.)

給仕しているメイドロボも、周りで見ているメイドロボも、奥の男性スタッフも、なんかみんな健気だね。

I was wondering how they would get them to safely deliver stuff, having that little cupholder built into the tray was a clever idea
I think it's magnetic. At first, nothing was on the tray. Which is even more ingenious... can remove it to deliver snacks etc
Makes me wish they had something like that for real waiters and waitresses lol
2:00 you can hear the cupholder making a 'snapping' or slapping sound as its placed on the tray.

Human meat have the texture of pork and tastes like a combination of pork and veal. The chewiness and sheer cholesterol taste is a huge turndown

Ah, I was wondering why in one of the video the card seemed to be defying gravity. She's got a small magnet in her palm and it grips onto the metal paperclip attached to the card. Even the cup holder is magnetic. Makes sense, there's bound to be stability problems if she were to do this unassisted at this stage of development
Also, it sounded like the customer dropped the cup just after taking it, yet the sound suggests the cup was empty
I think it was a test to see if it works.
But what if two customers were to their bells at the same time? I wonder if these robots would have issues on who gets priority.
@@ultraspinalki11 yeah thats a good question. I would imagine the robot would just choose whichever one is closest since it makes sense to do that

I watched the video regards the first steps and the evolution of Masiro and it's clear how much love and passion are behind this project. Moreover can we just appreciate he thought even about her future and found also a job?

I wonder how fast they would go if the motors where running at max voltage? It would probably need a wheelie bar to achieve it’s top speed though…

Don't know why but I find them unnerving. Not to discount the artistry and engineering because it's all around very cool. Would like to know why I feel slightly frightened by them when everyone else is overwhelmed by how cute they are

製作者も利用客も共に「この子（達）が好き」という基本感情があってこそサービスとして成り立つ。動きがトロかろうが治具を利用してのトレイ越しだろうが「よく頑張ったね」と言ってあげたくなっちゃうし、製作者と利用客との間でもイロイロ盛り上がると思う。
大手企業が万人受けの商用化を目指すと、ペッパー君やASIMOになるｗ
