Here from the future to tell you that a year later, and you finally have the hot air balloon in your room!!!! 😊😊 The dress is beautiful and so are you!!!
I've been doing weekly photoshoots for the past 2 weekends (because pregnancy) just for me/us. I purchased a gown marketed as bump friendly, and after the sun sets (for consistent lighting) and light makeup, I put on the dress and pose by the window in the room that will be the nursery. I plan to do this every weekend until they arrive. If we are traveling, for an event that I hope happens, I will take the dress with and find a pretty location. Last time, I was 8 weeks, and I had been wearing my gummy bear necklace for luck ever since they might have been a maybe to hope that they would become gummy bear sized. So I took pictures with gummy bears all around me and their ultrasound pictures on my belly wearing the lucky necklace. It smelled so good! They look like a little gummy bear, and I love them. I can't wait until I give them their first gummy bear and tell them this story.
Here's a specific benefit to doing photoshoots on location for a regular project: it gets you out of the house! And it's a way you can get out of the house while retaining some control of whether or not you interact with 😱 people 😱. It seems like this would be a great way to treat yourself well and show love to yourself, and hopefully get you out in real nature (even if it's just your backyard or something)
Darling girl, do not feel that time to do what makes you happy is frivolous. Take as much as you can. If at anything you chose to add children to your life you will absolutely not have time for yourself for at least 18 years so please enjoy it now. Your content makes a lot of people happy so keep doing it for as many years as you can.
One of the easiest ways to create an easy interchangeable backdrop: get a cheap clothes rack, a collection of thrift-store flat sheets, and paint. Take the sheets outdoors and splatter, roll, and brush paint onto the sheets.
I have been following you for months now, but all of a sudden your older material came across my feed, so I figured "what the hell?" lets watch...you truly turned into a goddess with this doona cover..do you still have the dress in your wardrobe..?? if so, cut the sleeves shorter, and perhaps raise the hem so you won't trip over it, and you'll have a lovely dress to wear..I thoroughly enjoy your work, and am so amazed at what you put together with very little pattern drafting...
Just a hint next time you want green try getting a raiment roll of fake green to put down like a rug. I put on my balcony not only for me but for my 2 furbabies. It makes all the difference. In your case you could roll it back up and use for another photo shot. It isn't that pricy either.
love this - that dress is gorgeous! Seriously, I would make a scaled down, more practical version out of some nicer (non-stinky) fabric for summertime :) not right now though, I know you're packing - good luck with the move!
I always love house plants, ESPECIALLY in the gloomy winter moths.. I always end up with new plants then... My collection ahs been like a tide, swelling from gloomy month impulse buys, and subsiding usually from an infestation I can't beat that come in on a new plant >.< If my dog had her way, I'd never get any sewing done, she wants to play all the time.
I would look into face paint if you want to put paint on your skin. You can get a full color palette from tag body art and its $65 is dollars for a set but its lasted me over a year of periodicallly fully covering my face in paint and is actuallly skin safe and at least comes with all the colors and bits you need to get started.
This project was so whimsical and pretty! You really do look like a plant goddess with her familiar pet (your puppy is an endless source of cuteness). I did a similar project during the 2020 lockdown, making myself a medieval-ish dress and headwear out of a duvet cover and had a photoshoot on my balcony. I modified the dress the next summer to wear it daily and it's so incredibly comfortable
This came out so pretty! I love it! I keep wanting to make a dress out of starfish bedsheets and I'm so anxious about it. I need to just do it and I love how you just go for it. I feel inspired 💛🧡💚
I believe the model of machine yiu have has a surgery stitch. On the knows the is an "S" that allows you to use a secondary row of stitches (surgery included). You may need a different presser foot though. Every thing turned out beautiful.
i loved every minute of this! all my plants are together in one place, and i have two floor lamps with plant bulbs on a timer so the planties get 12 hrs of light from like 7 am to 7 pm. it truly is a paradise, and i don't have to go all over my house to water everything like i would if i had different planties in different rooms.
Emulating Rachel….not too bad an idea! Especially when you are so successful at it. You look like a completely different person in make up. As for myself, I learned early that if you don’t put make up on, you don’t have to worry about taking make up off.
Shorten the skirt to ankle or calf length, shorten the sleeves to around elbow length and you have yourself lovely summery dress for the warmer months of the year. Why waste the fabric when it will actually make a fabulous summer dress with a different and unique shoulder/sleeve design [shorter is merely more practical].
Okay, listen: I don't know what to say. Thanks. ...no seriously, I've been binging* your videos since YT decided for some reason to recommend one and I LOVE that you're getting more views and subs and I always want to comment because it really feels like we're just hanging out but I want to comment on *every single little thing you say* because I relate so much and that would just get SILLY (much like this already has) soooo.. I like these. Make more as long as you're having fun. Yay. Okay bye for now. *Bingeing? Consuming. Sure.
Well hey, if we want to talk about relatability... I 100% relate to this! I always want to comment on stuff, and then I'm like well but I don't have anything broad enough to say, and I can't say all the tiny little things because then no one will understand exactly which point I'm referencing, and so in the end, I overthink it and don't comment at all. But I'm so glad you commented! Relatability high-five!
@@gettheetothestitchery "I overthink it and then..." Well if that ain't the story of my life. HIGH-FIVE! We should both just comment all the things and let god sort it out! Huzzah! Or something, I don't know. I probably shouldn't have said that. 😅
"Devour a loaf of bread with goat cheese and call that dinner."
I am in this sentence and I don't like it.
I raise goats and make cheese and this sentence sounds like perfection 😂❤😊
It is so weird to watch vids in chaotic order and find at 17:16 the easter egg. The lamp! Oh my god that lamp!
Good for you for doing this just for fun!! The project turned out great. The dress looked like it was glorious to wear--those sleeves!!
Thank you! It was definitely loads of fun to run around in it!
That was a joy. Thank you for reminder that we all need to embrace the carefree

very pretty fabric makes a very pretty dress.
Well that was fun to watch! Great combination of upcycle sewing and joy.
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I love Matt's cameos! He has such calming and sunny energy. I'm glad you found a great human to be your partner.

If what you do is bringing joy to you, 🎉🎉then in no way is it frivolous! Nope, nada, never!!
That was fun! Your set looked amazing! The photos are lovely. You should remember to have fun with your reveals!
You’re the queen of drama 🤩 Love it, love it, love it! And truly an inspirational force like few others. Keep them coming, Girl 🫶🏻

Our local dollar tree has cheap makeup, but I don't know how good it is. 😮 Their make-up brushes are da bomb.😊
So much fun. Thank you!
That was tons of fun to watch. Thank you
Loved this! Dress is so beautiful on you!
Very Demeter, I love it
