The low bathroom counters may be due to someone being in a wheelchair. I noticed the grab bars near the toilets and most people only put those in if you have mobility issues. It is an amazing house and those hard wood floors are gorgeous. Congratulations on finally getting the keys!
In the now dining room to be there are two groves in the carpet that remind me of the ones that would form where my uncle (who was wheelchair bound) would spend a lot of time.
I've moved over 30 times in my life and I'm not yet 50. The last move was 12 yrs ago...when we finally got a home of our own. Housing stability is amazing.
Congrats on finally closing! It’s such a stressful process. If you really love the wallpaper, you can save a piece and frame it as art. My parents sent me a piece of the kitchen wallpaper from my childhood home. I still have it.
Book moving advice from someone who has not moved 19 times, so add salt as needed. Only fill the box halfway with books. Rest of the way with fabric. Saves your back!
The room with the fireplace will make an excellent dining room. And a second much smaller living room is / was known as a den. It's where most of the family hung out most of the time. The living room dining room combo was known as the formal or guesting rooms . It was mainly used for company or large family gatherings like thanksgiving.
Looking at this makes me realise again how different the US and northern Europe are. I don't know anyone who has a house that big. Not even some of the quite wealthy people or people with several children I know have that big of a house. It's completely surreal for me. No judgement intended btw, just astonished. Congratulations on the new house! Wish you all the best for making it your home :) PS: excellent puppy content :D
It’s a culture of excess in trying to keep up with the jones. It has crept up to Canada too I’m sorry to say. When I look at big houses, all I see is more housework. I’m very happy in my 2 bedroom bungalow.
I was equally surprised about how quickly they could buy it. It took me six months last time in the U.K. to buy a vacant property. I had already sold mine and the person I was buying from had already moved out. Couldn’t have been a simpler purchase. Lawyers sucked.
"Once you feel disgusting, you might as well plow ahead." Me every time I move. Seems like it's always July or January. I so know how that goes. But you did it!
Beautiful house. Love the fireplace & round pool. FYI on the pool landscaping, we do not have any flowers around our pool because they attract bees. Bees are not a good combination with sweaty people or food around a pool. A beachy or desert vibe works best. Myself, I have 3 places in my pool yard where I created a collection of interesting rocks. A rock garden hardscape with a collection of geodes, large glass pieces, big rock memorabilias from different places, couple of statues inherited & vaca memorabilia, old inherited terra cotta clay pots upside down & sideways with rocks spilling out.
Given the grab bars in the bathrooms, I'm wondering if a previous owner used a wheelchair - it would explain the low sinks, if they had to use them while seating alongside or underneath them. Congrats on finally closing and getting the keys, I'm happy to see you getting more settled and I look forward to following along as you grow into your new home!!
I thought this too! Even if just one of the folks who lived there used a wheelchair - even part time - it makes sense the bathroom counter would be lower. And the grab bars installed at the toilets.
We had the same problem with the closing date not happening. Fortunately our landlords let us stay another month - yes, a month - and though everything was packed, we were moving ourselves (it was not far away) so we didn't have to pay canceling the move, but we did pay a month's home insurance on a home we did not own (plus our rent)! Well, 30 yrs+ later...😊
So when my hubby and I moved into our first house that was built in the early 70’s we decided to redo some things. Every room that had old wallpaper we tried to save a decent sized piece and framed it and hung it in the room. It’s a great way to modernize the house, but still keep some of the charm and pay homage to the past.
That new house is great. Even though a lot is vintage, it looks like everything is acceptable in appearance (It's old enough that it's actually partly back in style). We painted over ugly wallpaper and paneling for a few months. The telephone desk is sweet - they were often used as a bill-paying station. The divided master bath is typical of 1960s houses. It enabled one to bathe while the other could still get ready; we had one in our second apartment and it was a god-send.
I’m so happy for you! When we moved from apartment life to building our house (try that with an 18 month old and 3 year old), it was sooo much better! Sewing/quilting etc. room, large yard, and space made all the difference. You’re going to love the process of interior design! The curtains, rugs, paint, flooring, trim (if you want it), bathroom fixtures/cabinetry, and all will be so exciting and sometimes frustrating. Congratulations again on your new house, and may it be the last one you have to own for the next few decades.
Thank you for 1. refusing to endure popcorn ceilings, and 2. ripping up carpet. If there's two things I hate in a house, it's those. I look forward to the demo and reno videos to come!
I find up north that carpet in BEDROOMS and the downstairs rec room are worth the hassle of not having feet freeze. BUT when we live in the South, I'm with you all the way - only (preferably) wood / wood-ish vinyl or (if I have to) tile.
After growing up in a house that was 100% carpeted, even the bathrooms and laundry room, I have a moral objection to carpet. And I live in very arid climates, so I can only imagine the horrors that're wrought in humid climates.
@MicahKC I love my popcorn ceilings because it adds texture and life to my space. Having flat walls and flat ceilings is boring to me. My house was built in 2000 so I don't have to worry about asbestos. Also, some of my rooms have carpet and others have tile. I hate walking on the tile because it's too cold and hard floors are bad for my joints. Carpet on the other hand has a fluffy padding underneath which makes it pleasant to walk on and it's warm to the feet.
I love seeing doggo stealing the show in like... every corner of the new house 💜 He reminds me of my girl, who is also a black tri mini aussie, and an attention-sloot. Such a pleasant distraction 🥰
OMG - So so happy for you and what a gorgeous house. Am going to LOVE watching you renovate, decorate, and make it your own. Thank you for showing it to us. And congratulations! Big Hugs
I know you weren't hugely impressed with all the wood paneling but, oh my, I bet you'll miss all that built in storage! But what a beautiful family home to grow into.😊 🎉
Congratulations on your new home! I am relieved that you are not tearing up everything (money does make a difference I will allow). The place is beautiful and will be wonderful for you and your hubby. You didn't actually show much of the older stuff you received from your family, but what I saw was very interesting. I hope you will find a place for it! I don't actually do much sewing for myself the days, though I actually did sew for my children and made clothes for myself until the mid 1980's when I found thrift stores. These days (I am 77) I will quilt and sew this and that. Love your personality and hope to see some renovations in the future!
At minute 21:58-22:01 - the sink outside the bathroom reminds me of a hotel. Someone could be brushing their teeth and not have to wait for the other to get out of the bathroom. Not that that's necessary for you, but maybe that was the original plan. It would be cool to go back in time and see the thought processes of the people planning the house. Like the movie: "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" movie.
Haha that's exactly what I told Mat - I was like look this is fun and all, but it feels like living in a hotel. (Also, I haven't seen that movie in so long and now I want to go watch it again!)
14:17 definitely lol at least you have a roof over your head, what looks like a very nice bed to sleep in, the hotel your at allows dogs, and you have purpose in life
SO excited for you! The stress of being committed to something out of your control is not fun. Yay for the new house … it’s gorgeous! Putting the dining room in that room with the fireplace off the kitchen is perfect. Love it! When you have the electrician in to do the lighting, here’s something to consider: you can get LED strip light fixtures that fit perfectly in closets. We just did this, and OMG. Best Thing Ever. Even in a closet with a ceiling light. It’s not enough. We had them hard wired in, mounted vertically, right next to the doors. Daylight brilliance is amazing, especially in a closet that contains sewing things you need to find. At night. Trust me. 😂
I get with the risk of asbestos getting rid of the popcorn, but it gets undue hate. No other way to cover the ceiling helps get rid of echos in rooms and dampen noise. Other than actually putting sound dampeners in
Congrats on getting through that marathon, I can't even imagine your level of patience with how long you've been saying you've been waiting on closure. Looks like it was worth it and excited to see the projects you take on in your new house 🎉
I would totally turn that breakfast nook into a butler’s pantry! So much lovely potential in the house - it’s gonna look amazing once the ceilings and floors have been taking care of!
Whew, I'm glad you ACTUALLY closed on the house - it looks great! And I like some of the wallpaper, too. Since you have a pool now, you know what you need to sew: swimsuits! (Only if you want to.)
I was so worried your house purchase would fall through and you'd be stuck in a hotel room for months, so it's brilliant that it all finally came together! 🎉 The house is amazing, and I can't wait to see you put your own stamp on it - especially the seeing room 😍
I'm so glad you found your forever house. It's glorious already, and has so much potential!! I do property maintenance which includes some commercial spaces and some apartments, and nobody EVER does a good job cleaning when they move out. When we have the time between tenants, we do a thorough cleaning and patch and paint the walls and fix anything they never reported as broken... I would forgive people for not cleaning behind the fridge and stove, but only about half the outgoing tenants even clean the toilet, nevermind the whole bathroom. I did have one who left his Roomba running overnight after all his stuff was out to deal with the cat hair and that was probably the only time I've not been able to tell for sure that there was a cat or dog living in one of our units, only places cat hair remained was behind the fridge and stove and toilet. We had one tenant who used to let their dog crap in the basement and another who let theirs do it on their balcony. Only one tenant in the ten years we've been doing this has has ever even made an attempt at cleaning the oven before they moved out. The last place we cleaned had carpeting, and I don't think the dog owners owned a vacuum cleaner capable of dealing with pet hair, we even had a professional carpet cleaner come in and it took him three hours to deal with two bedrooms, a rec room and two flights of stairs. I'm glad you got the extra time to clean. I can't imagine moving out and leaving the kind of disaster I've had to deal with from former tenants.
congrats on the new home!! that sink in the hallway of the main bedroom would make a lovely vanity, but if you're not a makeup / skincare person my partner also pointed out that you could set up a coffee bar there, since you have access to running water in that little nook. i'm so glad y'all finally closed on the house, and i'm super looking forward to renovation content!!
I thought coffee bar too! We'd love to replace the sink with a water filter so we can fill up our water bottles without going to the kitchen (ermagerd gotta be lazy and not walk a few feet XD).
Beautiful house. The room off the laundry is probably a MIL suite, it would make an excellent guest suite with nice privacy for them. . You may find real hardwood floors under the carpet.
Yes I totally understand moving is the worst. We are doing it right now. I will give you a big word of advice!!!!! The less you own the less you have to move. After 33 years of marriage we have a lot of stuff!!! I’m very jealous of all the space you have. Hahaha we had to move to a small apartment for now out of a very large house. I miss the space!!! Your house is beautiful and so glad you finally closed on it. You will enjoy the fun making all yours
Your new home is huge. Well done on finally getting the keys. I agree the wallpapers are cute. When you take them down it might be worth saving a piece. You could do whatever with it. Might be worth checking what's under the carpet if a couple of rooms are wood.
What a great ending to your video. I was worried we would have to wait until your next video to see if you actually got the place. It's fabulous. It's huge! Big congratulations.❤
My front room is like urs I built a wall in dining space and it was a bedroom for awhile and is now our guest room and craft room. Setting up Murphy bed and have art and sewing desk in there. And still have my own separate office in sunroom too
We closed on 9/11. Took 5 months, not days, to fully move in. First move in over 90 years meant a lot to clear out. Think of what time and hassle you saved by doing it 21 times while you are still young.
I am so please for you that you have closed and have got the keys. Gosh it is big, and beautiful, I think you could fit my house here in the UK in twice. You now have all the fun of planning each rooms décor. It will be frustrating to wait in a hotel but you can plan in your head while you work on your embroidery and just have some downtime getting ready for your last un packing for a long time. I wish you all health and happiness in your new home and look forward to catching up with you soon.
I feel your pain. I've been in limbo for a few months, my mom bought a property for me and an rv for her to stay in and travel the country. I was hoping to have a place to park the rv on my property and start working on building by now, but life never goes the way I'd like and I've been staying with very generous friends while I get everything going.
I moved last year and I had to pack up my stuff from sitting in one spot for 20 years, it was my sewing room that took forever and I can tell you it didn’t take 2 days, it took months… 🤦🏼♀️
Watching this video all I can think is "your backs are going to hurt tomorrow." Also Patrice could use a stake (plank) to climb up/prop up, tis aerial roots will attach to the stake and help keep it upright.
Love the house look! I know this is a bit old but I wanted to toss a friendly reminder about making sure your pool is safe for the doggo. I think I saw stairs and you probably have more awareness already about that. But I know it can be hard to remember the little details especially since you have had such a crazy few months so I wanted to put this here!
I'm so glad that you finally got the keys!! The house is lovely and looks to be well worth the wait. The office \ library is an awesome idea! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your ideas for the house.
YAY! I actually squeed when you said you closed. And my dog got all excited as well. This was such great news, and I'm so happy you are finally in your own home and not subject to the whims of landlords! Looking forward to seeing what you guys do with everything. HUZZAH!
Most likely there would be wood floors under the carpets except in the maids room. Also get the chimneys cleaned. Love the sink and vanity outside the bathroom. Helps couples stay out of each other’s way.
I’m so excited for you!! The fireplace room- I can just see one of those 1960’s curved couches in that room !! Also the grass in back might come back!! Wait until after winter to be sure !! Cypress trees can make great privacy walls but rats really like them too!! Can not wait to see what you do with this house !! It’s awesome!!
Don’t put in grass! Especially living in such a hot area, look into native lawn-replacements that will not look sad and dead when there’s a drought. ❤️
Just love the house, love the idea of the dinning room being moved to the room facing onto the pool, that makes for dinner parties a lot of fun. The living room could be setup as entertaining in one half and the end where it use to be the dinning room could become the TV/Movie knock. Yuck, popcorn ceilings we spent a month of clearing it out of one room on our own, the following rooms we plastered over them made the nice and smooth. That took 3 days😹😹😹 Looking forward to seeing the changes as you get the chance to do them. But it definitely looks like you stepped back in time to the 1960’s 😹😹 we have all hard wood floors, with asthma carpets are a big issue. I think your new sewing room and office are going to be great, and Matt being able to turn the garage into his sound room and office give you both space to work without falling over each other. To help with watering the garden get a couple if hideaway water tanks so that you can use the rain water to water all year around. This was the first thing Dad and I did with this house, boy when the droughts hit we still got just enough rain water to keep watering the garden as we wanted when the water restrictions were in place. All you do is add a small placket on the front gate post stating it’s tank-water. It stops the neighbours complaining to council. Congratulations on finally getting your house keys❤️
Surely you can ho the real-estate for hotel costs for the inconvenience caused by the delays. If youd settled when you were originally meant to you wouldn't have ever needed to stay in a hotel
Teach your puppy where the steps to the pool are located. Many pets accidentally drown because they don't know how to get out of a pool, if they accidentally fall in, they swim until exhausted. 😢. 💖🌞🌵😷
Congrats on closing! We moved into our new house 8 days ago and we still don't have hot water (It's complicated). The previous owner left a ton of garbage behind that had to be dealt with. Most of our furniture and stuff is still in storage because the painters can't fit us in until the 17th. And we don't have a washing machine yet and the internet keeps cutting out. Also, the toilet clogged and overflowed really early this morning. So I was at Home Depot at 6am buying a plunger even though I wasn't responsible lol. I finally found our cutlery last night but still don't know where the drinking glasses are. One day it will be home but right now it's a huge hassle.
Oh goodness, sounds like quite an adventure! When so many things are going wrong like that, I always picture life being a sitcom - like they really had to punch up the story line of this episode with a bunch of gags huh? XD Best of luck with getting everything straightened out and settled in!
Wow, that house is huge! It’s probably twice the size of my house, but we had a choice of a big house or a big yard. We picked the yard, for the kids to run around. I still have hopes that we’ll add on to the house some day, maybe a second floor, and I want to add a small elevator so I can get to the basement even when my chronic pain flares up. I hate that my sewing room is inaccessible so often.
That was indeed an extremely stressful process - I'm happy to be able to congratulate you for your new home! And I love seeing you appreciate plenty of the old design elements and not planning to rip everything and replan the whole floorplan etc.
Nice house.. so much potential. ... wouldn't surprise me if there was hardwood that matches under the carpets.. hope there is that would be such a savings.
We had 186 moving boxes when we moved form one house to another. Why? because we boxed as much as we could! No bags, odd bins etc. Boxes. Everywhere and all of them of the same size. That is the best tip I can give to anyone moving. Can it be boxed, box it! Best of luck in the new home!
26:22 totally save as much of that gorgeous wallpaper as you can, being that its neutral in color it goes with everything and you could totally line the interiors of and Exterior-sides of drawers with it would be so gorgeous lol
I just found your videos. Congrats on you new place. I've moved like 20-25 times or more in my life, im 35 and we just moved into our forever home. It the best feeling ever!
I was just thinking that huge living room would be such a great space for you to play fetch with your doggy indoors, and then you did, right at the end! I loved that so much!! I'm so glad to see you've closed on the house and are getting it ready to move in. What a great space for you in Matt!
In Denmark we have boxes for moving that does not need any tape and is really sturdy... Odd to see these boxes, I would worry for the tape to give in when carrying them.
We have the same kind of boxes that you have to tape in France, and it's actually sturdy, especially if you tape the bottom in a cross. The trick is not to fill the boxes to the brim with really heavy stuff, and mix with lighter stuff instead. It's not so much for sturdiness, but more for the fact that it would make them really heavy and a nightmare to lift later 😆
OOHHH with that deck off your master, I would totally be making the vanity area a coffee bar!! How glorious to wake up, make your coffee, and drink it on your deck all without leaving your bedroom. That sounds so relaxing to me!
So excited to see what you make of it! There was a tiktoker that matched different interior design tastes into moodboards and furniture examples that suited both styles so I'm sure there will be a site or something like that too. Hope you guys get to make it feel like home in no time :D
We were in a scary Motel 6 for 28 days. It was a very anxious time. But now we have our little house in the country and we're starting a new chapter. 🎉
Of course you're not sleeping well-- buying a house is one of the most stressful things modern adults do. Then there's the disassembling your orderly nest and that's not fun. Putting it back togther kind of us, but you don't get to do that right away either. So what you're feeling is situationally appropriate-- and you're doing pretty darn well with it. So good for you!
OMG Your new house is giving me hardcore flashbacks! That house is what every Southern California Gen X kid grew up in! Everything! Floors, wallpaper, carpet... all of it! 😄
We moved into the house that we finally know will be the forever home and even though there is lots we want to fix/improve it is so exciting that we will be here long enough to make those changes as we are able to and enjoy it. Glad to see you in a home and excited to make it your own.
Is it just buyers who can get charged a per diem for delaying closing? Because I'd find a way to MAKE SOMEONE PAY!!!! Then again, I'm mostly a badass just in my own mind. Your new place is so great! I have Nook Envy and all-over Kitchen Envy, as my kitchen is very tiny and I love to cook.
Congratulations on your home!!! Also just a random thought. Based on the first bedroom and bathroom that you show us there is a good chance that in this house leaved a person with some mobility problems. That was probably the bedroom and bathroom that they used. It is the closest to living spaces.
So happy for y'all! As someone who studied architectural drafting some of the window and door placments gave me an eye twitch, but knowing how creative you are, it will be amazing! Enjoy!
Oooh... an idea for your living room since it's huge: make half of it entertaining space and half of it into your library. I'd put the entertaining space by the kitchen, since that's where everyone seems to congregate, and the library around the fireplace. If you anchor each space with its own rug, but keep the color families cohesive between the rooms, it will look like two separate spaces. 😊
So glad you finally got the keys!! for the grass you might want to look into clover or moss lawns! they look lovely when in flower, stay green easier than regular grass and are better for pollinators :D really excited to see how you renovate the house!
Wow girl you and Matt have been through so much to get to here but Wow the house is so worth it all. I am so truly happy for both of you. I love the house.
Congratulations!!! It’s a beautiful house, and I will gratefully use any home reno/design videos you make as motivation to work on my own home. May everything go as smoothly as possible with the de-popcorning.
Okay, you are a VERY highly experienced relocate-er. And, I hope you don't have to move again for a LONG time!! But, for everyone else here in the comment, I want to share my moving secret. Buy legal boxes! They are pre-glued. You just fold them into shape; so no worries about the tape at the bottom coming undone due to weight. And, since they are smaller, even a box full of hardback books or glass dishes is not insanely heavy. They have handle spaces for carrying. They stack super neatly for storage or space in a moving truck. They are designed to be written on with a basic marker. They've made my moves so much easier over the years. Now you can buy moving boxes that are larger pre-glued fold-outs. But, they are more expensive than move moving boxes. I do use them for appropriately large items because there is nothing as disappointing as having your stuff dump out in the floor and smash into pieces as you go up a staircase. There is a surprise benefit to this style of fold-out boxes as well. Where I live now, you have to recycle cardboard, and in order to do so, you have to remove ALL the tape first. That is a serious pain with traditional moving boxes.
Very little in life is more stressful than moving house. I am soooo pleased for you! Can't wait to see how you're getting along. Love and hugs from the UK xx
Hooray! Congratulations and I was starting to feel anxious for you in the beginning but - again - hooray; it turned out ok. Wish the both of you all the best and luck in your new home. May it be a happy one
The low bathroom counters may be due to someone being in a wheelchair. I noticed the grab bars near the toilets and most people only put those in if you have mobility issues. It is an amazing house and those hard wood floors are gorgeous. Congratulations on finally getting the keys!
It could explain the hardwood floors in the master as well.
That's a lovely idea!!
Book moving advice from someone who has not moved 19 times, so add salt as needed. Only fill the box halfway with books. Rest of the way with fabric. Saves your back!
That's the way I do it! Books in the bottom, sewing supplies on top!
The room with the fireplace will make an excellent dining room. And a second much smaller living room is / was known as a den. It's where most of the family hung out most of the time.
The living room dining room combo was known as the formal or guesting rooms . It was mainly used for company or large family gatherings like thanksgiving.
I use the linen closet as my dish packing material 😉
OMG your puppers attacking the vacuum cleaner is hysterical. My puppers does the same thing ALL the time.😅
Mine just finds a hiding spot as far away as possible!
Looking at this makes me realise again how different the US and northern Europe are. I don't know anyone who has a house that big. Not even some of the quite wealthy people or people with several children I know have that big of a house. It's completely surreal for me. No judgement intended btw, just astonished. Congratulations on the new house! Wish you all the best for making it your home :)
PS: excellent puppy content :D
I ocmpletely understand what you mean, I'm from western Europe, and I don't think I've ever seen a house here with 3 bathrooms!
It’s a culture of excess in trying to keep up with the jones. It has crept up to Canada too I’m sorry to say. When I look at big houses, all I see is more housework. I’m very happy in my 2 bedroom bungalow.

Beautiful house. Love the fireplace & round pool. FYI on the pool landscaping, we do not have any flowers around our pool because they attract bees.

I know you weren't hugely impressed with all the wood paneling but, oh my, I bet you'll miss all that built in storage!
But what a beautiful family home to grow into.😊 🎉
Hahahahaha yes! I was like hmmmmmm.... now I have to buy shelving or something. Dang it!
If your popcorn ceiling can have asbestos have the pros check all tyle floors because they can have it too! Lesson hubby and learned the hard way 😅
At minute 21:58-22:01 - the sink outside the bathroom reminds me of a hotel.
We recently added a bathroom and put the sink outside of the toilet and bathtub. We love it!
So glad you finally managed to get this place, beyond happy for both of you and wish you the best of luck, it's definitely deserved
At night. Trust me. 😂
I'm moving tomorrow. Have I packed everything? No. Am I procrastinating with this video? Yes, 100% 😂
Good luck with your move!
@@margethordottir thank you 😊
Good luck with the move!
good luck 🤗
You, me, and Charlie!
1:04 omg i love your little library look at all those
Old books!!!! I would be in my heaven
Or even the sewing room 🙄
The big grin on your face says it all. Thank you for sharing.
Wowww, what a beautiful house. You are very lucky that your husband has such great parents, who helped you to buy this house.
Your new home is huge. Well done on finally getting the keys. I agree the wallpapers are cute. When you take them down it might be worth saving a piece. You could do whatever with it. Might be worth checking what's under the carpet if a couple of rooms are wood.
saving some of the old wallpaper is a fun idea! framing it and hanging it up in the rooms where it originally was could be cute.
@@Narfignugan That's what I was thinking. Could also be used to make cute cards etc
And still have my own separate office in sunroom too
Giant beautiful house with a pool?! Noice!
When moving always pack everything you don't use on a daily basis right away.
Enjoy! It looks like a great house with lots of potential. Can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Oo good to know! (And yeah, my back hurts pretty much every day, so.... tis just life at this point!)
Congratulations on a new home!!
That took 3 days😹😹😹
Looking forward to seeing the changes as you get the chance to do them.
Just at the end of the video and the relief on your face is a joy to see. Im so happy for you both!
Suggestion for the sink area outside the master bath…. Coffee bar/morning kitchen. Little fridge would be good for medicines or skin care products.
I want a massive huge table and that fireplace room you have off pool is perfect for parties and big projects with huge table in their
We had 186 moving boxes when we moved form one house to another. Why? because we boxed as much as we could! No bags, odd bins etc. Boxes. Everywhere and all of them of the same size. That is the best tip I can give to anyone moving. Can it be boxed, box it! Best of luck in the new home!
26:22 totally save as much of that gorgeous wallpaper as you can, being that its neutral in color it goes with everything and you could totally line the interiors of and
Exterior-sides of drawers with it would be so gorgeous lol
Congratulations on closing on your new house. take a deep breath for the next couple of weeks and we will see you later.
Oh, that's amazing! I wish, I lived somewhere, where houses like that were even remotely affordable 😅.
Congratulations 👏👏👏
What a fabulous space, I envy you, my whole tiny house would fit into your sitting room!!
Embrace every crazy plan! Its yours and you can do anything that males you happy.
i love your long stories while i sew and crochet ssssssssssseeeeeewwwwww talk on lol
19:13 the amount of natural light in the second living room would make it a great sewing room just saying lol
I absolutely adore the house. It is such a find. I need the same but in Scotland 😂😂😂
Yes renovate a room at a time. Like the living room do it first.
Tip for book people, when moving out your books in suitcases so you can wheel them instead of carrying. 😊
Congratulations on your home!!! Also just a random thought. Based on the first bedroom and bathroom that you show us there is a good chance that in this house leaved a person with some mobility problems. That was probably the bedroom and bathroom that they used. It is the closest to living spaces.
Hang in there! Praying things go smoothly with your pre-move-in renovations and you aren't "homeless" for long!
It's yours! I'm so happy for you! Now you can redecorate, remodel, whatever you want and no one can kick you out! ❤❤❤
Oh my god, the inherited dishes you unpacked/packed look SOOO cool! And the new huge house is amazing ❤
Very nice home tour; I like your background music very much
Congratulations!!! It’s a beautiful house, and I will gratefully use any home reno/design videos you make as motivation to work on my own home.
May everything go as smoothly as possible with the de-popcorning.
Best of luck in your new home. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you that it will all go as smoothly as possible 🙏 xx
Fireplaces in LA confuse me 😂
Hooray! Congratulations and I was starting to feel anxious for you in the beginning but - again - hooray; it turned out ok. Wish the both of you all the best and luck in your new home. May it be a happy one
