this is so weird? like? yes I'm sure desolate volcano dragons will be part of the region, but why would it be the entire region? just as sumaru has desert and forest, mondstadt has plains and frosty peaks. This region will have this, south American style architecture and culture, and this whole area, and in another place within the region there will be volcanos, like I don't get where these complaints are coming from its obvious they will have patch zones with different terrain they have been doing it since the game released its so strange. Maybe there will even be a war front area? war doesn't always happen across an entire area, maybe its secluded to a warzone? and another patch area will be the war front? like this is just a tiny glimpse at a single little area we still have a full expansion of patch zones

Natlan seems to be based on Latin America which is why the environment looks like that and has some really vibrant colors. You can tell from the music too. That’s why it’s not volcanoes and lava everywhere like goron town in Zelda. It’s a more diverse landscape

ok since i m seeing a lot of comments here Natlan has never been implied to be "currently at war", Capitano throwing his hat in the ring of war was simply a metaphor to him finally entering the fray within the "land of war" which is the title of the nation. The last recorded lore about any war in that nation, is through The Talking stick, that talks about Tenoch's accomplishments, 1000 years ago approx. The recently released Bayda harbour npc and the Saurian event NPC both talk very highly about Natlan and how its a booming hot springs hub, colors and graffiti are popular, youngsters wear fashionable trinkets.(i mean if tourists are coming in, so will fashion). it was Mare Jivari that was mentioned as constant land of fire/embers/ash (in three different descriptions), not the entirety of natlan. People live there for god's sake. Even if they are at war, not 100% of the land would be inhabitable. How do you all think tribal people live? natlan is inspired by tribes all over the world, some American tribes, sub -saharan and even from oceania. Tribal communities live in both arid desert conditions AND rainforest environments AND frigid snowlands(though this is unlikely to be seen in natlan ). Nor are all tribes just technologically backwards, a lot of tribes have now integrated into the modern society and use the new technology and do jobs, but prefer to represent and follow their culture all the same. The only real problem here was the lack of melanin(white characters are not a problem, not all tribes are black people or dark skinned) but I don't really care about this ingame, nor do i wish to dive into this.
I distinctly remember Natlan, not the Mare Jivari, being described as a land "ravaged by war, like an undying flame" and Capitano throwing his hat into the "endless" war. If the tournament is the supposed war, and it only happens once a year, it doesn't match these descriptions at all, no?

However, War being constant is there is the same as assuming everyone in Sumeru is wise, inazuma remains unchanged forever, there are no rule breakers in liyue and everyone is free in monsdadt. Its just that war as a word has such a stronf imagery that peopke straight up associate it with brutak war scenarios. What neuvilette described, felt more like the political state of Natlan(perhaps the friction between the tribes?) not geologically burning grounds. Only place mentioned to be ever burning, was Mare Jivari and that too from Lavawalker's artifact set. When Wanderers Troupe went there(500 years ago if i remember right) only embers remained and from Stanley's accoutn currently its just ashes there. Natlan has had history of having conflicts and war..or is still bearing consequences of some past war which is being phrased as ravaged by war. Because the latest NPC dialogs do not potray natlan as a war torn burning nation with murderous tribesmen walking around. However, it must also be noted that Neuvilette is not welcome in natlan, and from what it looks like hasnt been to natlan either..who knows he might be talking from past memories or something. But yes i understand what imagery the word war can bring to mind specially when fire is involved, however it is important to not hold fixed images in our mind, specially without hearing to what thr NPCS who have been therr have to say about it.

The Archon of freedom is the most bound, the archon of contracts ended the contract, the archon of eternity accepted change, the archon of wisdom was surrounded by fools, the archon of justice was the cause of injustice in fontaine for sooo long(like the entire theatre court thing was soo fucked up)...ofcourse the archon of war would preach peace. The land who has seen war, knows the value of peace the most..and they are the ones who will fight for that peace but to also to ensure that another war never comes to their door. I hate that people have a view that war is glorious, war is magnificent, its all about blood and gore...while the first step of war is..NEVER LET A WAR HAPPEN. Protect the peace. I expect the people of Natlan to understand this sentiment the most. They might belong to warrior tribes, and when the time comes they will not hesitate to fight, but until that time comes, they will do everything in their power to ensure that such a time never arrives. I have a feeling this is what Mavuika is going to be about. This is also where the games factor in, as they are a non violent but still competitive way to resolve conflicts.
I'm relieved to know I am not the only one who got shocked how totally different Natlan and their characters looks from what I envisioned. It looks nice but I had the similar expectations as Mtashed (darker Natlan, war, fire, more tribal and ancient themed characters, etc.) and this kinda throws me off. We'll see what we get

First Impression Disappointments; - Fashion garbs are NOT as tribal-theme heavy - Environment is NOT as desolate and chaotic as expected of an area in 'supposedly' constant conflict. - Pyro Archon looks like a biker boss than an Tribal Archon of War (She's still BEAUTIFUL though) Overall, fails to live up to expectations, and doesn't really get me all hyped up like previous regions. But who knows, they might surprise us going forward. Emphasis on the word 'might'. 😐

Graffiti on the mountains is not suprising since it is based on latin America and western Africa. The tribes draws graffiti on walls about animals or their deity. Natlan also has tribes. If you have played Fallout New Vegas,then one it's DLC called honest heart is based on native American tribes who also drew graffiti on mountains. It is a nice details.

I think the colors are beautiful, but at the same time, I thought they would go with darker colors. Capturing the essence of dark red magma on Volcanoes and dark black charcoal around the area.
Here’s the thing… a lot of people set their expectation for Natlan to be like native american people living before pre colonial america…. But in actuality the nation of war is pretty modern. The nation of war in our world now is literally USA and its not something you think about skulls and bones but modern missiles.

Hasn't anyone noticed the connection to actual places in the world? Mondstat is based on Europe or America. Liyue us based on China. Inazuma is literally Japan. Sumeru is influenced by India and the Middle East/Egypt. Fontaine is France..... Natlan legit gives me Austalia vibes. Did you not see the connection between the Sydney Opera house and the new geo character kinda looking like a Kangaroo? Genshin gets their inspiration from REAL world places and then makes them fantastical
natlan is based off of: precolonial mesoamerica, the pacific ring of fire, and modern south america. the girl with ears is based after chinchillas, which are native to south america. the music is inspired by all of these regions, as well! I love the vibrant colors and aesthetics (the graffiti is really pretty) they've teased in the trailers so far. as for the dinosaurs/dragons/pokemon? super cute, but I kinda wanna see how they're integrated into the area in a way that feels cohesive and natural. guess we'll find out in a few weeks
It's so funny that so many people are thinking the ball has something to do with Pokemon or is even significant. For me it just seems like a traditional way people would be chosen/invited to things. If you get hit, you're competing. Also you have to "choose" someone too (throw the ball).
6:55 nope, never stated that capitano was fighting here. Varka's letter stated, "Capitano has thrown his hat in the flames of war"..but we are not hearing any active war info in natlan. So either the tribes have friction among them, or there is something big broiling under the cover, but the line above could very well mean "capitano has involved himself with whatever the heck is going on in the land of war..which is the title of natlan..just like how liyue is called land of contracts and inazuma the land of eternity"...it never said directly that Natlan was at war and capitano is leading troops and popping skulls like candies..even though it seems to be the first thing that comes to mind. Its one of those "don't believe unless explicitly stated" things.

I'm so on the fence. Like you I was really expecting Natlan to be this prehistoric wasteland where it's like a war zone (but not in a happy pokemon battle kind of way) I wanted darker themes, fire, bones... sure there would be areas that are well looked after and more lush and green but this whole region looks so close to Sumeru. I'll definitely still play it because I'm curious, but man... I'm a little underwhelmed at our first look at the region of Pyro. We've only got snezhnaya left after this and I was really hoping these last two places would be drastically different to the others.

Honestly prior to quitting I was hyped to try Fontaine way back from inazuma but natlan didn't interest me until they said how desolate and constant fighting would be there I'm not sure what changed the direction to not make it so kiddy but whatever it's gonna get old and boring fast ima just watch a story video on it and never care about the world's again
I literally watched the Fontaine Overture trailer (one that's comparible to this one) from the characters to the story arc it was WAY way better than this one. I had to rewatch it because this Natlan trailer underwhelmed me SO much. Turns out, I don't think I'm delusional. I pulled 9 of the characters from the Fontaine arc entirely, this one i'm thinking MAYBE 3 of them I'll pull.
The chapter teaser from 2020 already talked about something ressembling a tournament, where the winner burn bright and the loser must turns to ash. Its obvious its not a tournament where you just win and lose for the sake of it there's a lot more at sake here, she literally asked capitano if he's "brave enough to compete" he's the strongest human on teyvat, and she still asked him as if he wouldn't win that easily.

This reminds me of that world quests in WuWa where the various exiles from various territories do battles with their echoes to determine who will lead them all. It's basically a retelling of the Christian Messiah involving ideas of original sin and self-sacrifice. Moreso with Liyue's Achon Quest. I wasn't able to predict Sumeru's archon quest though. As well as Inazuma. Also, it's not as if this ideas came from me, genshin is literally fore-shadowing it.
Genshin has been retconning stuff to make it more family friendly. Natlan was long ago described as a place that was always ravaged by war no matter where you looked. They also changed Childe describing Arlecchino as "someone scary that you shouldn't mess with" into "she's actually really nice"

So yea, recent Natlan has always been described as a place where civilization thrives..not a murder territory. Not to mention, i feel we have a very skewed perspective of how tribes live in modern day and age. Not all tribes are poor, technologically backward communities that survive by hunting gathering. A lot of tribal civilizations now have integrated with modern society . They just maintain their culture along with it. So some modern influence in it is totally acceptable, considering that tourist come in from outside for hot springs, so ofcourse they are bringing outside culture and fashion. Regarding arlecchino, she was a threat for at least the first half of archon quest. and she still is. her priority were and are her children and the House of the hearth. She will double cross us and kill her if she finds out that our activities will indirectly affect them. Not to mention, during her story quest, she specifically says that she never clarifies her actions to anyone. If people wish to talk bad about her, let it be. She prefers to keep people wrapped in the rumours of her ill reputation, makes intimidating easier. We as traveler find her love for the house endearing, but even still she is a threat. To anyone outside, with whom she would never share even this much, she would indeed appear as a double crossing bitch with no sane bone in her body.
Many people mistakenly think that the Natlan region is full of war, even though all the NPCs who mention Natlan, they say that Natlan is a beautiful vacation spot :v LOL, and the war in question is a tournament between tribes/clans to be the winner and get everything.

The "Pokemon fight" thing is not true thease "pokemons" are Just companions helping you travel through Natlan and Fight In some of the fights and wars but the main theme will be the tournament, gladiator-like fighting to the death and there will be dinosaurs and volcanos ,but in later patches, this is only the surface of Natlan. It's all gonna start with sunshine and rainbows and gradually get swallowed into darkness and mystery.

Natlan having a pokemon theme also disappointed. I think Dehya's design is more fitting for the God of War. Yah, I also expected the nation to be hard as fk surround by volcanoes. The details in the archon design is artistic, but it's too fashionable.

The fact Genshin dev team didn't emphasize everything that had been based on concepts gathered, you all could see how disappointing majority of characters' representations were from the beginning. Not pretty sure if Genshin devs are now slacking under their basements or just to give up already. More than Pokémon, the outfits, the mounts and Mavuika's words for me implies that the tournament is going to be a race like Steel Ball Run. Maybe that would explain why Capitano needs a local (Ororon) to retrieve the Gnosis: mounts are going to be a main mechanic in Natlan and I can see every character having some kind of traveling mechanic (Kachina = Drill, Mualani = Shark, Kinich = Grappling Hook). Capitano as an outsider needs someone that can move smoothly in Natlan.

I feel like its a wasted chance to have Natlan be the war torn wasteland it was made out to seem especially in the comics. You could have had diffrent tribes all competing for the pyro gnosis with one of those groups being lead by Capitano and maybe even another group lead by Valka since he was by Natlan with Capitano.
I was expecting more desert but they took that for Sumeru. I believe Natlan is based on South America and also the Pacific Islands on the ring of fire. I'm here for it just for the music alone.
I feel like the ball is probably going to be the mechanic used to summon, those like dragons, or whatever creature, thet showed in a previous teaser, which seem to be used for mobility they might have like Guild Wars 2 mount, some engage skill, that jump on enemies and does an attack, but dismounts you at the same time.

Idk, I feel something weird here. On mondstadt, the culture was so much well represented. Same thing on Liyue, Inazuma and Fontaine. But on sumeru and Natlan, seems like they just created something totally different from what the cultures they took references from looks like. Archon really feels like she came from Fontaine/mondstadt in the past and decided to stay in natlan 😂
Fire is my fav and was excited for Natlan for years. Thought it'd be Africa, but looks like South America, which is cool too. I just want to see culture reflected and respected like the other nations. They may add very different looking places over time like how they did in Inazuma. We'll see.

I get what he means about orange inazuma, but Inazuma is quite low level and in contrast Natland could have been high volcanic areas, eruptions and bellowing smoke etc.
I'm pretty sure there'll be a volcano patch, where you'll have Burn status effect (like Chasm & Dragonspine) It might be far from the human inhabited areas.

The Story will most likely be a tribal tournament thing and the loser gets exiled? (Spoilers for genshin manga) But Vannessa and her tribal group tells venti they have been exiled and they say they follow the one named "Murata" not even knowing the meaning behind the name so most likely the loser of said tribal tournament gets exiled from their home / natlan and begin to wander also the fire / lava we see with mauvika( when she flys to capitano as a phoenix) and in the lava theres these hints of blue in it so maybe its something like divine fire / lava? and maybe its what the tribal people are competing for as Mauvika herself states " The Winner Takes All"
Oh yeah and it was hinted during the fontaine archon quest what natlan is kinda like as when u go to the fortress of meropide and speak with the receptionist lady there she says that she wishes she could go to natlan as its a great vacation spot with its hotsprings

Fontaine was incredible and I will die on this hill Natlan...... idk, the modern futuristic stuff was way out of left field, guess we'll see. Turning into various monsters seems super cool tho???? like if we could collect them and become different forms eg one for cliff scaling one for flying I would rly love a region focused on aerial flying (liyue is too much climbing to count lol). I feel like the summer events are usually Genshin testing new exploration mechanics, so it seems we probably will be getting more scattered landforms?
i am just going to say one thing, everyone i know was hoping for fontaine to have a straight bioshock steampunk type city, we didn't get that, the only thing we got AT MOST was the prision, and nothing after that, i am willing to give genshin another chance, but if we don't get a strict vulcano type region or don't get a strict "indiana jones" type region, im out again.

this is so weird? like? yes I'm sure desolate volcano dragons will be part of the region, but why would it be the entire region? just as sumaru has desert and forest, mondstadt has plains and frosty peaks. This region will have this, south American style architecture and culture, and this whole area, and in another place within the region there will be volcanos, like I don't get where these complaints are coming from its obvious they will have patch zones with different terrain they have been doing it since the game released its so strange. Maybe there will even be a war front area? war doesn't always happen across an entire area, maybe its secluded to a warzone? and another patch area will be the war front? like this is just a tiny glimpse at a single little area we still have a full expansion of patch zones

Natlan seems to be based on Latin America which is why the environment looks like that and has some really vibrant colors. You can tell from the music too. That’s why it’s not volcanoes and lava everywhere like goron town in Zelda. It’s a more diverse landscape

Natlan has never been implied to be "currently at war", Capitano throwing his hat in the ring of war was simply a metaphor to him finally entering the fray within the "land of war" which is the title of the nation.
The last recorded lore about any war in that nation, is through The Talking stick, that talks about Tenoch's accomplishments, 1000 years ago approx.
The recently released Bayda harbour npc and the Saurian event NPC both talk very highly about Natlan and how its a booming hot springs hub, colors and graffiti are popular, youngsters wear fashionable trinkets.(i mean if tourists are coming in, so will fashion).
it was Mare Jivari that was mentioned as constant land of fire/embers/ash (in three different descriptions), not the entirety of natlan. People live there for god's sake. Even if they are at war, not 100% of the land would be inhabitable.
How do you all think tribal people live? natlan is inspired by tribes all over the world, some American tribes, sub -saharan and even from oceania. Tribal communities live in both arid desert conditions AND rainforest environments AND frigid snowlands(though this is unlikely to be seen in natlan ). Nor are all tribes just technologically backwards, a lot of tribes have now integrated into the modern society and use the new technology and do jobs, but prefer to represent and follow their culture all the same.
The only real problem here was the lack of melanin(white characters are not a problem, not all tribes are black people or dark skinned) but I don't really care about this ingame, nor do i wish to dive into this.
I distinctly remember Natlan, not the Mare Jivari, being described as a land "ravaged by war, like an undying flame" and Capitano throwing his hat into the "endless" war. If the tournament is the supposed war, and it only happens once a year, it doesn't match these descriptions at all, no?

Its just that war as a word has such a stronf imagery that peopke straight up associate it with brutak war scenarios. What neuvilette described, felt more like the political state of Natlan(perhaps the friction between the tribes?) not geologically burning grounds. Only place mentioned to be ever burning, was Mare Jivari and that too from Lavawalker's artifact set. When Wanderers Troupe went there(500 years ago if i remember right) only embers remained and from Stanley's accoutn currently its just ashes there.
Natlan has had history of having conflicts and war..or is still bearing consequences of some past war which is being phrased as ravaged by war. Because the latest NPC dialogs do not potray natlan as a war torn burning nation with murderous tribesmen walking around.
However, it must also be noted that Neuvilette is not welcome in natlan, and from what it looks like hasnt been to natlan either..who knows he might be talking from past memories or something.
But yes i understand what imagery the word war can bring to mind specially when fire is involved, however it is important to not hold fixed images in our mind, specially without hearing to what thr NPCS who have been therr have to say about it.

@@jagrutinagarkar precisely. I am not against people having expectations of a warrior tribe-esque theme. But i don't like that people have such skewed perceptions of war. The Archon of freedom is the most bound, the archon of contracts ended the contract, the archon of eternity accepted change, the archon of wisdom was surrounded by fools, the archon of justice was the cause of injustice in fontaine for sooo long(like the entire theatre court thing was soo fucked up)...ofcourse the archon of war would preach peace. The land who has seen war, knows the value of peace the most..and they are the ones who will fight for that peace but to also to ensure that another war never comes to their door.
I hate that people have a view that war is glorious, war is magnificent, its all about blood and gore...while the first step of war is..NEVER LET A WAR HAPPEN. Protect the peace. I expect the people of Natlan to understand this sentiment the most. They might belong to warrior tribes, and when the time comes they will not hesitate to fight, but until that time comes, they will do everything in their power to ensure that such a time never arrives. I have a feeling this is what Mavuika is going to be about. This is also where the games factor in, as they are a non violent but still competitive way to resolve conflicts.

I'm relieved to know I am not the only one who got shocked how totally different Natlan and their characters looks from what I envisioned. It looks nice but I had the similar expectations as Mtashed (darker Natlan, war, fire, more tribal and ancient themed characters, etc.) and this kinda throws me off. We'll see what we get

First Impression Disappointments;
- Fashion garbs are NOT as tribal-theme heavy
- Environment is NOT as desolate and chaotic as expected of an area in 'supposedly' constant conflict.
- Pyro Archon looks like a biker boss than an Tribal Archon of War (She's still BEAUTIFUL though)
Overall, fails to live up to expectations, and doesn't really get me all hyped up like previous regions. But who knows, they might surprise us going forward. Emphasis on the word 'might'. 😐

Graffiti on the mountains is not suprising since it is based on latin America and western Africa. The tribes draws graffiti on walls about animals or their deity. Natlan also has tribes.
If you have played Fallout New Vegas,then one it's DLC called honest heart is based on native American tribes who also drew graffiti on mountains. It is a nice details.

Hasn't anyone noticed the connection to actual places in the world? Mondstat is based on Europe or America. Liyue us based on China. Inazuma is literally Japan. Sumeru is influenced by India and the Middle East/Egypt. Fontaine is France..... Natlan legit gives me Austalia vibes. Did you not see the connection between the Sydney Opera house and the new geo character kinda looking like a Kangaroo? Genshin gets their inspiration from REAL world places and then makes them fantastical
natlan is based off of: precolonial mesoamerica, the pacific ring of fire, and modern south america. the girl with ears is based after chinchillas, which are native to south america. the music is inspired by all of these regions, as well! I love the vibrant colors and aesthetics (the graffiti is really pretty) they've teased in the trailers so far. as for the dinosaurs/dragons/pokemon? super cute, but I kinda wanna see how they're integrated into the area in a way that feels cohesive and natural. guess we'll find out in a few weeks

So either the tribes have friction among them, or there is something big broiling under the cover, but the line above could very well mean "capitano has involved himself with whatever the heck is going on in the land of war..which is the title of natlan..just like how liyue is called land of contracts and inazuma the land of eternity"...it never said directly that Natlan was at war and capitano is leading troops and popping skulls like candies..even though it seems to be the first thing that comes to mind. Like you I was really expecting Natlan to be this prehistoric wasteland where it's like a war zone (but not in a happy pokemon battle kind of way) I wanted darker themes, fire, bones... sure there would be areas that are well looked after and more lush and green but this whole region looks so close to Sumeru. I'll definitely still play it because I'm curious, but man... I'm a little underwhelmed at our first look at the region of Pyro. We've only got snezhnaya left after this and I was really hoping these last two places would be drastically different to the others.

I literally watched the Fontaine Overture trailer (one that's comparible to this one) from the characters to the story arc it was WAY way better than this one. I had to rewatch it because this Natlan trailer underwhelmed me SO much. Turns out, I don't think I'm delusional. I pulled 9 of the characters from the Fontaine arc entirely, this one i'm thinking MAYBE 3 of them I'll pull.
The chapter teaser from 2020 already talked about something ressembling a tournament, where the winner burn bright and the loser must turns to ash. Its obvious its not a tournament where you just win and lose for the sake of it there's a lot more at sake here, she literally asked capitano if he's "brave enough to compete" he's the strongest human on teyvat, and she still asked him as if he wouldn't win that easily.
Tashed had the Pokémon idea and then treated it as canon for the rest of the reaction 😅

It's basically a retelling of the Christian Messiah involving ideas of original sin and self-sacrifice. Moreso with Liyue's Achon Quest. I wasn't able to predict Sumeru's archon quest though. As well as Inazuma. Also, it's not as if this ideas came from me, genshin is literally fore-shadowing it.

Genshin has been retconning stuff to make it more family friendly. Natlan was long ago described as a place that was always ravaged by war no matter where you looked. They also changed Childe describing Arlecchino as "someone scary that you shouldn't mess with" into "she's actually really nice"

To make it even more relevant, the npc at bayda harbor, cherishes his time as a young sailor when he used to sail to natlan. He describes the people there as being joyous and love colors and grafitti. Kids love showoff trinkets and fashion.
Then in another event, a guy has just returned from Natlan and he also talks very highly about Natlan, and how it is very famous hub for hot springs due to their natural volcanic zones.
So yea, recent Natlan has always been described as a place where civilization thrives..not a murder territory. Not to mention, i feel we have a very skewed perspective of how tribes live in modern day and age. Not all tribes are poor, technologically backward communities that survive by hunting gathering. A lot of tribal civilizations now have integrated with modern society . They just maintain their culture along with it. So some modern influence in it is totally acceptable, considering that tourist come in from outside for hot springs, so ofcourse they are bringing outside culture and fashion.
Regarding arlecchino, she was a threat for at least the first half of archon quest. and she still is. her priority were and are her children and the House of the hearth. She will double cross us and kill her if she finds out that our activities will indirectly affect them. Not to mention, during her story quest, she specifically says that she never clarifies her actions to anyone. If people wish to talk bad about her, let it be. She prefers to keep people wrapped in the rumours of her ill reputation, makes intimidating easier. We as traveler find her love for the house endearing, but even still she is a threat. To anyone outside, with whom she would never share even this much, she would indeed appear as a double crossing bitch with no sane bone in her body.

The "Pokemon fight" thing is not true thease "pokemons" are Just companions helping you travel through Natlan and Fight In some of the fights and wars but the main theme will be the tournament, gladiator-like fighting to the death and there will be dinosaurs and volcanos ,but in later patches, this is only the surface of Natlan. It's all gonna start with sunshine and rainbows and gradually get swallowed into darkness and mystery.

The fact Genshin dev team didn't emphasize everything that had been based on concepts gathered, you all could see how disappointing majority of characters' representations were from the beginning. Not pretty sure if Genshin devs are now slacking under their basements or just to give up already. More than Pokémon, the outfits, the mounts and Mavuika's words for me implies that the tournament is going to be a race like Steel Ball Run. Maybe that would explain why Capitano needs a local (Ororon) to retrieve the Gnosis: mounts are going to be a main mechanic in Natlan and I can see every character having some kind of traveling mechanic (Kachina = Drill, Mualani = Shark, Kinich = Grappling Hook). Capitano as an outsider needs someone that can move smoothly in Natlan.
Pyro Archon is so out of place, and some of the other character legit just look like VTuber characters

I'd really love to see hoyo update the older character models to match the newer ones more, adding more depth to them, cleaning up some of the lines, _fixing diluc's eye placement and size to make him look a lil less like a bug_
Natlan looks like a new extension to Sumeru. It doesn't feel unique like how Inazuma or Fontaine was.

I feel like its a wasted chance to have Natlan be the war torn wasteland it was made out to seem especially in the comics. You could have had diffrent tribes all competing for the pyro gnosis with one of those groups being lead by Capitano and maybe even another group lead by Valka since he was by Natlan with Capitano.

I feel like the ball is probably going to be the mechanic used to summon, those like dragons, or whatever creature, thet showed in a previous teaser, which seem to be used for mobility they might have like Guild Wars 2 mount, some engage skill, that jump on enemies and does an attack, but dismounts you at the same time.

According to lore genral varkas is supposed to be in natlan aswell and hes on par in terms of raw strength with capitano in his illusion form according to what mika said when we first met him
Idk, I feel something weird here. On mondstadt, the culture was so much well represented. Same thing on Liyue, Inazuma and Fontaine. But on sumeru and Natlan, seems like they just created something totally different from what the cultures they took references from looks like. Archon really feels like she came from Fontaine/mondstadt in the past and decided to stay in natlan 😂

Fire is my fav and was excited for Natlan for years. Thought it'd be Africa, but looks like South America, which is cool too. I just want to see culture reflected and respected like the other nations. They may add very different looking places over time like how they did in Inazuma. We'll see.

I get what he means about orange inazuma, but Inazuma is quite low level and in contrast Natland could have been high volcanic areas, eruptions and bellowing smoke etc.

The Story will most likely be a tribal tournament thing and the loser gets exiled? (Spoilers for genshin manga) But Vannessa and her tribal group tells venti they have been exiled and they say they follow the one named "Murata" not even knowing the meaning behind the name so most likely the loser of said tribal tournament gets exiled from their home / natlan and begin to wander also the fire / lava we see with mauvika( when she flys to capitano as a phoenix) and in the lava theres these hints of blue in it so maybe its something like divine fire / lava? and maybe its what the tribal people are competing for as Mauvika herself states " The Winner Takes All"
Oh yeah and it was hinted during the fontaine archon quest what natlan is kinda like as when u go to the fortress of meropide and speak with the receptionist lady there she says that she wishes she could go to natlan as its a great vacation spot with its hotsprings

i am just going to say one thing, everyone i know was hoping for fontaine to have a straight bioshock steampunk type city, we didn't get that, the only thing we got AT MOST was the prision, and nothing after that, i am willing to give genshin another chance, but if we don't get a strict vulcano type region or don't get a strict "indiana jones" type region, im out again.
