NOTE: If you can’t find these brands or are in a different country the components you want are an untinted base house paint (base c or d, base 3 or 4 whichever is lowest, deep base or ultra deep base or neutral base) plus a water based polyurethane gloss varnish to make up your Pouring Medium. If you want to try a more traditional pouring medium base because you can’t get certain components, TOTALLY go for it and give it a try 😃 it’s YOUR Art after all! 💜

Aww thank you so much Scott, I really appreciate that! 🤗 Some of the untinted bases I use are clearer so the colors look more vivid, this video was one of them as I was using the Behr 8300. Another one I like to use that I just discovered recently is the Valspar high gloss with the regular Varathane varnish, the colors are just as vivid. 🤗

Hi Jody, yes your video was long but certainly kept me glued, I enjoyed every minute of it. So, so helpful, thanks so much. Would love to see them resined.
Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed it Sybil! I had a lot to say and wanted to get all my points across. I’ll make a note when these are finished to bring them back in another where are they now segment 😃💜💜
Everything you do is fantastic, wonderful, stunning! I just hope I can come close to “good” on Saturday……I’ll be doing paint pouring at a downtown craft place. Loved the red, black , gold, swipe was awesome.
Jodi, I have been watching your videos for a couple of months. I need to go ahead and try this method for these blow outs. Might not have the right lingo but I have learned alot from you watching your videos. Want to thank you for testing all these different paints. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again, PA Pat.
Oh you’re so welcome Pat, have so much fun giving this technique a go .. just remember have fun .. I’ll keep saying it because it can be challenging at first but so worth it 😃😃😃
You’re so welcome, Kitty, thank YOU! Totally give those colors a go! If someone told me I could only use three colors and that’s it forever, it would be these three 🥰🥰
Great work on your tests, Jody. Thanks for doing this for us. I still have a gal of the old HGTV, but I’ll need something new at some point in time! You are right, those colors go great together!
Thanks so much Rebecca! You know I never did use that old HGTV but when I bought the infinity they had a couple quarts left on clearance so i bought one so I could at least try it but now I’m afraid I’ll really like it haha!
@@ThePaintedDreamer Yes, you might like it, but you've perfected your technique with your products, so I don't think you will see much of a difference. You should auction it off. You might be able to make a mint!! I just watched an presentation on Shelee's Facebook page by Debra Dunn. She said the Infiniti is so much thinner that she uses the triple thick instead of the Jo Sonja. Is that your experience? I'm sure you've said, but I've watched too many videos and my brain is in a puddle!
HEY! Jody! ... I just found your channel a few days ago! WHERE? have you been! LOL! 🤣 ... I have been "binge watching" you ever since! THANK YOU SO MUCH! for all of your testing and SHARING! your results with all of us "out here"! I am SO HAPPY about your video I watched yesterday using Amsterdam SS in Titanium White and Oxide Black using American Floetrol with higher ratios! I was blown away! ... IDK if anyone has commented about your "starry effect" in this video ... and I'm definitely no "pro" by any means! ... but I also watch Karen @ Waterfall Acrylics and when she has this happen ... she says it's because someone had already had that particular can SHAKEN UP and then it was placed back on the shelf! I'm pretty sure it's the pillow paint that causes this? (Because they don't shake the deep base before adding whatever color you're buying!) ... If I can find a video where this happened to her ... I will "try" to send it your way !!! Again, thanks so much for all your testing! and SHARING !!! 🤩🤩🤩 ...
Hi Kay! I’ve been right here where’ve you been 😉💜 haha! Just kidding, I’m so glad you found me 🤗. Yea this starry can was just a bad can, it actually wasn’t the pillow because I used the same pillow on another test with a different can of that base and no starry effect whatsoever. You’re right though having bubbles like that can be from them shaking it and putting it on the shelf. I did have that happen to a pillow paint once I had to let it sit for a few weeks before I could attempt to use it but had to get another can lol the nerve of them haha! It happens though 🤗
Wow Jodie, great video. They're absolutely gorgeous, I love the colours, they're just amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your time, talent, and your creativity with us. Looking forward to your next video, kind regards Pamela 🙂💜
Very informative, I enjoy watching you test products and the cool thing is there is a Lowes, Home Depot and a Menards all in the same town that is close to me. The colors are stunning as always. Happy painting :)
I can’t get Behr 8300 here. Your cells are gorgeous. WOW!! That second one is AMAZING!!! I’m very new but I have been using infinity and not seen the star thingies. Again, thank you so much for these experiments! 🥰
Hi Nan! 😃👋🏻 You don’t need the 8300 if you have the infinity you are good to go, I love that stuff and I’m glad to hear you haven’t gotten the starry effect! I only had it in that quart can, so weird, the other gallons I have are just fine. 😃🤗💜🥰
You’re so welcome, I’m glad they help 🤗. I just heard they are reformulating the Infinity so if you aren’t finding it at your Lowes it’s only temporary.
I just bought a quart (Eeek!) As it was pricey $! I didn't have time to even open it today. Hoping it is like your gallon. Love your "mad-scientist" experiments!! Keep rockin' it!
Yea this is a pricier base but if you end up liking it, it’s cheaper to get the gallon and worth it! Others who have gotten the quart size have had no trouble so I think it may have been just a fluke. I currently have it sitting on a shelf for a few months and I’ll bring it out again to see if anything changed with it.
Beautiful..lol I was trying to get off another channel and all of a sudden I see your Bloom I am like no way that's Jodie "s ..yep I my phone knows where to go ♥️They are beautiful..I am getting those the day are warm but nights really cold still..I even got not a crack but a line sorta weird..Then soon it will be really hot.😊
Thanks Jeff! I feel like it has to be environmental because I’ve used the poly before with absolutely no issues. I feel like it’s a mix between the cold and also the lack of humidity. 62 is a bit cold, when mine gets to about 68 I bring a space heater in which doesn’t help the humidity ha! But luckily winter is only a few months.
Hi i asked my question on another video i hope you find it. Thanks so much for the information and experience you are passing down to us. This is also relaxing to watch. In between all my work..I hope the Valspar doesnt have a D...LOL
@@ThePaintedDreamer you will laugh... I went and got the Behr 3300, however I can easily get the other poly cuz its alot less money and sold everywhere. I will go on Sale day to get that Valspar. Its gotta be awesome for 80$! I LITERALLY watched all your process testing videos. So much to learn and you REALLY demystify the whole thing oh i saved $ on the smaller sized can. But i had enough to buy some pillow paint!! So its all good!! Cheers again for all the help.
@@bramstayer oooh the Behr 3300 works well too, I’ve tested it just a little but liked what I saw but my can was thick, not as thick as the 8300 but I would still use a thinner varnish with it. You don’t need the Valspar if you have the 3300 you’re good then! Have fun 🤗
@@ThePaintedDreamer thanks so much! Watching your video today on the hexagon cool! With Australia floetrol...(the possibilities are endless with these effects.).I'm gonna end up buying it too...hahahah..i don't want to fail.. LOL your time is valuable so thanks for helping.
@@bramstayer It's definitely worth it and it does last you awhile so when you're able I recommend it. The US floetrol can work nicely too but so far I'm finding it only works the best with Amsterdam paint so keep that in mind as you are gathering your supplies :)
Your fantastic work blows my mind. I am new to this art and what to learn, but I don’t know what are similar here in the Uk to use I feel stuck at my beginnings
This color combination is stunning. Thanks for sharing your experiments. I don’t know if this would help with the quart infinity pillow but what if you torched it for a few seconds in case there were tiny hidden bubbles. I saw someone do this. Not long enough to create a skin. This is a pure guess. I just bought the vivid enamel and the primary elements but haven’t tried them yet.
You’re very welcome Barbara! Thank YOU!! Yea unfortunately you don’t want to torch any of these products even just a little bit, the pillow might be ok for a few seconds but you run the risk of scorching it. For the PM base with the varnish you absolutely don’t want to torch it because not only is it a fire hazard with the varnish in it but it also releases toxins into the air. I’m curious about the vivid enamel, let me know how you like it! 😃💜
Jodie what was the problem of the intergalactic effect? I don’t know if somebody else try it.... I bought today the infinity I’m going to test it with the minwax polycrylic same CA, same pillow, I’ll let you know my results....jo Sonja is not easy to find in southern calif.....
It was like there were way too many bubbles that popped and left white spots behind. Not a good look with your art for all pieces .. some if that’s what you are going for but not all. ☺️ .. the polycrylic works fantastic with it! It was drying weird for me in the winter so I didn’t use it too much but it will totally work! Let me know how you ended up liking it! 🤗💜
Thank you so much Donna! It’s all about the consistency too, if these paints were thinner they’d probably mud up more. The thicker the better with colors that tend to not play nice together 😬💜
Hey Jodie thanks so much for doing these videos; I've really enjoyed them! I tried the Infinity too (guess I was lucky to get a good quart!) after Shelee mentioned it as a good option. I mix with polycrylic and was using micas and after making my paint thought, ohhhh no this is way too thin, there is no way this is going to work! But it turned out gorgeous! And it dried beautifully. I used a black pillow paint since I was using chameleons and black cell activator and the colors just pop! So, so beautiful. I tried mixing some of the Behr in with another test (1 part polycrylic, 1 part Behr, 1 part Infinity and then fix the consistency by adding one of the paints to get what I want) and while it wasn't as pretty (I was just using regular paints and micas and the white cell activator, which was getting kind of old) it certainly worked at least. Guess I'll bite the bullet and test with my chameleons to get a true comparison. I need to find my set of 'regular paints' that I know work well, like you've done here, to really get a good comparison I guess. Thanks again!!
Hi Vicki! You’re very welcome, I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed them! And I’m glad you got a good can of the Infinity! I think it’s like with anything else, every once in a great while a bad something sneaks in ☺️ .. you are one step ahead of me haha! I was going to test the Behr/infinity mixed together like I mix the Behr/Glidden I just haven’t been able to yet but I did test them mixed up separately but used in the same painting and they definitely work well together! Currently editing that video and should be up tomorrow 😃💜
@@ThePaintedDreamer Oh I figured you'd be all on top of that combination at some point! I just came to your channel because I saw you'd posted the video on one of the facebook pages and that will be my next watch.
Thank you Jodie!!! I’m still using the Glidden/Behr/Josonja PM. Would you now recommend Infinity/Josanja over what I’m using? Again your testing is priceless and your videos are so helpful!
You are absolutely welcome Melody! Honestly I love them all!! This Infinity is amazing though as long as you don’t get a weird can. But, I do know with the Glidden having some titanium white in it, if that’s a bother for you maybe give the infinity a go but if it doesn’t bother you keep with it, it’s a great PM (Behr/Glidden/jo sonja) ... Me personally though I like using one PM for one thing and another for another depending on the effect I’m after but if you want one PM only .. I think this Infinity may be a good one for all paints (tube, fluid and pigments). Some use the Behr for everything but it was way too thick for me with the tube paints which is why I mixed with the Glidden 😊
Eeek! Have you used a lot of it? Can you take it back and exchange it? I put my quart on a shelf to revisit in a few months. Sometimes sitting for a long period of time helps. I had this happen with a gallon of pillow paint once. It was super bubbly and I didn’t have them mix it. I had to get another one but put that one on the shelf for quite some time and when I went back to it, it worked perfectly.
@10:00 she said glad the teal, purple n orange r her favorite color combination, I like the teal, purple n that one pink but I don't know the name lol but that's one of my favorite color combinations n I like the color combination that u like Jody! By the way my mother's name, my Aunt's name n my Grandmom's best friend's name is Jody!
I love it, and thank you for and what about the CA? All of your painting are wonderful. Amazing on the whole thing. Please let me know about your CA mix.
Thanks so much Laurie! The CA I use will be listed along with the other paints I use at the beginning of each video as well as in the description box below the videos. Typically when I’m using the Australian floetrol I’ll mix it 4:1 with paint. If I’m using the US floetrol I have a couple recipes, one with the Minwax Prestain conditioner (video #16) and then one with just US floetrol and Amsterdam paint at a high ratio (video #91) of either 9 or 10:1. Each video will tell you what I’m using for that particular piece 🤗💜
Thank you Lois! The infinity base by itself dries more semi gloss than gloss but then it also depends on the paints you are using too. The Behr base dries real glossy regardless. I usually varnish or resin my pieces so that will make it glossy regardless ☺️
Hi Donna! Thanks so much! For the tube paints I just put about an ounce of the mixed up PM (3:1, Infinity:JS) with a little blob (between pea and blueberry size) and mixed it in well. If it’s thick or you add too much paint just add in a little more PM 😊
Merci pour ta réponse pour le médium, par contre je me pose une question l activateur de cellules c'est bien une part de peinture pour quatre part de Floetrol ? J ai un gros doute merci d avance pour ta réponse tes cellules et fleurs me font rêver . A bientot Nathalie
It does take a bit of practice 🤗 You can totally just tilt your canvas you don’t have to spin it. I started spinning because I wasn’t very good at tilting 😂 .. I kind of combine both now sometimes especially with swipes 💜
Thanks so much Margaret 🤗. The thicker infinity in the quart can is the same as in the gallon can, it’s the untinted base paint and not a varnish to use to finish your pieces. If you’re looking for a varnish to finish your pieces with I use and recommend the Liquitex Professional line, they have a high gloss, gloss and satin and also they have brush on or spray on. I use the brush on but have my own method of applying. Hope this helps! 🤗💜
Thank you Lois! I use Liquitex Gloss varnish mixed with water 50/50. As a side note any video where I include the dried results at the end hasn’t been varnished yet, whatever gloss is on there is how it dried from the pouring medium & paints ☺️💜
Hi Uri, I’m sorry to hear that but I will say this can be a challenging technique and there is a learning curve so with time and practice you can achieve what you want to. It took me a good 6 months to start seeing what I wanted to see so just have fun with it as you get to know your paints more 🤗. I don’t add anything to my pillow I use it straight from the can 💜
So, I’m curious about something. I’ve taken the course and have had great success. That said, I’m noticing something weird. I’ve used Valspar Ultra High Gloss Base C and I’ve just returned from Lowe’s with the HGTV Infinity Semi Gloss Base C. Both of them have produced very muted colors. I had to add some Primary Elements Boysenberry to the Diaz Purple to get that deep color to return….same with the Prizm Pour Honey Gold, I added Pearl Ex Brilliant Gold and it’s still a bit muted. Ideas? No Home Depot here, just Lowe’s. (Sutter Creek, CA) Anywho, any pointers are most welcome! Thanks Jodie! Oh, I forgot, using Jo Sonja Varnish.
Hi Kathy 🤗 that is a bit peculiar as both of those bases shouldn’t mute your colors, are you noticing it on all colors or just certain ones? Also since you said you live in CA I’m wondering if the untinted base paints are a bit different. I say this because you can’t get the Behr 8300 that the rest of the country has CA and I think AZ have their own version called the Behr 2-8300 because certain ingredients are illegal in those states. I’m curious if it’s the same thing with the Valspar and the Infinity or it’s just certain colors for you. I’m also going to ask a friend of my who experiments way more than I do to see if it’s maybe the bases themselves is she has heard anything. 💜
@@ThePaintedDreamer hummm, interesting. I’ll see what I can find out on my end with regard to restrictions here in CA. I’m thinking that must be the culprit bc when I mix any kind of paint, from craft paint to the most expensive, with say, Vallejo Pouring Medium or even Floetrol, the color stays true. Like I said, I’ll check it out on my end. I’ll be curious to know what your friend has to say. Thanks!!
@@debvoso9490 ahh yes, the pouring medium mixture gets mixed into your color paints and then the cell activator mixture gets put on top before you blow everything out 😊
I took a really long break but starting to come back now. If you go to my channel home page and then hit the video tab the last two I did will be there. I hope to post a bit more regularly though what that looks like still remains to be seen 💜
So is the untainted base house paint you mentioned in the comments the second part of your pouring medium ? If so what kind of house paint am I looking for for the pillow? We have jo Sonja (that’s the polyurethane gloss varnish ,right? or no ?) or am I thick ?
Since you’re in Australia you won’t be able to get the same brands of paint as we have here but you do have the magic sauce of the Aussie floetrol for your cell activator 🤗. The two parts to your pouring medium is the untinted house paint in gloss and then a clear gloss water based polyurethane varnish, you can certainly use jo sonja for that part yes. For the pillow you want a low sheen white interior wall paint, I think what is popular there for pillow use is the British paints but there may be others as well if you want to experiment, hope this helps! 💜
Thanks so much Beverly!! The SW Infinity as far as I know isn’t being discontinued, it was the original SW HGTV High gloss Ultra Deep Base in the grey can that had been discontinued and I believe it was only the “ultra deep base” that was discontinued as I still see the “deep base” in stores. But the SW HGTV Infinity base C is current 😃😃
I get white specks in my work. I use mont marte white and pouring medium (glue /water ) + Australian foetrol as cel activater. I’m not sure how to fix it
White specks or dots can be from bubbles that have popped, you can let your paints sit awhile and stir them gently, poke any back down that you don’t like. This is what I do anyways but if it’s something else or not bubbles it may be a paint reaction of some kind or something is not playing nice together and trial & error will be needed to discover what it is 😊
Oh, no! I followed a 1:1 Valspar Ultra Semi-gloss "C" mixed with Varathane triple thick clear gloss for pouring medium then added in 1 part tube paint and it seems way to thick! I put down only the Valspar as a pillow. CA=Amsterdam Blk Oxide. with AU flo. Small cells came up and blowing out looked hopeful but they kind of just fell apart and the tilting was so slow! Can you please tell me if the ratio of 1:1 is wrong for the PM? I have gotten same result three times now and am pretty discouraged. Thanks! (this ratio came from someone else)
1:1 ratio would be very thick, I use 3:1 but be sure to check the description box under each video as all ratios and details are there of what I’m using in each video. If your pouring medium ever feels thick adding tube paint to it will only make it thicker, using a fluid paint will help with that 🤗
@@ThePaintedDreamer Yes, I thought so. When I saw your ratios it hit me! I won't mention the person who has that ratio on her You Tube. Maybe it was a typo or something. Anyway, I love that you are so informative and show your experiments. Yes, I do read everything in your description box which is so helpful! You are like visiting a good friend when I go to your channel. Today I am going to be remixing the PM to correct ratio. Thank you, thank you! ❣
@@ItsVick Your ratios will depend on the consistency of the untinted base you use as well as the varnish. My untinted bases are usually thinner as well as the varnish so a 3:1 ratio is a good mix. Where you might use the 1:1 ratio is using a really thick untinted base like the behr 8300. I’ve used 2:1 with that base but have known others to use 1:1 and it can still be thick. Something to keep in mind if you want to experiment with different untinted bases 🤗
Did you ever find out what causes those "freckles" I get that often too, not sure why? But I sometimes have to do a touch up. Sorry, I asked you this before the video ended. But feel free to elaborate? Thanks, lovely work by the way. Always. You are Sherlock Holmes.... Lol.
Eeek I’m so excited for you to try it Teri!! Yes! It does have a condensed milk like consistency. The quart I had at first was a bit thicker than my gallon but yes that’s an accurate description. ☺️💜
Hii Jodi... I wanted to ask you if you've ever used the HGTV Sherwin williams HIGH GLOSS ultra deep base and if so what is the best varnish you think is the best mix with it ? I just literally found a gallon on it randomly at my lows and they haven't had it FOREVER!! I think it was hidden or something lol because there are no high gloss anywhere ughh
Hi Michelle! That is liquid gold you found there girl how awesome! If you can believe it that’s one I actually never really tried or experimented with but I’ve seen people use jo sonja, the Minwax polycrylic as well as the Varathane regular with it so I think any one of those would work well. I would start with what you have on hand and see how you like it. Sometimes high gloss bases, at least for me, get too slippery with the jo Sonja and my cells get weird so maybe try the Minwax or Varathane with it if you are having trouble with jo sonja. Let me know how you like it 😃💜
@@ThePaintedDreamer Ohhh wow sweet 😍 im super excited now ...it literally was the only one and its never been there this passed year lol only the white and black colored ones! Thank you so much Jodi for the help !!!! I actually have all 4 varnsihes as of now haha also this stuff is SUPER thick I feel almost thicker than the behr if thats possible 😅
@@michellebailey86 oh wow that sounds thick! I would stick with a thin varnish then so it doesn’t lend in making it thicker! Have so much fun with it! 😃
Haha! I’d love to say it’s magic but no it’s just all the paint flowing down and on the spinner itself that keeps the canvas adhered to the spinner. When it’s dry I’ll put a little pillow paint down to adhere it and as the paint starts flowing from spinning it keeps it in place even if I lift and move it 🤗
Sure, I don’t see why not, I’ve known other artists who do other techniques utilizing house paints either for their base paint or PM so I think there’s a lot you can do with it! I plan to explore that more at some point 🤗
Oh Thank you!!

Thank you so much Carolita 🤗 enjoy yourself on Saturday 💜
Thank you for all the hints and tips. Your a wonderful inspiration and its wonderful.
You are so very welcome Barbara, thank YOU!! 🥰
Thank you for all your experiments. They help sooooo much!!! 👍
You’re very welcome, I’m so glad they help!! 🥰
Hi.. Janet
All beautiful test results!
I’ll keep saying it because it can be challenging at first but so worth it 😃😃😃
I so appreciate your demonstrations!
I’m so glad they help Margaret! 💜
Your colors are incredibly beautiful. The designs are so nice
Thank you so much Denise! 🥰
I love that color pallet thanks for this test. They are so gorgeous I gotta try those colors. ❤️😻
You’re so welcome, Kitty, thank YOU! Totally give those colors a go! If someone told me I could only use three colors and that’s it forever, it would be these three 🥰🥰
It turns out to be very beautiful .your colours are exquisite
Thank you so much! 💜
The stary effect is cool. I LOVE THIS ONE!❤
It definitely has its place 🤗 Thank you Sheila! 💜💜

Your hard work is appreciated!!
Thank you so much Kathleen!! 😃💜💜
HEY! Jody!
Thank you so much Pamela!! 🥰🥰🥰

Loving the cells!!! You inspire me!
I’m so happy I inspire Sheila, thank you! 💜💜
Very informative, I enjoy watching you test products and the cool thing is there is a Lowes, Home Depot and a Menards all in the same town that is close to me. The colors are stunning as always. Happy painting :)
Oh awesome! Then you totally have your pick on bases 😃😃. Thanks so much Janice! 🥰

Thank you! 💜
Incredible!
Thank you Denise! 🤗
A huge THAN YOU for doing all these tests. You are awesome. I just found a place to buy infinity from. I will try it. More power to you. Thanks again.
You’re so welcome, I’m glad they help 🤗. I just heard they are reformulating the Infinity so if you aren’t finding it at your Lowes it’s only temporary.
Thank you. I was wondering about the Infinity.
You’re welcome, Tracy, I absolutely LOVE the infinity 🤗💜
I just bought a quart (Eeek!) As it was pricey $! I didn't have time to even open it today. Hoping it is like your gallon. Love your "mad-scientist" experiments!! Keep rockin' it!
Yea this is a pricier base but if you end up liking it, it’s cheaper to get the gallon and worth it! Others who have gotten the quart size have had no trouble so I think it may have been just a fluke. I currently have it sitting on a shelf for a few months and I’ll bring it out again to see if anything changed with it.
The 2nd pour is to die for, I need to go to your selling site. By the way, I believe you should write a how to book. U ROCK teaching the methods☺️
Thanks so much Holyn! I’ve always wanted to write a book, we shall see 😃🤗💜🌺
Beautiful..lol I was trying to get off another channel and all of a sudden I see your Bloom I am like no way that's Jodie "s ..yep I my phone knows where to go ♥️They are beautiful..I am getting those the day are warm but nights really cold still..I even got not a crack but a line sorta weird..Then soon it will be really hot.😊
Thank you Carolyn 🥰
Thank you Jodi! Just started and your videos are so helpful 🙌
You’re welcome Tracy, I’m so glad they have helped! 🤗🌺💜
Great video, thank you! I'm also getting the micro cracks when using polycrylic, I wondered if my paint room was too cold at 62?
Thanks Jeff! I feel like it has to be environmental because I’ve used the poly before with absolutely no issues. I feel like it’s a mix between the cold and also the lack of humidity. 62 is a bit cold, when mine gets to about 68 I bring a space heater in which doesn’t help the humidity ha! But luckily winter is only a few months.
Love this Jodie, thanks
Yay! Thank you so much!! 😃💜
Hi i asked my question on another video i hope you find it. Thanks so much for the information and experience you are passing down to us. This is also relaxing to watch. In between all my work..I hope the Valspar doesnt have a D...LOL
I just answered it 🤗
@@ThePaintedDreamer you will laugh...
Thank you so much Jodie this has really helped me with mixing my paints💕🌼🌼💕💋
Oh good, I’m so glad it has helped Pauline ☺️ you’re very welcome!! 💜
Will let you know, I promise💙💚💛🧡❤️💜
Stars or not, they both turned out great 👍 👌
Thanks so much Clasina! 🥰
Beautiful xxx
Thank you Cindy!! 🥰🥰
Those colors look amazing. You have a talent for sure. When I put those colors in a pour, I get real ugly mud. lol
Thank you so much Donna! It’s all about the consistency too, if these paints were thinner they’d probably mud up more. The thicker the better with colors that tend to not play nice together 😬💜
Gorgeous. Love both. Glenis

Thank you so much Mirtha, I really appreciate that 🥰🤗🌺
Hey Jodie thanks so much for doing these videos; I've really enjoyed them!
@@vickimcculloch2014 Haha! You know it! I can’t stop testing this Infinity with different things, it’s passing them all with flying colors! 😃😃😃💜
Wow ❤
Thank you Jodie!!! I’m still using the Glidden/Behr/Josonja PM. Would you now recommend Infinity/Josanja over what I’m using? Again your testing is priceless and your videos are so helpful!
I am thinking I may be able to eliminate the glidden part of the PM?
I have the gallon Infinity that I bought last week. I do have some of the same issues with the specks. My gallon is pretty thick.
Loved it , wish it had been longer !!
Thanks Geri 🤗
Lovely. Cannot tell but do the. Painting have a shiny finish?
Thank you Lois! The infinity base by itself dries more semi gloss than gloss but then it also depends on the paints you are using too. The Behr base dries real glossy regardless. I usually varnish or resin my pieces so that will make it glossy regardless ☺️
Nice job
Thank you! 🤗
Hi Jodie! Awesome video! How did you mix the 3 tube paints you used with the new PM? Just a blob of paint + PM to get that consistency?
I can't get the same effects!! Is it necessary to spin them? Absolutely love watching you!!
It does take a bit of practice 🤗 You can totally just tilt your canvas you don’t have to spin it. I started spinning because I wasn’t very good at tilting 😂 .. I kind of combine both now sometimes especially with swipes 💜
Love you mixing video and the dried mediums. Question is the thicker infinite is it a lacquer and can you use it to protect you paintings? 💞💫
Your designs are beautiful. What vanish do you use to give the painting a shine?
Thank you Lois! I use Liquitex Gloss varnish mixed with water 50/50. As a side note any video where I include the dried results at the end hasn’t been varnished yet, whatever gloss is on there is how it dried from the pouring medium & paints ☺️💜
Hi Jodi, I’m struggling with my blooms. None of them look as good as your:( What do you add to your pillow house paint? Thanks🌺
Hi Uri, I’m sorry to hear that but I will say this can be a challenging technique and there is a learning curve so with time and practice you can achieve what you want to. It took me a good 6 months to start seeing what I wanted to see so just have fun with it as you get to know your paints more 🤗. I don’t add anything to my pillow I use it straight from the can 💜
Your mix turns beautifully is it a bit thinner? to get those amazing cells?
My paints mixed with my PM are usually on the thicker side of fluid but my cell activator is thinner so it sinks down to create the cells 😊
Thanks!!
I love it and these are also colours that I love so maybe I m biased. Jokes aside its beautiful.
☺️ Thank you so much Barbara! 💜💜
Hi I just found your channel
Thanks for your insights
I still have on question
What do you mix on your paints
Thanks again
Hi Deb! You’re very welcome! Thanks for finding me 😃 .. could you clarify your question though I’m not sure I understand, just want to answer best ☺️
@@ThePaintedDreamer what do you add into your paints your pouring medium?
@@debvoso9490 ahh yes, the pouring medium mixture gets mixed into your color paints and then the cell activator mixture gets put on top before you blow everything out 😊
@@ThePaintedDreamer 👍🏻
Hi.. Deb voso
Could the canvas from Target be the issue in your video as far as the little starry effect?
No, it was the can of base I had that was the problem 😊
Jody are you still showing clips on you tube? Is there a different sight?
JODI THANK YOU FOR YOUR EXPERIMENTS. BEAUTIFUL RESULTS! ISNT THIS TGE SHERWIN WILLIAMS THAT I HEARD WAS BEING DISCONTINUED ?
This is very beautiful even on a not too square angled canvas
Thank you Lilette! 🤗
Did you ever find out what causes those "freckles" I get that often too, not sure why? But I sometimes have to do a touch up. Sorry, I asked you this before the video ended. But feel free to elaborate? Thanks, lovely work by the way. Always. You are Sherlock Holmes.... Lol.
The quart was just a bad can, I had no trouble with since then, I just switched cans 😊
I bought the infinity recently, but have not opened it yet. Would you consider the gallon more as liking to condensed Milk?
How do you keep your painting sticking to your turning table because you are lifting and putting on the side without slipping . Is it magic
Haha! I’d love to say it’s magic but no it’s just all the paint flowing down and on the spinner itself that keeps the canvas adhered to the spinner. When it’s dry I’ll put a little pillow paint down to adhere it and as the paint starts flowing from spinning it keeps it in place even if I lift and move it 🤗
@@ThePaintedDreamer thank you , I will try your magic recipe
Can this Pouring Medium be used for any other techniques?
Sure, I don’t see why not, I’ve known other artists who do other techniques utilizing house paints either for their base paint or PM so I think there’s a lot you can do with it! I plan to explore that more at some point 🤗
