NOTE: If you can’t find these brands or are in a different country the components you want are an untinted base house paint (base c or d, base 3 or 4 whichever is lowest, deep base or ultra deep base or neutral base) plus a water based polyurethane gloss varnish to make up your Pouring Medium. If you want to try a more traditional pouring medium base because you can’t get certain components, TOTALLY go for it and give it a try 😃 it’s YOUR Art after all! 💜
Love the depth of information in your videos, don't shorten them. Thanks for sharing 😊
You’re welcome Anna, and thank you for the feedback, I’m so glad it’s helpful 🤗🌺
I absolutely LOVE your tutorials! You have the demeanor of a natural teacher and you go the extra mile to show comparisons. My work is CPTSD therapy and after discovering you (and subscribing), my frustration levels have dropped tremendously. I have broken through to work I enjoy seeing. Retracing the blooms and cells with my eyes after my pieces are sealed relaxes me, and I am able to smile. Thank you for what you do! You help this world more than you know...
PEACE is (still) the word.
Thank you so much, I’m so glad my videos have helped you! And thank you for your kind words, they truly mean a lot 🥰✌🏻💜

Thank you for your curious nature really pays off and you generous is appreciated. Your paintings are always beautiful.
You’re so welcome, Wendy, thank you so much 🥰🌺
I am so excited about this video. I have that Valspar Ultra that I bought in ignorance and because I've waited so long (fear) to start this technique I knew that Lowes would not take it back and I didn't have a receipt. I just went in there and said "I need the cheapest paint base you have and leave it untinted". Then later I read all my notes and realized (too late) that I had bought the wrong pillow paint (high gloss) and the for-mentioned Valspar. Now you've tested it and I had also purchased some Triple Thick so man, I'm so jazzed about this. Thanks so much for your spirit in experimenting because it sure helped me out. You're amazing and so were your paintings.
Oh yay Laura, I’m so glad you already have everything, totally give it a go!! Let me know how it works out for you 😃💜🌺
Another great video chock-full of very useful information! Thanks for having a curious itch! 🤗

Jody you are a fantastic teacher. I’m an experimenter, too. And a stocker upper. 💕💕
Aww thank you so much Sonja I appreciate that 🤗 .. it’s fun to experiment isn’t it and I’m glad I’m not the only one who stocks up haha! It’s true though, every time I fall in love with something (food product, make up product, clothes, paint products) they discontinue it, I’ve learned to buy a few of something I love 😂😃💜
Thank you Jody for all your recommends!! I love you!
Aww you are so welcome, Morgana, thank YOU so much! 🥰🌺

Wow. Wow wow wow! I’ve said it before, you are amazing 🤩. I’m a cheap painter so I haven’t used the Valspar and such. But when I do.. beautifully done my dear. I did get my hands on a 5 gallon bucket of something I’m playing around with. Haven’t made anything yet but super excited! Thank you for experimenting and how well you explain everything.

Thank you Jody. This information is really helpful. I live in Canada and the Aussie floetrol is not an option. I am beginning to get decent results with the American floetrol recipes due to the work you and a couple of others have posted. I love and appreciate your testing of all these products. You are creating amazing art.
You are so welcome Dawn and thank YOU! I’m so glad the US floetrol is working out for you 😃. In case you are unaware the fluid art company (link in description box below video) is now stocking Aussie floetrol in Canada so it would just be local shipping instead of international. Just something to think about on your journey 🤗💜🌺
Thank you so much. I really love your videos

You’re very welcome Lori, I’m so glad they have helped 🤗 Thank you so much 💜💜
Hi Jodi. I want to first say I NEVER miss any of your videos. Thank you for ALL your time and Money that you put in this to help us learn , your an amazing Artist and an Awesome teacher. I have been using this combo for a little over a month with terrific outcomes for the most part , the issue I have had is (to the best of my knowledge) with only one brand and its only a few colors, the Liquitex Prof. Heavy body in the colors Brilliant yellow green , Quinacridone Burnt Orange and Yellow Orange Azo. I am going to try each one again changing combos of colors or layout etc.... I’m also getting very deep lines through some of my pieces that are fine through the spin and or tilt, go check a few hours later and I have a race track through my finished piece.
Hi Tonya! 😃👋🏻 You’re so welcome, thank you so much for your support, I truly appreciate it 🥰. That’s awesome you are using this combo and it’s working out well for you. I’m wondering with those paints you mentioned if because they are a heavy body paint and a bit thicker they are drying like that. Do you cover your pieces for drying? If not that may help too. I’ve had similar issues when I try to use the Behr 8300 alone with JS besides the wonky cells I get cracks along the CA lines. I’ve attributed it to the thicker base paint so I’m wondering if that’s happening because you are using the heavy body paints? It’s a theory anyways, let me know what comes of it, if you find a solution 😃🤗💜🌺
Beautiful Jodie 💜
Thank you Tracie! 🤗💜🌺
Thank you as always very informative
You’re very welcome Chiara 🤗🌺

Breathtaking Jodie.
🤗 Thank you Denise!! 💜
This is amazing! I watched a few other videos a while back on sheelee bloom art and I bought all the stuff including pigments, which cost a fortune, and they just didn't work for me.
Now i will give it another go with your recipe. I really appreciate your dedication.
Totally give it another go Pam, it’s totally worth it. I also highly recommend the Shelee Art course as well as the fb group if that’s something that interests you .. either way, totally give it a go! 🤗💜🌺
Hi, Jodie. Great informational video! Loved both pours! Interested to see that purplish ribbon when resined.
Hi Lori 😃👋🏻 Thank you so much! I’ll take video of the finished piece. I may do another where are they now video also 🤗💜
Beautiful
Thank you Jackie! 🤗🌺
Thank you so much for this, Jodie. I’m out of my Infinity base, and I just can’t pull the trigger $-wise to keep getting it. Looking forward to trying the Valspar/triple-thick recipe.
You’re so welcome, totally give it a go! I’d love to hear how you like it! 😃💜💜
U are amazing ❤
So glad I came across this video and dying to watch the next one using US FL. We have Valspasr but do not have a lot of the other products. So thank you soooo much. Now I can give it a try ❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
I’m glad it helped 🤗 where are you located if I may ask?
Aah, I wish there was an answer to the location. I’m in the uk (Cornwall) and v700 valspar wood and metal gloss varnish base c apparently worked here when I started trying to bloom - with no success for me. I just got really busy and stopped trying, but recently was reignited, had some me time and tried fluid art again. Realised I couldn’t Dutch pour so tried to bloom and, hey presto, I got results I was excited about but had to work on colour combos etc, using my old can. Here our v700 has changed recipe since I bought mine and now, apparently, the currently available v700 doesn’t work for blooms now. Just wondering Jodie if there has been a change in your v700 so it’s now a universal recipe, as in the change is just here in the uk? Sorry if it’s a bit of a chemistry question; mainly has your base c v700 changed in the last year? We had Marathons, you guys had Snickers and now ours are Snickers (with a taste change) but peanut butter is still the same! Sorry it’s a bit rambling, long day in school today. The kiddies I work with love balloon dipping because they can be artists without being fine artists and it came from your advice on consistency, so, thanks so much 😊 because they create ‘art’ and they love it! Tia if you have time to reply. 😊
I have not used it but will give it a try
Thank you! You are the bestest ever! I have been getting squiggly cells and I use Behr..... I am switching and see what happens!
You’re welcome Joanna! I have a love hate with the Behr, it’s so clear and beautiful but it’s SO thick and super glossy my cells just move all over the place, I have yet to find a cure for it but I keep trying in the background. In the meantime this Valspar Ultra really is something else!! Let me know how it works out for you! 😃💜🌺
Very nice piece
Thank you Angela 🤗🌺
Hi Jodi, thank you for all of your trials. I am new at pouring. You, RUclips, and all the other fabulous artists have certainly inspired & taught me so much. I thank you all! I do want to pass along a rather surprising fact that was told to me by the Home Depot paint mgr. last week when I was placing my order for Behr 8300 deep base. He said that is the base that is used to mix the Ultra Pure White. Shocked me cause I kinda figured like you that it was used for the dark colors.
Hi Renee 😃 you’re so welcome I’m glad I’ve been able to help! RUclips and all the artists here are just a wealth of knowledge and inspiration 🥰. That is interesting about the Behr 8300, I wonder if it’s the same for other brands as I suppose you would need to start with an untinted base for anything really to get your color, thanks for that! 🤗💜🤗
I'm so glad you did this! Valspar was the first untinted I used and I've got a slew of polycrylics including triple Varathane.. Only since incorporating josonja, all my stuff is wonky af! 😂 I have to eliminate the Jo and just use the jowa for thinning if necessary. You rock.
It’s funny and I just love the jo Sonja varnish but I’m finding with certain untinted paint bases that are high gloss combined with the jo Sonja it’s TOO glossy, apparently that’s a thing because your cells just go all weird and that’s just not acceptable. Let me know what you think of this combo after you’ve tried it and how your cells are with it, I’d love to know! 🤗🌺
Another Winner winner chicken dinner!! Jodi you did it again and superbly as usual. I would have loved to also see the consistency of the triple thick valthane. As you know I have had my own issues with my ultra thick PM. And you’ve helped me immensely to adjust mine to finally work and for that I’m eternally grateful. That struggle was REAL!!! But I’m SOOOO tempted to go out and try and find a thinner untinted paint to use with my Cabothane non Drip. And then I’ll have 2 distinct PMs. I’m into having options!!!!! Love your trials and your results speak for themselves. Love it as always hugs Deb
Aww thank you so much Debbie! 🤗 .. ooohh good idea, I’ll show the consistency of the triple thick varnish, I totally have no idea why I didn’t do that lol! I’ve already filmed the third video so I’ll show it in the 4th and then again in the mixing video for sure. Thank you! I’m so glad you’ve found a base that works well for you but it’s always nice to have a backup, just in case 😉😃🤗💜💜🌺
OMG you covered so much I can’t believe you can remember all that you do put it your videos!! It’s just I was really interested to see if the triple thick varnish was similar to my Cabothane Non Drip. And if it was then I’m definitely going to find my nice Bunnings Paint Guy (not mr grumpy pants) and ask him to open a few cans of paints so I can find a thinner untinted base. I really want to have 2 PMS because then I can paint twice as many blooms!! Thank you again for all that you do for us out here in RUclips land. You are the bloom goddess for sure!!! Hugs again
@@debramead3567 Absolutely! Totally makes sense to me, I'll be sure to show it for you! :D
The video was wonderful & very informative. My local Lowes also told me that they are having trouble getting new stock of infinity and I ended up paying $25.00 quart - so expensive for the Base C. I can't do BEHR because of the VOC's (really toxic for headaches) - so I am happy to try this alternative that is hopefully low VOC. NEVER apologize for the length of your videos, you are giving your followers so much and asking nothing in return...and with that I say 'Thank you for everything you do and share with us'
You are so welcome, thank YOU so much! That Infinity is just getting super expensive! I fell in love with it when it was still $43 a gallon at my Lowe’s but last time I bought a gallon it was over $50 a gallon 😳. Needless to say I have a few stockpiled but definitely switching to this Valspar Ultra next. Let me know what you think of the Infinity and then the Valspar when you try it! 🤗🌺
Paint scientist. Gotta love it! I've been stuck in a cycles of paints drying poorly and condensing, so I'm pumped to find your recipes 🙃 Thanks for being so thorough.
You’re welcome Crystal I’m so glad it’s helped 🤗. As far as drying if you have too low of humidity that can definitely constrict your paints and even cause them to split as they dry, regardless of the recipe. I have issues myself as the seasons change and the humidity drops before I put my humidifier on.
@@ThePaintedDreamer I have my paintings drying in a cold room (keeps the cat out!). Im in Maine by the ocean, so humidity usually isn’t a problem. Would the lower temperature cause those issues?
@@crystalwaters9059 lower temps (62 or lower for me) plus low humidity (under 25%, sometimes under 30% for me) would definitely cause it, it happens to me if I’m not careful before I turn on the humidifier combined with the type of paints being used and how they dry typically. I would experiment to see what works best in your environment as it changes or if it changes for you. The first couple years of me doing fluid art was interesting as the seasons changed I had to adjust things as my environment changed but once you come to know it you can quickly correct it for your environment 😊
@@ThePaintedDreamer Awesome, thank you. I just checked on a painting I tried with your recipe and it looks great so far. 🥳 drying like a champ!
Thank you for that, the paintings are beautiful, and finally a paint base I can get, Valspar is Australian made :) I haven't been able to get any of the others that different artists use :)
You’re so welcome, Marilyn, thank you so much! Valspar seems to be a good line for the blooms. I know others in Europe use an untinted paint base for blooms by Valspar and the one I’m testing is amazing so if you have Valspar paint give their untinted base a try 😃💜
Hi ya honey, your a researcher , doing a darn good job. As Karen would say “TADA” Happy to see you & love learning from you
Hi Holyn! 😃 Aww thank you so much, I really appreciate that 🤗 .. I love when Karen says Tada! 😃🤗💜🌺

Jodi Jodi Jodi,
Ya had me so excited I braved the heat and went to Lowe’s .
Question, they sold me triple one coat polyurethane by minwax, YIKES, will that be ok to use ? I need to get computer fixed so I can get on your page.
Keep cool, put your feet up & have a beverage of your choice.
Kindly, Holyn
@@holynyork7124 That Minwax One Coat is the one varnish that didn't mix up well with the Valspar Ultra it looked really weird, I talked about it in this video that I didn't even test it because it mixed up just wrong. It's a great varnish for other bases but just not the Valspar Ultra. If you can take it back I would and get the Varathane Triple Thick which is sold at Home Depot, Menards, Ace Hardware and maybe even Walmart. Keep cool yourself, it's super hot over here in Chicago so I feel your pain! :)

I checked the pour this afternoon, no cracking, or crazing. I wish I knew how to send u a picture of it. Frustrated ol’ bat in the hat, my friends call ma Kimmer. 💕🚙🤪
Thank you Jodie for another great instructional video! Whilst watching you the light bulb finally switched on and I understood about the different base you used in the pouring medium. It’s only taken me months to understand and convert it to Australian products arghhhh!! I’m now excited to try this out and see how it goes. Also can’t wait to watch what you have in store for your subscribers with the next lot of experiments. Of course it goes without saying both of those pours turned out beautifully! Thank you again for this fabulous video! 🥰❤️😍
Aww thank you so so much Bron, I really appreciate that truly 🤗 .. I’m so glad it finally clicked for you! Believe me I’ve been there! I’d love to see your progress if you ever want to email me 😃, my email link is on the about tab if you go to my YT channel home page. 💜💜
Thank you I will do that when I’m next playing in my art room. Another quick question if I may - do you layer your paints/pigments in any particular order? As in pigments first then opaque, semi transparent & transparent? Your blooms always turn out beautifully but I forgot to watch how you layer what, arghhhh! 💖
I know there can be a science to it meaning layering using the opaqueness or transparency of the paint but honestly I don’t follow it at all, I just look at my paints mixed up and say this is the order I want haha! I will say though I do think through what I want on the bottom like for example when I use the red orange, I like that on the bottom because it comes through the cells then as sort of the middle color. I also try not to layer a pigment as my last color before CA as it can get a little grainy looking but sometimes I don’t follow that rule either. I hope this somewhat helps Bron! 🥰🌺🥰
Thanks Jodie it was really helpful! 💖
very nice
Thanks so much Rosemary! 🥰🌺
Jody thank you for this experiment and all the experimenting that you do. This option will help cut down on costs for sure as well as just give us another option! I have used Clark+Kensington base from Ace Hardware and it works pretty well too. I use it with Josonja varnish for best results. Ace has a rewards program and has competitive pricing with their varnishes. They also offer sample sizes in the C+K which makes it a decent price point for beginners without breaking the bank.
You’re so welcome Sally, thank you so much! That’s funny you mention the Clark & Kensington because after I’m done with the Valspar tests and videos I was planning to start testing behind the scenes the semi gloss and hi gloss of that C&K brand with various varnishes 😃. I’m glad you like it. The Valspar is definitely cheaper than the Infinity I love. They raised the price again of the Infinity to $50 a gallon where I’m at 😳. I was just told both the Valspar ultra hi gloss and semigloss are $32.99 a gallon! Definitely better price points. But I’m excited to try out the CK next! 🤗💜
Love this experiment because I’m using valspar and I always use it w jo Sonja thanks honey 🥰🥰❤️
Oh good, you’re so welcome Maryam! Let me if you ever try it with the Varathane Triple Thick how you like it 🤗💜🤗
@@ThePaintedDreamer sure I’ll try it and let u know thanks again for great video 😍
Love this Jodie! Love your color choice. I have stock piled Infinity too, but they also told me this other one (can't remember the name right now) is supposed to be the same formula, so I have a video that needs one larger pour added where I have tested just subbing for Infinity. Hopefully I'll get that out soon too. A lot of artists use Triple Thick too and this comparison is great for those who can't get JS or it's too much. You're wonderful my friend ❤
Thanks so much my friend 😃 .. I’m curious about that base you mentioned (shocker) .. is it the showcase perhaps or something non HGTV. I think the Triple Thick and the Minwax One Coat overall are on par with the Jo Sonja so for sure great substitutes if you can’t get JS. I’ll be looking for your video 👀👀 🤗💜🌺
@@ThePaintedDreamer I'll message you the pic when I locate it on my phone too
@@HopeDesigns Awesome! :D
Your back at it, my up coming award winning sweet artist. I enjoy bringing into my home.

You are so welcome, from the bottom of my heart. I’ve only been sleeping 2-3 hours a night.
Home life is stutter in my art journey. Hoping this to shall pass. U bring me out of it. Thank u dear one. 💕💕🐾🚙
@@holynyork7124 I'm sorry to hear you aren't sleeping well :(, Does melatonin help any? Art journey's definitely ebb and flow, just go with it, it will start to flow again :)

Amazing new to chaannel and i find paint freeing i want to see it all do it all and take pictures bhaha TY i will be back to learn more
Thank you so much and welcome to my channel! I hope you find it helpful! 🤗🌺🤗
This is so very helpful! Thank you for sharing your tests and beautiful work. I haven't done much with this technique and the paints I have on hand just don't seem to be working. The Base C I've been using with polycrylic varnish has too much white pigment and swallows my colors as they dry. I have a new can of Glidden Essentials Semi-gloss Deep Base that I am hopeful about. Following your example, I put it side by side with the other base and it seems much less opaque. I am 60+ miles away from the nearest Home Depot and 70+ miles from Lowes and always seem to forget what brands folks are having success with when I find myself able to go, lol! My local options are Ace hardware, Walmart, and Sherwin Williams (which doesn't carry HGTV Infinity), so if you've had success with any of their brands, I'd love to hear!
I’m so glad it was helpful Carole. I’ve not used the Glidden Essentials base myself but if it’s less opaque that’s good, I’d love to hear how it works out for you! I have a couple bases from Ace Hardware that I want to test out as I’ve heard others use them and love them. It’s the Clark & Kensington line, there’s a semigloss interior neutral base (orange & black can) and then a hi gloss interior/exterior neutral base (purple & gold can) so maybe that’s something you want to try too, they have them in quart cans 😃💜
I really love the violet and teal piece. It almost looks l I'm e stained glass
It does doesn’t it 🤗 thanks so much Sandi! 💜🌺
I sooo needed this! Thanks a bunch Jodie! I’ve been using the Valspar Ultra in High Gloss mixed with Jo Sonja (just ordered a 32 oz bottle of Jo😩)and my results have been just meh..Since I have almost a full gallon left, I’ll grab some triple thick and hopefully that’ll be the ticket. Thanks again💫💓
Oh good, I’m so glad Latoya, you’re welcome! 😃 .. how has it been with you and the jo Sonja, are things kind of shifty? The cells just moved around too much for me with it. You’ll like the Triple thick. And the Jo Sonja you have save it for if you ever try a different base or use it as varnish on your pieces 🤗💜🌺
New sub here... so happy to find you... I'm drawn to your color sense with your blooms....
Ahhhh blooms.... I want blooms... but alas I'm a bit of a bloomin ninny about them. I'm intimidated by the blooming bloom!
I have been though gathering all manner of pots and buckets- paints and tiles ....and for sure a handy dandy scraper stands at the ready.
I'm most intrigued at being able to use floetrol in the cell activator instead of the wood conditioner, as one of my migraine triggers is certain smells.
I enjoy your quiet way and can actually think fast enough to understand what you are so kindly sharing.
If I may ask... do you wash your tiles in vinegar or anything to start? Do you spray with a sealer for adhesion?
One last question and I'll hush lol... I'd appreciate your opinion about Arteza paints for the bloom technique. I have lots and I'd love to use then assuming I can add sparkle medium.
Ok I'm goin.. thank you for you help! Have a very brilliant day!
Hi Nalla and welcome to my channel! 😃👋🏻 .. don’t be intimidated by it, it can be challenging but with time and practice you’ll find it’s very rewarding and a lot of fun! For my tiles I usually just wipe them off with isopropyl alcohol to get any dust off, let that dry and then you’re ready to go. I’m not sure what you mean about spraying with a sealer for adhesion but once my tiles have dried and cured and ready to be finished I’ll either varnish or resin them. You can certainly use a spray varnish or other type of varnish you like to use or resin. As far as Arteza paints go, I love them, I don’t use them enough and I have a whole drawer full haha! I always seem to be in a rut and stick to the paints I always use but Arteza is a good paint to use for sure so totally if you have them, use them! Hope this helps and have an awesome day yourself! 💜💜
Thank you so much for all your recipes. So many people won't do that. I used glidden essentials in white semi gloss. On tiles. It's too runny. Can I add something to thicken it up. If so how much would I add. I'm a newbie.
Thank you so much for all your hard work into this!! It's so disheartening that lowes here hadn't been able to get the Valspar in HI Gloss for months... and they give no hope for an arrival😟. Now I'm in the hunt in every book and cranny for anything in hi gloss at all. I did find the Behr... still waiting for my Australian floetrol. But I'm learning, so it's good. Gotta adapt. As always you are incredible! Thanks again and smiles and blessings...
Would you mind listing all the pillow paint you use? Thanks
You’re very welcome Lisa! The Valspar Ultra in Semi Gloss base c works really well too if you can’t find the hi gloss. I’ve tested both and they both work awesome! A new one I’m also testing is the new Behr Dynasty semigloss deep base and it’s looking good so far! 😃 The pillow I use is listed in each video along with all the other products, it’s still the Glidden Premium base 1 in either Satin or Eggshell (I use both interchangeably) 💜
Gorgeous painting use full information
Thanks so much Domi, I’m glad it helped 🤗💜
I like the bloom one the best than the swipe one.
Totally agree, the bloom is my favorite of these two also. The cells just completely exploded! 😃🌺💜
Good morning Jodi, I am becoming a huge fan of your channel. You are a wonderful instructor of this pouring technique. I LOVED your Moody Blues !💕✨ May I inquire where you get your mixing containers with attached covers ?
Good morning Penny 🤗 thank you so much for your kind words that means a lot and I’m so glad I’ve been able to help. The round mixing containers with attached lids (2oz) I get on Amazon (link is in my Amazon Storefront if you want to see them). The square containers with attached lids (also 2oz) come from the fluid art company (link is also below in description box). As long as they have a tight seal you can really use anything 🤗
Hey I love this THANK YOU the hgtv is 55! Actually I would love to see a dried comparison on the SW hgtv and the valspar side by side? But this is ultra encouraging going to home depot tomorrow! Also love that you did tube fluid and pigments. Thank you so so much!
Hi Denae! You’re so welcome, thank YOU! That SW Infinity keeps going up in price I’m wondering if there’s some gold in there 😂. When I first started using it, it was $42 a gallon now it’s $50 at my Lowe’s but other parts of the country it’s up to $56+ 😳 .. The Valspar is definitely cheaper. Good idea, I’ll insert a comparison of the Infinity and the Valspar dried bases in the next video I film 🤗💜🌺
@@ThePaintedDreamer excellent! 🎨 thank you so much! Looking forward to watching 👀
@@denaemcintosh5863 I've already released today's video and then already have Sunday's edited but I'm going to film next Wednesday's tomorrow or Friday. Since that will be the last of the testing of the Valspar, I think it will be a great place to add the comparison of the Infinity compared to these PMs. Just wanted to update you when it will be as I was thinking about it :)
@@ThePaintedDreamer that's awesome! Btw if you ate in the US Lowes has all gallon paint 10.00 off! I went ahead and grabbed the Infinity due to the never having the correct Valspar in stock. Just a heads up in case you wanna grab one or three 😉
@@denaemcintosh5863 haha! Thanks!! I did get over there to take advantage and got some more Valspar 😃
Beautiful!! Thank you for all you do in teaching and explaining - it helps more than you know. How do your canvas boards not dip in the middle after they are dry? 😊. So much good information! 🌺
Thank you so much Kathy! Smaller canvases I don’t do this to but bigger, 8” and above, if they aren’t truly tight before painting I’ll spray the back with a little water to tighten the canvas up. That’s all I do before painting I don’t do anything after. As far as the canvas panels, the flat boards, I can’t use anything over 4”x6” panels as they will start to bend in the middle as they dry. I haven’t found a bigger canvas panel that doesn’t do this yet. Hope this helps! 🤗💜
@@ThePaintedDreamer are these regular canvases or the canvas boards? With the boards, every time I use one, warps.
@@Kathy-Carr These here that I'm testing with are 6" square deep sided canvases, the ones you get at Michaels in the 4 pack. I can't use the canvas boards bigger than 4"x6", they warp on me too. The 4"x6" is the only size that does not warp and those I use for a lot of testing or making small art :)
@@ThePaintedDreamer thank you so much!
