After watching this interview I have a different view of kick and I really like the way they are doing it. Its almost like they took all the bad things with twitch fixing them and are implementing them on the site. Blaming kick for the chatters being toxic is kinda wild. Those same chatters are on twitch and being toxic is on them
Great Job Got all the Points covered and then some!!! Jake you were okay, but Hun2r you were the man as usual!! Keep up the great work Hun2r, and Jake get gud kid!!!
The CEO actually brought up some good points. What Hasan and Pokimane fail to realize is that the operating costs of Twitch are not the base operating costs for all live media. Twitch has a lot of bloat. Have they actually seen how many employees currently work at Twitch? Like a lot of corporations, there is a ton of wasteful spending. Twitch are also owned by Amazon who have their own goals for what is and isn't successful. Twitch could make a profit and still not be profitable with how much money Amazon has invested in it. So unless we have Twitch open up their accounts and look at what their actual operating costs are, it's a bit silly to take them at face value. Of course they are gonna claim they aren't making a profit, as they need to justify taking money from their viewers and streaming talent. I'm not saying it's not expensive to host streaming for millions of people. But companies like RUclips and Twitch might not be ran efficiently. Case and point Twitter. After Elon fired almost 80% of their employees, the company was still up and running. It's genuinely baffling what all those employees were actually being paid for. And a lot of these folks were on a $250k a year salary with full benefits. Willing to bet Twitch has a similar structure. Find it funny that Hasan actually believes Twitch completely on their justification for taking streamers donations.
All those highly paid revenue/business analysts/marketing/HR professionals aren’t cheap. I do think your right that big tech companies have a lot more bloat than startups. You just have to look at some of the hq perks they have/used to have. Elon just got some of his other engineers from Tesla/SpaceX to p/u the slack lol.
i feel like something to do with the expense of running the site especially if more streamers come on board to kick, i'd like to see their answer in 2-3 years. costs will only keep going up , it will be more expensive for kick to keep running how its running. i'd love to see their numbers in year 3 compared to twitch.

i think from a business stand point Emmet wasn't awful , but he was purely a businessman , you can already tell a huge difference between him and Dan , you hear stories about dan having dinners with streamers even going on their streams , something Emmet would have never done in a million years. You can even hear at the end that Eddie does hold a lot of respect for some one like Dan , because i also highly doubt Emmet would have ever done an interview with Jake. Obviously being owned by amazon kind of limits on what you can say or do as you have to have everything approved by them. which i think is why kick is important , maybe let twitch have a wake up call they need.

Eddie and Kick sound like they just want to take short cuts and sign people just to rush things along. ..."these conversations around Kick were happening before Stake got banned by Twitch." sure. how much before, and why do the two gambler megastreamers that lost their bag just happen to be part owners?
..."Kick Prime could exist" LUL and the benefits definitely would not have anything to do with Stake
...passed on commenting about sponsored streamers gambling with fake money
