      The job of the guards and horses is to entertain the "ignorant tourists" for a while, after which the tourists can go and spend lots of their lovely money at other tourist attractions.

    • @linda6987
      @linda6987 11 месяцев назад +6

      doubledee9675 - I disagree. These are men and women serving their country. They are not there to be abused - seen it. Pawed on - seen it. Flipped off - seen it. Babies shoved almost in the horses mouth for a photo - seen it. Look at all these videos, you’ll see it all. It’s a total lack of respect for military personnel.

      i was looking to see if anyone else noticed the horse just hams for the camera and wants to nuzzle all the people that come to it. its loving attention no doubt. but they are in fact, giant machines with souls, im so afraid of them unless theres a fence between us because i know they spook easier than i do and thats scary. i once was on a horse as a teen that bolted down the road and into a 4 lane road. i had no idea what i was doin and literally threw myself off him once he hit the road cause i thought we were going to die. i have a HUGE amount of awe and pure respect for them. as ive gotten older, i see them for the beautiful, perfectly designed creatures that they are and im learning to not be so afraid and try to connect with a few, and it was so rewarding. my heart grew 50 sizes when they didnt stomp me or eat me. I was on a nice, relaxing trail ride as a pre-teen, mounted on a saddlebred I'd considered my 'brother from another mother' and a deer flew across our path with the speed of light. This four-legged babysitter juked sideways and was 200 yards into the woods before I knew what had happened. How I stayed in the saddle I cannot say to this very day. Treat the guard to some Hoosier hospitality for a couple of weeks, get a collar for the horse and have the dogs teach him how to bark. If the police have any questions we can say the horse is just a big Irish Wolf hound; that should work. Then we could ship them back to London with an adventure to tell! Sigh! These horses are not ill treated. Maybe civvies should go to Knightsbridge barracks and find out how they are treated. Also horse guards, instead of assuming these horses are treated badly. Maybe the CO could give you a guided tour or explain to you how the horses are treated.

    Лошади очень избирательны в своих симпатиях к туристам. Некоторые люди им очень нравятся и они подставляют лбы, чтобы их погладили. А некоторые люди лошадей явно раздражают. Наверное видят в людях нечто, чего мы не замечаем. Особенно меня, удивило, в одном видео, как лошадь осторожно поставила копыто скромному парню на его ботинок и смотрела ему в глаза, как будто хотела спросить: "Дашь поносить твою обувь"? И смотрела на него благосклонно, даже когда он отошел. 🤔🥰 Я бы заплатила деньги, чтобы узнать, что же лошадь про этого юношу думала? 😅😊

    Either put up a well- thought -out boundary or Stop the custom of the mounted guards and yes, even the ones who are on foot , of having to have close contact with the public. Let them do their drills protected much better in some way. Keep more police nearby and stop permitting the public so close to the palace for any reason

    to the people of England, Legit question.
    Is there a sign or gesture I could do to show my respect to them from a distance?? That way I can show my support of them without being intrusive or getting too close, I can do it from a respectable distance.
