I'm endlessly fascinated by folks who start out knowing virtually nothing about sailing and sailboat maintenance grow into the lifestyle. Some make it. Some "see the elephant" as they say and head back for land. It great to see you two doing so well. Lovely work btw.
..... 100% improvement .... Travis' attire is part of the freedom of sailing and saves good clothes from paint .. If you had not mentioned it Steph, most would not have noticed .... if you used something like "he is running around in his underwear again" you may attract another segment of the YT viewers ..... thx for the share .... as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
@@SailingJibsea ..... must remember that girls like eye-candy as well and there are many that are stuck on the couch and can only dream of what you are doing ..... thx for the reply .... make it an outstanding week ....
You two are very successful learn as you go full on sailors. It truly takes special people to are always be ready to get your hands dirty and get any job done, even if you have to learn how to do it first on RUclips. Stay groovy and stay safe.
You both are awesome. I started watching your videos cause the locations and sailing stuff was awesome however I’ve really enjoyed watching Travis and his DIY stuff. Bro you have so much knowledge and lack of fear at trying things. Makes me have a tad more courage when trying my own projects. Weird to think that your videos actually impact peoples lives so literally. Anyways man you should start a sister channel just on DIY stuff. You have a calm demeanor and seem to be good at instructional stuff.
Thanks so much! That’s amazing to hear that our videos can be inspiring to others. You never know what your can achieve til you give it a go right! Best of luck with your projects and thanks for watching!
I think it looks great and makes the boat look like it was done professionally. Actually, I have full confidence in anything he tries because you can just tell there’s no shortcuts for this guy! Especially after the dinghy chaps! You guys are the bomb!
Well done you guys! The new paint looks great and the transom looks brand new! Really enjoy watching and learning as you do your projects. Tbnks for allowing us to tag along.
Nice Job! As always the attention to detail in removing all the stainless instead of just painting around it was on point. Nothing like a man in his underwear painting on his boat....lol.
Wow! Great job, looks like a New Boat. Yes, taping is always a pain. Steph, about his Calvin Klein's, atleast he is cool while working. Just like you in your Bikini. My wife say's you will receive a few more likes with his Calvin and you in your Bikini .You two make a great team renewing the boat. Transom platform really turned out great.
Hi guys. The reason the texture is thicker when you use the kiwi roller than the old texture, is that your old non slip is partly worn out. So using a plain roller will mean that you have new look, but not much greater grip than your existing non slip. So you will need to apply again much sooner, because it will become slippery again much sooner
You put the product on with a regular roller. As the texture begins to tack off you use the texture roller. This way you get a uniform build up and the texture roller is only used to create a texture. Also avoids lines.
thanks! we tried that, but unfortunately in the climate, once we put it on with the first roller, it would dry instantaneously and we couldn't follow with the texture roller. The instant drying was the most challenging part!
Again very nice job, one that I have to do to my much smaller Catalina 22. Non skid is great, but when it's so aggressive that it exfoliates your feet with every step, ouch. Good choice switching rollers.
Great job guys. This was on our project list last spring, but ran out of time before launch. We have the opposite problem up here in Maine in the spring trying to get it warm enough to apply the paint in April or May.
I wish had this guy’s life.
Great video and a great job on the no slip. Thank you.
Glamour👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Looks great. Just need to messy that trans up with some tuna blood and guts!
Great job
dreading having to do this
Travis sounds like Leonardo DiCaprio from The Aviator when he is spitting out "transformation of our transom" at breakneck speed!
😂 😂
Great job. Love from FIJI 🇫🇯.
I watch everyday and I can't wait until you go further like the Mediterranean and other cool spots
My son just showed me an ad for Jibsea, you aren't leaving us are you? I sure hope not you are one of our favorites, right up there with Delos.
Travis should wear those black trunks more often 😀
lol
Nice color's
Nice work👌🏻
wow nice job

continual learning in this lifestyle that's for sure, no two days are a like and it's all part of the adventure and fun! Thanks for watching :)
I like the way you two are not phased by learning new skills. You have done some amazing work on Jibsea over the last year. She looks great.
Everyday there's something to be learned in this lifestyle and it's all part of the fun! thank you!

Well done on the taping the corners tip. I've been using so many little bits for all my life! Now I know. Keep up the great videos Jibsea!
Happy to help! thank you!
After your Year, do you wish (often) that you had a 45 or 47 foot yacht, with a bit more extra "room". ???
No not really from a 42. A 55-60 perhaps!😂
The new nonskid color is much nicer and will probably be cooler than the previous nonskid. Very nice job.
hopefully so, thanks!
Boy put some pants on. I could stop laughing
Amazing job on the non skid guys. Another fantastic video.
A whole year already? wow. Congrats to you both.
We think you did a Good job on the Deck slip grip. 😎👍
Thank you!😆
Excellent job guys. Boat deck looks great. 👍👍

Thankfully no birds came along to poop on your work. A good job well done! Cheers.
Thankfully!! Thanks!
Paint job looks great, prep. is the big pain but the final result is worth it.
thanks, couldn't agree more!
You guys did a great job,it looks really nice and it's going to be so much safer when your under sail .
thank you, we hope so!
The fabric cutter idea is a good one. Thanks.
It really is!
I think it looks great and makes the boat look like it was done professionally. Actually, I have full confidence in anything he tries because you can just tell there’s no shortcuts for this guy! Especially after the dinghy chaps! You guys are the bomb!
Thank you!! he sure is skilled when it comes to making things with his hands!
Well done you guys! The new paint looks great and the transom looks brand new! Really enjoy watching and learning as you do your projects. Tbnks for allowing us to tag along.
That's so nice to hear! Glad you enjoyed watching, great having you along for the ride!
Nice Job! As always the attention to detail in removing all the stainless instead of just painting around it was on point. Nothing like a man in his underwear painting on his boat....lol.
yep, it's all in those details! Lol, a life of minimal clothing out here for sure

I'll be doing the same project next spring, thanks for the tips. And Travis should get a Calvin Klein sponsor for this , have fun guys
thanks for watching! LOL he could use a few new pairs with how quickly his stuff gets worn out on the boat 😂
Super...
I m the first today 🤣🤣🤣
Have a nice weekend all together
Thank you Steph and Travis for this vdo
You too! thanks for watching!
Huge difference!

Big improvement!👌
Thanks! 😄
The paint job looks great. I like the blue in the grey in the forward area.
Thanks! We enjoy the cooler tone as well!
Wow Looks Flippin' awesome Guys!!
thank you!
I'm a painter and it looks good guys.
thanks!
Again very nice job, one that I have to do to my much smaller Catalina 22. Non skid is great, but when it's so aggressive that it exfoliates your feet with every step, ouch. Good choice switching rollers.
Thanks! It was certainly challenging to get just the right texture
Looks great
Thanks!
U guys did an amazing job. AAA+ ya'll Be safe.
thank you!!
What kind of boat do you have
👍👍👍👍👍
Great job guys. This was on our project list last spring, but ran out of time before launch. We have the opposite problem up here in Maine in the spring trying to get it warm enough to apply the paint in April or May.
Thanks! hopefully when you get around to doing it, the climate will cooperate, it was the main challenge for us 😣
I see that your boat is up for sale. Are you doing this work just to get the price up for the sale? What boat have you decided to change to?
Hey Travis, not sure what ya did back in Tdot, but your becoming a Canuck MacGyver !!!
😂 MacGyvering is his favourite hobby!
Why did I think Calvin’s name was Travis?
This is on my list! Which shade of grey (no pun intended) is this on the deck trails??
lol! the shade is "grey" on the KiwiGrip box!
Job looks great guys! Did you rebed all of the stainless that you removed during your project? Happy Holidays!
yes we did, thanks! happy holidays!
Very, very nice job! Question: Where were you anchored/moored when you did this job?
Thanks! We were in the mooring field outside Port Louis in Grenada
looks real nice guys. Up to doing mine? :)
😂
Very nice work. I admire your skills and pride in your boat! You have inspired me to redo my cockpit floor.
Thanks! Whoo hoo, go for it! 😆
You know in6 month you be doing it again lol
hopefully not!
I need a pretty girl in a bikini to help me work on my boat !!!!...............i should prob get a boat..................
