You compare societies where this horrible practice exists to societies where women are treated with respect and dignity. Even if you think that it is more difficult to be a woman than it is to be a man, for example in western culture, such comparison only belittles suffering of women where they have these problems.
Our youngest sister fortunately survived fgm and didn't went through fgm and she's married to a wonderful half Haitian half French white man who loves her and their first baby just turned one 😍 i have been brutally beaten by my father for hidding her from the Guy who supposed to mutilate her a broken tooth and bursted eardrum was the price i paid for protecting my baby sister from the same horrific fate that i went through..my father died and can't hurt us anymore and my sister lives in Canada today and support me financially while seeking asylum in refugee camps in Ethiopia I'm somali woman and Wiris is such a brave girl
