As a local, a tip for Mystic timbers would be if you really want to see what’s inside the shed then sit towards the middle or the back bc in the front it’s harder to see because you get sent back to the station first
as a ride op at kings island, here's some other stuff!! - fair warning on arriving early: if you're not a passholder just remember you won't be able to ride anything until 10 on the dot! also, when it comes to early ride time for passholders, sometimes we can be a liiiittle late to that 9 : 30 open... - honestly, don't trust the app's wait times.. the app is GOD AWFUL with accuracy on queue times this year and is almost never current. ive experienced this as a guest this year too. your best bet is just gonna be asking the ride operators this year unfortunately - this year we have single use fast lane that you can buy as a ticket just for one ride, and depending on how many people you have in your party these can be so useful! i see a lot of these at work, the price changes depending on the day but on the busiest saturdays it's about $17 - i don't suggest a backpack EVER! (unless you get the all day locker as suggested in the video!) like the video says, cargo shorts are great, and usually fanny packs will cover the essentials (like sunscreen, deodorant, wallets, etc!!) and can be taken on rides!
@@faridawiser5441 Fantastic! We were first in our row and rode everything. It was busy, but it was so nice to be back in the park after our long, cold winter. Love Ki. You make it?
@@HonduDan I really want to since I'm actually moving pretty close to the area, and i have family who have been there a lot and they have loved it! I'm just doing a bunch of research to see it its worth it. My family and I are hopefully going in July
The beast does close for the fireworks, however if you are in line you get to ride. It opens back up after the fireworks are over and the park has closed. It's a truly unique experience, but expect to be in the park an hour or more after the park closes because the ride typically doesn't open up until 30+ minutes after the park closes. It's not worth doing twice, but it is worth doing once. (also, this is one of the reasons I refused to be trained at the beast while I was an op. I am a morning person, and get very tired after 10pm. Beast ops regularly clock out after midnight, sometimes 1AM). Until they started the drone show, my personal favorite night ride was not The Beast, but rather Windseeker, which didn't close for the fireworks, and the ops would wait until the fireworks started to send the last ride of the night. It was really, really spectacular to be up in the sky practically right next to them. It's really too bad they had to stop because of the drones.
For the uninitiated, the beast at night is arguably the greatest coaster experience you can have... Sit in the front seat and feel what it's like to just fall for 3 straight minutes lol...
I love Kings island. It’s my Home CF park. For food. U can pick up a All day food plan for $33.99 or Premium for $45.99. For drinks u can get a souvenir cup or wrist band for $18.99. The wrist band is good for the day. The Souvenir cup is free refills for that day after that is like $1 refills or something like that. If u have a CF pass u can add a drink plan for $34.99 which will include coke o cola products, as well as iccee and hot chocolate or coffee during the colder months.
Just to add on, visits to all the cedar fair parks requires the add on of the all park passport. Which is the additional fee of around 90 dollars to the gold pass.
You rarely need a Fast Pass at Kings Island except weekends. As somebody who has visited about 140 times to this park over 5 years I just cant see outside some very busy days in late June or July.
I get a fast lane wristband because I am 3bl hours away and love to ride as much as possible so it is well worth it, especially for riding Mystic Timbers, The Beast and Orion. The Racer and also Adventure Express.
The fast pass is $135 as of May 25, 2024. $30 for parking($40 closer to the door). $46 all day premium dining pass(every 90 minutes) and drinks(every 15 minutes).
Two hours early entry for prestige? Can you show where that is advertised? I see that there is a separate entrance line for prestige pass holders for two hours every day but that isn’t the same as getting in two hours early. That just means you have your own line. I’m a new prestige pass holder this year, formerly platinum and previously it was an hour early entry before KI whittled it down to just a half hour.
According to the rep I just spoke with on the phone literally within the last couple of minutes, she said early entry is only a half hour, regardless of what pass you have. The biggest advantage to prestige is that there is a separate entry line for Prestige Passholders that is open for two hours once the park opens, just as you stated.
@@BlackCloud0351thx. I also would not be getting to the park at 8am. That will all but guarantee you sitting in your parked car outside the parking lot for a half hour to an hour until they open the gates to the tollbooth.
@@KoasterMania yes and it says “preferred entrance” two hours daily, NOT early entrance for two hours before the park opens. This means Prestige pass holders get their own line for two hours. They don’t get in two hours early. That’s insane.
Disneyland is not $500 its $159 which is still super expensive tho I got the Season Gold with the passport to visit all cedar fair parks this summer or 5 parks.
Do they keep the queue line of the beast open until 10pm? I understand it goes down for fireworks but I don't want to miss a night ride in case they close the queue early.
Get in line before 10. They will place a cone, trash can, an employee, or chain off the line behind you to block anyone else from getting in line after 10. As long as you are in line by 10, you get to ride 😁. I've grown up with season passes on and off again, and the Beast is the best night ride! Bonus if it's slightly chilly/fall weather.
The only hotel on Kings Island Drive is The Great Wolf Lodge. All of the other hotels mentioned in the video are located north over the I-71 bridge just off of Kings Mills Road (A.K.A. Route 741).
In the app you can purchase one for the day (everything that has fast pass) or visit some guest services locations (ticket booth before you get in, guest services locations just inside the pass/ticket scans to the right, and there's one to the left of the entrance under the guest services tent close to grain and grill if you're heading towards Invertigo and Banshee)
Not even on the most expensive day of the year, (christmas) is it ever even close to $500. It's ok to promote Kings Island, but don't spread misinformation at Disney's expense. Also....KI couldn't even begin to compare to the experience one could have at a Disney park. 😉
I will never ever go back to KI. It's a corporate trash park. Cedar Fair completely ruined it. KI is not the same as it was which is sad because the BEAST is there and I'm sure it's a matter of time before they ruin that. KI is dead and I will never ever go back 😢
Wow. Sorry you had a bad experience. KI is a great park and one of my favorites. We made the 9 plus hour round trip every year or so. We’ll be there again this Friday.
