Long time Wings fan here 30+ years. Kane has been wonderful for the organization. He's helped bring in new talent like Tarasenko. Happy he's on our side and he's fun to watch. His Chicago OT goal was awesome. Hopefully he can stay healthy. Look forward to watching him all season.
He fits in nicely with Detroit for sure. Those playoff goals with Chicago were electric!
This dude became my favorite player when he became a Wing. I couldn’t be more excited for this season. I believe he will have another 90 point season. Thank you Kaner you look so damn good in that jersey. One of a kind player, the way he keeps the puck on his stick while being so close to the opposition opens up so much ice for a sauce pass. Let’s go Wings!
He is an absolute stud for sure
The rangers blaming Kane for a first round exit when he was near point per game and severely injured is wild. That man stood n his one hip for ya’ll.
Glad we got him here in Detroit now 😊
Seemed a little wild that he took the blame but when your such an amazing talent that can happen, he’s great with the wings though so enjoy the season!
I wish he would still be a rangers i thought that we would already have this damn cup if we had him
How'd I think he was going to do coming off the surgery?
To paraphrase my massively downvoted reddit comment from that offseason, "all I can say is count Patrick Kane out at your own peril. If anyone's going to come back from this surgery, it's him. His determination is something to behold."
Hockey fans aren't prepared for what he might do after a full offseason of actual training. Imo he's got a couple more >point/game seasons left in him
I agree he is still competing at a high level and I see no reason why he wont be a point per game player at least over the next two to three years
he's gonna light it up this year. book it.
Already booked
As a Hawks hater I always hated Kane and Toews (and company) but gotta respect these players. Kane is just so good that a card of him as a kid in the 1990's made it Turgeons most valuable card.
They were must watch hockey in the 2010s!
Very freaking happy that Patrick Kane is still with Detroit this season!
Yessir 🤝
I remember him scoring against the black hawks and everyone cheered for him. It was crazy!
Was an amazing game, couldn’t write a better story if you tried
There was another Hawk player who wasn't too bad at ice hockey during the period the Hawks and Kane were winning again. His name was Marián Hossa. He spent a year with the Red Wings and dropped in 40 goals as they lost to Pittsburgh in the 2009 SC Finals. He left Detroit and signed a long term contract with the Hawks beginning in the 2009-2010 season. The first year of the Salary Cap Era (Detroit couldn't afford him anymore) and so he signed a long term contract with the Hawks. Hossa unfortunarely came down with a rare (and incurable as it turned out) skin disease and had to call it quits before his time unfortunately. He scored a total of 525 goals in his career. Not a bad tally at all!
Hossa was a great player, in many ways an ideal hockey player, but his role on the dynasty Hawks now tends to get overstated bc his retirement happened to coincide w the team collapsing. But a lot of other things also happened to coincide w the collapse. Hoss was not on the Hawks in the first year of the dynasty when they went to the WCF. And his goal scoring during the playoffs was generally very low w them, he stepped down in role while certain others (Kane the biggest one) stepped up w the goal scoring every playoffs.
But yea - Hossa was Cup chasing when he signed that deal w the Hawks. He didn't make them a Cup contender, he signed w them bc they already were one. He picked the right horse.
Hossa is my all time favorite player, he was really a 2nd captain on that Hawks Cup teams. Miss watching him play.
Rooting for him as a HAWKS fan.. Red Wings.... not so much when they play us (HAWKS)
Respect
Just coming back from this kind of hip injury is a demi-miracle. Not many have the WILL to go through that kind of pain and sacrifice, especially after a HOF career and 3 Cups. The fire in the belly is deep with this one.
💪
Lol! Almost a ppg player even after the surgery and his game has "regressed". He'll be like Sakic and Selanne, could play into his 40s and still be super productive. He was born to be an NHL living legend.
Facts, dude is an absolute beauty and will most likely be super productive until he decides to retire
Another solid video bro. I like how you showed what the hip surgery is like. Something different and informative. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed the video🙏🏻
If your team needs one goal in a big game , this is your man 💯💯.
Only facts here💪
those that were calling him washed last year must feel like idiots now lol after scoring nearly a point per game in the games he played last season
He’s going to have a great season this year. Can’t wait
@@pattacconehe is washed
@@davidkruse4030 I thought so but he was pretty good last year , should be interesting
He proved a lot of people wrong last year for sure
Certainly sets a new baseline for recovery on hip resurfacing. I know Jovanovski was kind of the only valid example and it cast a lot of doubts about Kane's ability to come back - but Jovo was already 37 with substantially harder miles on his body. Its good intel to know that this surgery isn't necessarily a career ender on its own, and that dedicated athletes who work their hardest have a chance to return to form.
Truly inspiring when you think about it. Just shows you that hard work and determination is one of the best virtues a player can have
As a Wild fan, I hated this dude for so long. 😂 just hated that he was so good and we got smoked by Chicago every year. Now I love him, so pumped to see him play in Detroit. His hands are NUTS. Heck of a player, loaded with skill, and still has time left to play. All the best to him.
Great comment, Wild will be a fun hockey team this year, playoff hockey is gonna be back in Minnesota
@@jimmyhockey I hope so haha! I also don’t want to get my hopes too high 😂
Kane was the 1st overall pick in 2007 not 2008 lol
Such a huge miss on a video focusing on one guy. Get the year right.
Btw a career high of 26 in 70 games for a 3rd overall pick does not equate to a hidden gem
Who’s the shortest NHL-HoF American born hockey player ever?
Should have retired a Blackhawk.
32 goals 49 apples incoming
Solid prediction
Kane is where he belongs. I may have hated him with every fiber of my being, but not anymore. LGRW!
🤝
Go wings!
Go wings
The results of surgery gets better the more times it's done.
Not completely true, it’s a case by case thing
@@jimmyhockey New procedures generally get better results over time. Ever see a cartoon with someone with one end of a string tied around a doorknob and the other end tied around their tooth?. Sure it's case by case but things improve over time. Like the fact we're communicating with a smart phone.
