Jordan you are amazing the trail you follow here in Arizona is the same path manny famous movie stars have stumbled over tumble weeds.Long story short the movie "Charro" was filmed at Apacheland Az. I happen to be chosen to portray the body that walks across the set as a townsmen and appear in different scenes during a pleasant warm day on the set. For three weeks I was privileged to walk and talk to manny stars appearing in the movie Charro with Elvis Presley. I have fond memories, one is a treasure the moments spent chatting with the King himself. I received 10 signatures from Elvis, but because I was there and my friends were there on the line I gave those autographs to ea one of them and I was left with none. But I have pictures of myself and Elvis, Victor French,Wishbone Paul Brinegar and manny others. No glory here but IAM so delighted with the same path you have chosen to tell about Arizona. Thank you so mush for your visit. Rudy Flores.
I LOVED the Elvis Charro Church! Great work as always!!!
That meal looked fantastic...............great job Jordan !
really cool place , great elvis stuff
Aamzing vlog
Cool 😀
Great Vlog, Jordan!!! The church is AWESOME! with all of the posters! And Elvis looked that he was ready to ROCK! I wished that Elvis would of stayed around just a little bit longer than he did, THERE'S GOLD IN 'EM HILLS! All around very awesome!
This was an amazing vlog!
Hey Jordan!! Phenomenal travel series!! And now we need a Jah fix please!! Lol!
You can sure turn lemons into lemonade. I love your stories.
Enjoyed the whole road trip. Great vlogs! Thanks.
Yes this is a great stop and check out the artifacts from a long ago era... so exciting!! Loved this travel vlog today... thanks Jordan for taking us along!! So take care, safe travels🌼🌺🌸🥗🛸🦄🍦🧁🥪🌻🌻🌻👩🏻💻
Fun video, Jordan! Thank you for all the hard work and great presentations!
Very interesting place. You never know what you will find. Enjoyed the travels and the stories. Charon was also a movie I haven't seen in a long time. Elvis was great in that movie. Thank you
Very cool! Charro was my first Elvis movie... and my fave! So happy Elvis got to show off his chops without having to sing! Wish there could've been more like it
Such a great find!
When I was growing up my grandma used to live just a few miles down the road from Apache land Studios I remember going there all the time as a kid
Great vlog!!! I like all the Elvis movies but Charro is in the top three for sure. My Dad loved Tom Mix and also Tex Ritter. My dad was actually friends with Tex Ritter when Tex worked in radio in Nashville and played in the movie Nashville Rebel with Waylon Jennings.
A shout out to Tom Mix, Elvis Presley and the great Waylon Jennings all in the same Vlog. Cool job Jordan.
You ended up right where you were supposed to! Plans change for a reason!! 😁❤
Great vlog Jordan I like how your a die hard Elvis fan like myself and enjoy your vlogs about the king even more the the others this makes me wonder what the movie would of been like if they never changed it either way I loved the film
Great Road trip. Thumbs up!
There is a small restaurant near the Superstition Mt Museum where Elvis would frequently eat during filming. They still have the booth that he always sat in & now anyone can eat at the Elvis booth.
Great Job
You are awesome at rolling with changes in schedules. I have a Tom Mix pocket knife. I have to go watch Charro now. One I have not seen. You continue to find cool stuff all over the place. Thanks Jordan.
Cool vlog Jordan!
Been to the Tom Mix memorial, and Apache Junction. My dad and I also visited Old Tucson Studios. We were proud to walk in John Wayne's footsteps.
Good job can't wate for the next road trip.
Your welcome! Thanks for the good work!
Great road trip! It just ended too soon. Thanks!
Great Stuff.
Thanks for another great vlog. It's been like old home week for me. We used to hike and camp in the Superstitions, and go tubing down the Verde River. Spent many weekends tracking down clues to find the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine! Too bad you couldn't get to Old Tucson, that's a great place. If you ever get a chance check out Tortilla Flats - it's cool there also. Thanks for giving me my memories back. Glad you made it home safe!
Your alternative travel plans are a blast! Tom Mix was my beloved paternal grandmother’s favorite cowboy. My treat was seeing all the surviving props at Apacheland. Through you Waylon lives on.
Looked up John Pickard. He was an American actor who was primarily in movie & TV westerns. On August 4, 1993, Pickard, at the age of 80, was killed by a bull on the family farm in Rutherford County, Tennessee. Looked up his photo and he is one of those character actors you recognize the face right away.
Another homerun Jordan a very awesome vlog Arizona looks awesome
I liked this vlog very much, Jordan...anything with ANYTHING to do with ELVIS and I'm good! Loved the scenery, and the places you showed us. Am I missing something, but at the end of the vlog you said there was one more place you wanted to show us, but then YOU DIDN'T! (unless it was your apartment....lol) Thanks so much. Love that you're always so happy and smiling. It gives us a great start to our days, or in this case, a nice ending to it.
I enjoy your travels! Thanks for sharing. Have you done a video on Bugsy Siegel and his Hollywood connection?
Thank you we livel about ten miles from here
Wonderful vlog Jordan. I loved every second of the road trip. My mum and I never heard of this Elvis movie we will need to watch it. We loved the movie set town. The BBQ looked delicious. Thank you Jordan for your hard work. I hope you manage to have afew days off with the Jahster
Jordan next time you're in the area you should see Florence AZ where they filmed Murphy's Romance with Sally Field and James Garner...great movie from the 80s ;)
Tom Mix' Cord Supercharged 812 Phaeton was purchased by collector Bob White of Phoenix, and restored to perfection, as Mix would have had it in the day. He spent $600K making it that way.
Mix was heading from Tucson to Florence at night because it was cooler then, and outran his headlights. As someone pointed out his metal suitcase behind him was thrown forward on impact, striking the back of his head and killing him. Saw the car at Amelia Island, and it is magnificent.
My dad always spoke of meeting Mix on a public appearance here in Sarasota when he was a kid. A true Legend In His Own Time!
Hey Jordan, I just started watching Charro. Thanks "my old pal" ..I will be looking for the church and barn.
Stopped there at Tom Mix Monument many times. Cool drive through my old hometown, Florence, AZ. Worked at one of the prisons there too! I've eaten at Bobby Q's and been to Mr. Lucky's quite a few times. You were so close to Coolidge which has a lot of Waylon Jennings history. Check my post to you from yesterday. Thanks for keeping Waylon's memory alive!
My Dad was a big Tom Mix fan. My horse was named after his horse Tony .
Hi , Never been to Apache land, but I went out to Old Tucson movie location back in 1979, It was really Cool.
The suitcase that killed Tom Mix is here on display in Oklahoma. It wasn't too far from where you were when you visited.
A suitcase killed him?
Growing up my mom told me it was a suitcase full of coins that hit him in the back of the head and killed him.
So sorry that Tucson was a bust, but it happens (ASU fans will nod and LOL). Hopefully on your next trip out you’ll be able to see the movie ranch.
Happy you got to try Bobby-Q’s! Too funny, was just there yesterday!
That place IS good, my friends live directly across the highway from that place and you can smell it cooking from there!
Goldfield in fun also
I live in Tucson! Would have been neat to see you!!! ♥️
Well....I guess I have to watch charro today! Thanks jordan!
You should check out 1880's town in SD
And how great a name is "Patsy Montana?" Love it.
Hey you were pretty darn close to the lost dutchman mine! So they never did find it the gold of the lost mine. Nice vlog about Elvis. I never knew that place was there about when I lived in Phoenix going to trade school.
Loved this impromptu vlog, Jordan. You never disappoint. I remember when Sam Elliott (I think) was narrating the Tombstone movie starring Kurt Russell and he mentions how one of the poll bearers was Tom Mix who wept bitterly in losing his friend Wyatt Earp. Superstitious Mountain & Apacheland we’re also a great stop along with that delicious BBQ meal at Bobby Q’s. ❤️😋
I luv watching your Videos but when there's anything with Elvis in it I'm so definitely watching!
Wow, Jordan another awesome vlog sweet man! I adore Elvis and never knew that information about the movie...So cool, so thank you for that and making me want some barbecue! lol Keep on keeping on & God bless you.. :)
at the end elvis rode off with victor french and the cannon
What a treat today's vlog was Jordan!
What an interesting tour, lots to learn about at Apacheland, stops along the way, Thank you Jordan.
Great Jordan. As a fellow fan of Elvis I love this. But watch you vlogs every-time I get in from work and they are always very positive.
Charro is my favorite Elvis movie. This was really neat to see. Great vlog👍🏻😎
sweet video Jordan
Hi Jordan, beautiful scenery once again, I really could just watch a vlog of you driving through these places. What a nice little memorial to Tom Mix. How nice was that church and the interior. I do like ghost towns, no matter how small they are. Nice there are a few props left from Apacheland Studios, you can just imagine all the old stars filming there. Fabulous old Hollywood star photos aswell. Great vlog Jordan.
Great backup to the backup plan Jordan! Fun Vlog!
This show and a cup of coffee, best way to wake up :) Old Tucson is awesome no matter what.
Amazing road trip, enjoyed every moment of it! I had forgot about Apache land, so thanks for that.
Jordan I really have a deeper appreciation for the road trips and traveling you do for all us! Thank you so much. I'm home too, but part of my heart has been left behind in my travels.
Thank God your home safe👍. Today's vlog is exceptional. Loved every bit of it. Elvis was the sexiest cowboy🤗. That is so awesome about Bobby. Hope he gets ahold of you real soon. The food made me so hungry.. ..yum. ALMOST 80,000 SUBSCRIBERS!!!! FANTASTIC🕺🕺🕺👏👏👏. Much love to you and Jah❤❤❤
Great vlog on Elvis. Youre always well informed. I love listening to you. Love the ghost town. Keep Rockin 💕💛💕
Thanks Jordan for all the driving again you are bringing us more movie history you are a great guide and I am glad you are having a fun time please rest up and safe driving love the BOQ Lots of Love Marie Dublin Ireland
Lovely vlog as always ! Thank you Jordan ! :-)
Another excellent Wild West video Jordan !
Jordan, I am so thankful that you posted this vlog. My parents had a winter residence in Mesa, Arizona for years and the Superstition Mountains were down the road a ways. We could see them clearly from our yard. I keep a small painting I have of them in my room. It was so great seeing the area again and hearing about the movie and seeing the props. Safe travels.
Sorry you couldn't go to the places you want to. You made a great vlog anyway. The food at Bobby Q's looked good and I hope Bob gets in contact with you. Would love to hear stories about Waylon. Loved the church from Charro. You never know when your're going to run into Elvis. Glad you are safely at home. Thanks for the wonderful road trip vlogs. I have enjoyed them. Safe Travels and Take Care.
Welcome to Tucson Jordan old Tucson studios closed down the county owns it now there is a second old Tucson in mescal Arizona keep the shows coming in
Tom Mix’s death car was in The Imperial Palace for years.....
Thanks Jordan, you went far out of your way to make sure we got another amazing vlog...😎
Bobby Q's is about a mile away from Metrocenter where they filmed the mall scene in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
Where is that awesome property...I’ll buy it!
Jordan, Thank you for this vlog. I thought Charro was an awesome movie. One of my favorite 😍🥰 Elvis Movies. Wonderful Job
Thanks
I’ve never seen the movie charro. My husband is an Elvis tribute artist.
Hi Jordan, what an interesting vlog, loved it. 😊
Oh Jordan! My mom loved Tom Mix she would put her hair up in a ponytail when she was a kid and play Tom Mix. We’re in OKC and the National Cowboy Hall of Fame is here. There’s a whole Tom Mix exhibit. 💓
Wow. I was born in the town Florence you drove thru. You are in Pinal county where my grandpa was sheriff in the 70’s. You would like tortilla flats. Have blast in AZ. WOULD LOVE A MEET UP.
No Tex Whitington right before
Tom m ix was a pall bearer at Wyatt Earp s funeral
Great vlog Jordan and thank you for TCB as usual... Love to you and the Jah-ster XO
if you are in Phoenix and get in a BIND on locations give me a shout ! Love your stuff VLOG ON !
That was an awesome trip you went on. Love looking at what was left of Apacheland.
If your still here I could show you filming locations for "Alice doesn't live here anymore, White line fever, and the boarding house where John Dillinger was captured.
In Tucson you could have visited a great historical architectural site: San Xavier del Bac Mission Church. Maybe next time. Did also enjoy your "Plan C" vlog though.
Jordan. Please slow down. There is so much to see. I wish u had taken a little more time showing some of old West. I'm a huge fan. Esp. The horse drawn equipment. I have been a riding instructor and owned horses since I was little....got to meet Gene Autry once many years ago when he owned California Angels Baseball team.
This is a good one, Jordan. Anything Elvis for me. I enjoyed the whole informative video though!!!
Yeah I'm really familiar with the studios and a 5:25 pache junction, I lived near AJ in Mesa off of princess drive. Real close to the base of the superstition mountains very familiar with Florence My brother spent 10 years in Florence " twice " LOL! Apache movie ranch was already in serious trouble back in the late '90s it really couldn't be used as a movie ranch anymore and became a dilapidated tourist trap. There were too many homes in the area that impeded filming any types of westerns. Plus nearby was a new tourist attraction called goldfield mining town that was far superior. It was neat while it lasted though and I'm glad the church and Barn survived. I had also taken a trip to Old Tucson before it burned also. Good times but you would definitely want to get a tetanus shot after visiting😂
My son isnamed Aaron. That is the correct spelling. Period.....
Actually, most fans and Elvis' favorite movie was King Creole.
I got you for free Q-rolls for life lol!
Is the old tucson movie set is still around in fact I think it looks a hell of alot better now then when I visited it way back in the 1970s. ya know they could have rebuilt that movie set also but there is no money in it obviously.
Welcome home Jordan👍😉. Time for a face-lickn' Jah attack 👅👅🐾!! Wonderful vlog today 👍🏜. So many hidden "💎" out there to see. Thanks for being willing to be so flexable and changing up your itinerary when need. Rest up 🛌 and I 👀 forward to see tomorrow's vlog 👍 🙏.
I haven’t Been on in a While, Were is Jah?
I live a few miles from Old Tucson Studios....they are always closed during the whole month of September due to them getting ready for "Nightfall" It's their version of a haunted old west town.
