The store there told me they will begin sectioning off parts of Bedrock City and converting over to a Birds Of Prey theme little by little with the intentions of having it complete by spring 2020
That is sad noooo that is sad
Yaba daba do we love you lol
U gotta go back and blog there or film after..see the b4 and after..but this looks pretty cool..where's it at??
Birds of Prey as in the comic book/movie superhero? Still is a shame, but while I have never been there given how dead it clearly is I can't really blame them for wanting to re-model it. I would think roadside attractions like that are pretty much dead, but who knows.
you prolly dont care but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my gf for the last couple of months =)
I'm old! LOL. I used to watch the Flinstones when the episodes were new in prime time. Geez!
me too lol
Kevin Still me too.
me too
The Flintstones: aka The animated Honeymooners.
Yes 😂
I always loved the Flintstones! One of the best cartoons of all time! I didn’t even know an attraction like this existed and without you, I never would have gotten a peek at it. Thank you!
I grew up watching Flintstones right after school every day. How sad that it’s closing. I’m so glad you stopped! It is totally a place I would have stopped myself. This vlog put a smile on my face today.
I also grew up watching The Flintstones along with many other Hanna Barbera cartoons on Saturday mornings in the 70's. So sad to hear that the attraction will be closing. But on a happy note, MeTV is bringing The Flintstones to their line up starting on September 30th at 6PM. So excited to see that!
This is the first I've heard of the Flintstones back on broadcast TV. I'll make a note of it. Thanks!
@@msr1116 You are welcome!
@@revealandreview9662 I'm gonna venture out and say no they probably don't.
This brings me back to my childhood! I love the Flintstones and watched them everyday!!!!
Great vlog, Jordan. Thanks for recording this for posterity. Flintstones was my favorite cartoon too. We used to watch it at home as a family on prime time TV. My Opthalmologist operated on Mr Barbera’s eyes and gave him an autographed Fred Flintstone sketch. How awesome is that❣️❤️🙏🏻🌵
Something about this place reminds me of the old drive in-movies lots.
💋How could anyone not love the Flintstones!? It’s so adorable and especially a part of the cartoons I watched as a kid while eating the cereal Fruity Pebbles. Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, Smurfs.... thanks for sharing this too. Blessings and Safe travels. ~L&L 💖Carli
This was terrific Jordan! I'm so glad you were able to see it and capture it before it was gone! I am incredibly old and I remember clearly when The Flintstones first appeared on TV. It feels like yesterday that my dad called my sister and I over to his chair, where he was reading the newspaper. He had just found an item in the paper about this brand new cartoon that was going to be broadcast in the early evening. It was the first animated show ever scheduled for what is now called "prime time". I remember my dad reading the article out loud to us and as it described the cartoon and the characters, he started laughing. When my dad found something to be funny he would start laughing and then it would grow to the point where he was laughing so hard that tears would run down his face. And this was just from reading about the show! He was as excited about seeing the first show as we were! There were only Fred and WIlma and Barney and Betty, and Dino of course. No kids for another couple of years. I was 10 when that first show came on and was (obviously) far too grown up and sophisticated to watch it by the time the kids came along! It was really funny when guest stars came on. I'll never forget their excitement when the great film star Ann Margrock came to town! I'm glad to hear that it's coming back on! I'm 69 now and not a bit too old for it!
Mamie Bobb..We used to watch Flintstones as a family too. Great memories. ❤️🙏🏻Yabadabadoo!
There's a house off I-280 in Hillsborough within the SF Bay Area that locals call "The Flintstone House". It has changed quite a bit, but I still can't help but sing the Flintstone's theme song every time I see it when crossing the Crystal Springs bridge.
I just had a big cheezy grin for the whole of this presentation, brought back some fun childhood memories. Great job once again Jordan.
What an awesome find! Yes I totally enjoyed this! I loved the Flintstones growing up and they recreated it beautifully! So glad you stopped to show this! Thank you!
Stopped there a couple of years ago. We had breakfast and then wandered around the park. Also, grew up with the Flintstones. A great stop near the Grand Canyon! It did need some upkeep, but it was a lot of fun.
The Flintstones were my favorite! So glad you got to do this video before it closed. I enjoyed it!
I haven't been there for years. It used to be in much better condition. I used to play there for 2 to 3 hours when my parents were taking our family on vacation. Too bad its going away. Thanks Jordan for letting us see it one more time:)
Places like this are a form of art, in my opinion. I have to wonder about the person that created all of it and the fun they must have had putting it together. Thank you for taking the time to memorialize it!
My family drove cross country in 1975 and we stopped here, I was seven years old. This was quite a popular attraction back in its day. None of the houses were bright colors though, they were just shades of gray and beige, stone colored. They had actors dressed in Fred and Barney costumes that walked around, and the gift shop was Flintstones heaven! Sadly, I only have one photo of my trip there, of me sitting in Fred's car. So sad this roadside attraction is going the way of the dinosaur. RIP Bedrock City.
Hannah Barbara RULEZ!!!!! That was so awesome man!!! Brought me back to waking up early on Saturday mornings when I was a kid. Did not wake up early for school days. Just for Saturday!!!! Yes I was born in ‘75-long live GenX!!!
That was so much fun Jordan! OMG, great memories...Fred & Barney off to Water Buffalo meetings, visits from the Great Gazoo, Mr Slate at the quarry, such fun! Imagine that place full of visitors, lots of happy! Thanks Jordan, great vlog!
My boyfriend and I went there this summer. I always wanted to go there. So happy I got to see it before it closed.
Thank you for sharing before it closed down. Made me smile.
**SIPPIN' ON MY MORNING CACTUS JUICE 🥤WHAT A HOOT JORDAN THANKS! SUCH A TRIP DOWN MY CHILDHOOD LANE. THE FLINTSTONES ARE A TREASURE 💖📺 REMEMBER THE NEIGHBOUR'S FONDLY CALLED: "THE GRUESOMES" ☠** It's a shame I never got to visit there. Especially now that it'll be gone 😢 Here in Canada 🇨🇦 We have our own Flintstone Theme Park. **You coming down the slide saying: "Yabba Dabba Doo" was everything** Gotta kick out of watching you laugh & giggle. It looks great on you 👍😀 GREAT JOB on putting out all these during this road trip. Marks the 8th vid of yours, in a row. That I just pulled an all nighter binge watching.
I went there when I was a kid. Should have been about 78. I remember my little brother did nothing but cry. He was 7.
Darren Holt ha ha I also went there in 78. I pushed my sister off the slide and she also cried the whole time.
Darren Holt I did not know this park was here in the 70’s,Wow.
Wow! That's amazing! I was 8 years old when The Flintstones came on TV. Every Friday night we were glued to the TV! So cute!
Still catching up on blogs after being away on vacation. I am so happy you captured this iconic roadside attraction just in the nick of time! Enjoyed every bit of it! Thank you Jordan!
Hi Jordan, I liked the outside table with Fred's umbrella, and how funny were the bones marking the roadway. I just love it when I hear you getting excited about an attraction that you like when you are going around. I was chuckling at the Hair Salon and when I saw 'Pebbles' and 'Bambam'. Nothing wrong with being a big kid, I AM ASWELL, and, if the truth be told, I think we all are really in some parts of our life. Great vlog Jordan.
Great slide. Children today are not familiar with the Flintstones. The next attraction will probably include super heroes. Thanks for showing us before another treasure is lost.
You brought a lot of my childhood memories to life! As a young child my cousin and I (he was a few weeks older) both got a Flintstones play set as toys for Christmas (my Birthday and I'll turn 66 this year). It had a plastic mat that had the roads and grass printed on it and came with "stone" houses and buildings, palm trees, the cars, some animals and the main characters. I played with it for hours. Thanks for the vlog and the memories!
Very sorry to hear it’s closing. I went to the one that used to be in British Columbia, Canada a couple of times as a child. That one closed about 30 years ago though.
JORDAN THAT WAS INCREDIBLE! That literally brought me to tears. The Flintstones by far was my favorite show as a kid. This video made me remember how I'd ride my bike around imagining I was in the Flintstones car! I hold that show so close to my heart. If I had any idea there was an actual Bedrock amusement park, I'd have visited it years ago! That show was one of the brightest spots of a lonely, painful youth. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GOING THERE AND MAKING THIS VIDEO.
.
Loved, loved, loved the Flintstones growing up, as did all my friends. That was one cartoon the adults enjoyed, along with the kids. Had no idea this place existed. Thanks for the tour. I hate to think of the structures being torn down.
Heck yes! The Flintstones was my jam as a kid and still, this would be a dream come true for me lol. Thank you for the great content as always your doing an awesome job!
I went as a kid but also went back two years ago. I heard it was closed early in the year so I didn't try to see when I was in Flagstaff back in April, wish I did now. Cool Place.
What a blast Jordan vlogging this place, you going down the slide what fun!!!! Flintstones was a fav in my house growing up. Big thank you Jordan :)
There's a place I know where the hep cat's go ....in Bedrock twitch Twitch 🦕🏜🎶 I really loved this one ! Thanks Jordan 🦁💙
Lol☺️👍 love it
I remember when I was watching them for the first time (and the same with Star Trek ). I remember going to see the full length feature film of the Flintstones in the theatres with my grandmother
I'm a huge Flintstones fan! I was there when I was a little kid and it was the best thing ever! Thanks for the memories - this was an awesome vlog!
I still remember that grand Pooba episode Too bad they are shutting this down. In Northern California during the early 80s , we had santas village and frontier village ... 🕶👍
Go-go Akins Also, "Lost World." One of their dinosaurs was taken and put on the roof of my high school for the senior prank back in '79.
This VLOG series has been just terrific! You have been hitting a lot of my old stomping grounds. Arizona, Nevada, Southern California... WOW. This caused us to dig out some of our old VHS tapes this weekend and take a walk down memory lane. As always thank you for taking us along! 😎
Great upload! Mom used to always bring us as kids on the way to the Grand Canyon. I had the pleasure of revisiting this beauty earlier this year when they announced that it was closing.. definitely gonna miss this place !
Because of you...my husband and I went there today on our way back from Williams, Arizona! Loved it!!! Thanks for the amazing idea!!!
I grandparents had a Flintstone Set I played with each time I visited. I loved it. This place put some effort into building this set.
I just got home and found that I missed the live stream, but found the vlog on Bedrock City. I grew up on watching the Flintstone's. I am with you Jordan, Hanna Barbara all the way! I read about this place in a roadside attractions book years ago. I thought it was closed. Glad we were able to see it "IN PERSON" through DAZE. Thanks Jordan, that was awesome. It's like being inside the Flintstones movie. Another awesome place we get to see through the travel vlogs!
My first two color TV shows were Ponderosa with the fire coming out of the map, and The Flintstones!!! LOVED them and the color!!
This is such an awesome vlog! My family and I were out there last year for Easter. When I was younger my parents used to take my siblings and I every summer before going out to the Grand Canyon. I tried to carry on the tradition with my children. So many wonderful memories. The area that has a movie screen used to play Flintstones cartoons and the phone in the phone operator area had a huge bone as the receiver. It’s going to be sad to see this place go. Thank you, Jordan, for sharing this with us!
When I was a kid I had a tabletop cardboard Flintstone house & cardboard car I use to play with. To me that was the greatest thing.
I passed by here twice back in April Dang! I should have stopped
Yabba Dab a Do....I thank you ! That was fun.
When I was a kid, this show was new lol
I loved it so much that I have a Flintstone's CD of all their songs from the shows.
..and who wouldn't want to get off work by sliding down a dinosaur's tail? lol
Thanks Jordan, too cool! 💯
This was so much fun 😃😃😃. I am quite a bit older than you, Hannah Barbera cartoons were the best. I remember Saturday mornings watching so many, they were my favorite. And I remember when Kings Island in Mason Ohio (being from the Dayton area, Jordan, I know you know this place well) was in it's early days Hannah Barbera was the park theme. Thanks so much for sharing.
Loved the tour of Bedrock City, Jordan. The hair dryer was my favorite item. 😊 So glad you were able to come here before it closed permanently.
I remember going to this with my parents at about three years old. I’ve always wanted to see it again. Thank you for this vlog!
I’m so pleased you got to see Bedrock! I had thought it was closed for several months, so happy it stayed open this summer! EPIC!
I too grew up with the flintstones. Brings back good memories. Awesome show & awesome little town of Bedrock.
Thanx Jordon.
Wow, that was so great! I loved this show as a kid and would spend hours drawing the characters, so I really enjoyed seeing all the art here. Well done.
I was there in 1976 as a kid. I still have a pic of me setting in the Flinstones car that sat by the big sign.
They did a beautiful job! Sadly I will never see it. But very happy I feel like I just visited the beautiful town of Bedrock! Thank you!!!!!! I had a yabba dabba doo time!! 😊😊
I remember there was one in South Dakota where the Mt Rashmore back when I was a kid 40yrs ago
I love the Flintstone's. This was great fun. Sorry to hear they are closing this. Love all the houses and places we get to see. That slide looked like fun too. I never would have seen this if it wasn't for you vloging it. Thanks for giving us a chance to see it before it's gone. Thank you for all the fun road vlogs lately. I haven't been feeling well lately and these have helped to make me feel a little better. Safe Travels and Take Care.
Gosh, so remembering stopping there as a little girl many years ago on a family vacation(couple of decades older then you!). REALLY sorry to see it going away 😥. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Jordan! Another fantastic vlog my friend 😺. Safe travels always to you 😉.
I love Flintstones my cousin want there when they were kids in the early 80's
Wow,really
,5 dollars cheap , a streal
Now that was a very fun attraction! I very much remember of watching the Flintstones on TV after school. and after the Flintstones, was the Jetson's! Pure Classic Cartoons! I hope this place doesn't get torn down!
Wow I remember going there as a kid an I'm 54 now have some great family photos
One of your best vlogs, have seen Bedrock covered by others but I think yours is the most complete. Great job.
Love this! I remember visiting that place when I was a kid! Sad to see it go. Thanks for showcasing it before it's gone for good.
Drove by this place about three years ago on the way to the Grand Canyon. Stopped at a restaurant across the street from it. Went to one that I think is located in Wyoming back in the summer of 1988. I did come back the the Grand Canyon this past July, but we took the train from Williams, Az and the train does not pass this The Flintstones Park.
A chunk of childhood! Thanks for sharing Jordan. I would have been so amazed as a kid to have seen this.
Didn't even know this existed! What fun!
I have some great memories of this place as a child! I do think it’s had it’s time, but I will miss it!
Awesome, you became a kid again, and we merrily went along for the journey!
I went there but the store was closed. I liked it. Nice surprise and good Indian product stands nearby.
What fun !.. I loved The Flintstones!!.. I even wanted to live in the cartoon !.. Thank You, Jordan!!
OMG!!!!!!!
I was just telling someone that recently!!!!!!!
I wanted a Pebble doll so badly. My mother did buy me a second rate one eventually.
I guess us kids with overactive imaginations thought it was real enough.
Always felt bad at the end when he threw the cat out at night, being a cat lover.
A kid version of the Honeymooners show.
A local toy store had a toy version of Bedrock for sale. Did you ever see that as a kid? I wanted that badly too. Too expensive. I could only pine over it whenever we went in that store.
Those were the days!!
Seeing that and your enthusiasm is priceless! Love it and the Flintstone's!
Thank You very much, Jordan!
I just saw this and want to thank you for this visit. Brought back some good travel memories.
What a great vlog brings all child's members back what a great show always look forward to it and Jordan you are having a good time thanks for all your hard work and bringing us along Love Jordan and all Lionheart's Marie Dublin Ireland
My father cruelly drove by this spot on a million childhood trips to Disneyland in the 70s, despite great begging on my part, and I was always waay more curious about the Flinstones than dumb old Disney - thank YOU for taking me there, finally!
The Flintstones Was the Best! And the Sky that Day was Breathtaking Beautiful (Minus the Rainclouds) Almost like a Painting 💜🧡
Im totally with you on the love for Hannah Barbarah and I watched TBS after school! Thank u for sharing! Another great one!
Great vlog as usual Jordan-thanks. I used to love (and still do) the Flintstone's too as a kid. As a matter of fact in junior high we had a very old history teacher (well past the age of retirement, she taught my dad) who asked the class one day who watched the Flintstones. Most of the class put their hands up and she said for homework I'd like you to go home and watch them and record all the "prehistoric" things they do. I remember writing using the bird's beak as a record needle, the concrete wheels on the vehicles. I guess this explains how well how tax dollars were spent even back then. The class was entertaining if not much else. Awe sometimes I wish I was still in school-they truly were the good old days!
Nice to see you enjoying this place...one of my favorites to watch while growing up! Thanks Jordan! 🙃😄😏
Fun fun fun. One of my favorite childhood cartoons!
You are such a big kid and that's what I like about you. You make your Vlogs so much fun. You take me back to being a kid again and that's going way back. Thanks for the fun
Wow... what a fun vlog today, Jordan!! Who doesn’t love the Flintstones?? My Mom would not allow us kids to watch tv more than an hour a day. (Boo!) I always thought it was cruel and unusual punishment but we lived through it. And we had to take care of our pets, so we always had chores. Well I loved the picture of the Flintstone’s Doctor ha ha ha... very cute! Thanks for today’s travel vlog, Jordan. I appreciate your effort to create this vlog and for bringing us along. So take care, & safe travels🌼🌸🌺🦁❤️🧁🍦🍎🍭
I still Love watching the Flintstones !! Thank You Jordan , that was very enjoyable. I’ll never get over there to see it in time so , I got to see it through your eyes & camera lens . Loves to Jah 😘💋💋💋💋🥰
Grew up on Flintstones, awesome! Thanks. Keep thinking of the John Candy scene on the bus in trains planes, and automobiles, Hahahaha! Also John Goodman playing Fred in the Flintstones movie. Thanks Jordan!
That’s my type of attraction. Wanted to make a trip there when I was in ca a few years ago but didn’t make it. Hearing it’s closing is sad but this video gave me the closest I’ll get to a walkthrough. Unfortunately kids these days don’t appreciate things like this.
I love the Flintstones but don't think I knew of this place. Awesome!
Love The Flinstones! I can remember when they came on once a week in the evening.
I thoroughly enjoyed.
Had no idea this existed. When I was a kid , there was no cable, just 7 channels
This is so awesome, I bet back in the day it was even more fun with more things there and functioning. It looks like it might of had a concession stand or restaurant with the picnic tables around. It would be fun to even bring a lunch and sit at one of the houses tables like you are eating in their home... yes I am even a bigger kid but what a cute idea.
and I am more of a Hanna Barbera lover than Disney myself, my era for sure
I got to go to the Bedrock City in South Dakota, when I was a kid! It was a total blast! I know it’s closed now too, though. 😢
I went here once but it was closing. Really enjoyed your video of it. I enjoy your videos and feel like I am there too.
I so loved the Flintstones!!! Thanks so much for sharing this!!
Awesome Flintstone Hate To See That Go. I Grow Up Watch Flintstone I Was Kid And Thank you Filming There
What a devastating loss. I hope they sell the pieces so it can be re-created. I, too, was a Hanna Barbara kid and I loved the Flintstones.
The Flintstones? What a great find!!! Love this❤❤. You come up with some really cool ideas to visit. Thank you!!! Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤🦁. Be safe
I love the Flintstones! Thank you for sharing💗😊
That was fun to watch Jordan! Great job! Fun roadside attraction.
great vlog loved the Flintstones shame its closing love your vlogs they are so varied
