- Why did God choose the Old Testament festival of Shavuot (Hebrew name) or Pentecost (Greek name) to pour out his Holy Spirit? Why that day? If everyone understood Peter’s sermon, why was that preceded by the disciples preaching in a variety of other languages? How does the Spirit-Wind-Breath of God in the Old Testament prepare us for what he did at Pentecost? In what way is this event the anti-Babel moment that also signals the Messianic exodus? I agree that in Acts 2:1 it should read fulfilled instead of come. The KJV it reads "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place."

I’m unclear on something here… if only the 11 were in a ‘house’ when the Holy Spirit came upon them, who were they speaking to in the ‘languages’ they were given? Who were the ones who heard each in their own language? Thanks 🙏🏼
Acts 2 doesn't say what day of the week it falls on
TRUE shavuot is ALWAYS the 4th month 28th /29th(a sabbath) and the HEAD of month 5
Well friend there must be two counts to feast of covenants /feast of weeks /Shavuot. because you or me cannot plant summer wheat in ABIB and expect it to be ready in the 3rd month or NOT? ~~ " Are there not 4 months and then cometh harvest?"And the flax and the barley were smitten, for the barley was in the head and the flax was in bud.
32But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten, for they were late crops.' (NOT ready in the SPRING) not a wise farmer you are
SHAVOUT or Pentecost full come is 7 weeks after 1st fruits PLUS 50 days! Leaving off 2 counts would be removing scripture of Lev 23:16.
The Feast of Weeks
Lev 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
Lev 23:16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
This year on Gods Sun/moon/Stars 2024 = 8.18.24
Full moon h3677 is psalm 81:3 the start of every month.
4.24.24 was ABIB 1
5.8.24 was Passover
5.9.24 abib 16 ( 1st fruits) + 7 weeks = June 29
Then number 50 days = 8.18.24 ! = SHAVOUT THE 50th day!!!
2520 days from rev 12 astronomical sign ( moon at feet sun on shoulder in Virgo) 9.24.17
The 7th year is ending for the bride who will receive her glorified body reward - those left ( Trib saints) will receive double portion. To refine by Fire. On the same day! The 50th day of Pentecost will be dually fulfilled❤ this year.
EZA 7:9 confirms this count which began in the 7th year for us in Babylon in 1st mo began and ends on the 5th full moon on 8.18.24 going up to Jerusalem by the hand of God!! Eza 7:9
