Romans 13:9 KJV Bible 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
My husband and I started out with cheating on his wife. I didn't follow Jesus correctly at the time. I did tell him I would only be with him if he divorced his wife and he did. Are we living in sin on purpose since the way we started was by adultery?
We have to receive the grace of God in our presently broken situation. In your case, you both broke the covenant of marriage, but now it is most likely unreasonable to think all the wrongs can be undone or corrected. It is not so simple as returning stolen goods. You obviously are aware of your error. Find grace in God as you confess your sins and with the grace of God continue to follow a better path in your present marriage than you did in the past.
In Mark 10:11 there is no exception clause. "And he said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her". So I understand that Jesus is not siding with the school of Shamai but along with the spirit of Matthew 5 is intensifying the meaning of the law. I think it is reasonable to understand that Jesus is meaning by pornea (zanah) illegal marriages such as incestuous ones like King Herod. Or like when Ezra forced the men to put away their foreign wives. Jesus is therefore saying there is no excuse, except for the illegal marriage which is by law void anyway. This might also parallel the decision in Acts 15 when the council requested the gentile believers to refrain from pornea, which should be obvious unless referring specifically to the forbidden union laws of the Leviticus together with the laws about blood and that polluted by idols (meat?)
“The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.” Was Jesus speaking in anger when he said these words? Interested in your thoughts!
Mood is always a challenge to determine. What I hear, instead of anger, is sadness over what Judas will do. A broken heart rather than a burning countenance.
So, when Paul declared: _“Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I offended at all”_ (Acts 25:8) he was being self-righteous, was he?

You shall have no other gods before Me (Ex. 20:3). Unfortunately you can't keep the first commandment. So what idols do you have in your life? Knowledge, power, pride? C'mon tell me. What turns you on? Or maybe you are subject to the Greek and Roman pantheons?
Let's get this straight now and out of the way! The so called exception clause in Matthew is not unfaithfulness in marriage. Matthew is writing to a "Jewish" audience. This clause is not found in the Gospel of Luke. Deuteronomy 22 makes it very clear that this is dealing with the accusation against Mary in the Incarnation of the LORD! Any other reason other than no blood on the sheets the night of a man's wedding is not a clause of exception. Any man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery! Period!
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth (Ex. 20:4). Thank you!

Why do Lutheran churches have graven images in their churches? Isn’t a statue of Jesus a graven image?
www.1517.org/articles/are-images-of-jesus-a-violation-of-the-commandments
Why do evangelical churches have crosses andnativity scenes?
Noahs time didn't need these?
That was a really good one. Got me thinking
When someone insists that they can keep the 10 Commandments, they have truly become self-righteous.
Why self righteous? So it ok to murder?
So, when Paul declared:
_“Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I offended at all”_ (Acts 25:8)
he was being self-righteous, was he?
My God is the Holy Lord,Ruler of Sabbath. God of order and not the god of lawlessness.

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Whose commandments? Jesus's.
@@educational4434 Yes, Jesus's commandments are also the Father's commandments and the Holy Ghost's commandments.
@@stophatin1354 Exactly! If we practice (aka "keep") Jesus's commands we are practicing the commands given to him from the Father!
@@educational4434 What point are u trying to make?
@@stophatin1354 That the laws we are under and the commandments we are to keep are not the Mosaic law/Mosaic covenant, but rather the commandments from Jesus, because those are updated and full commandments from God the Father for those who are part of the new covenant. And anyone who joins the new covenant is thereby not under the Mosaic law/Mosaic covenant (though gentiles were never under the conditional covenant called the Mosaic covenant)
You shall have no other gods before Me (Ex. 20:3). Unfortunately you can't keep the first commandment. So what idols do you have in your life? Knowledge, power, pride? C'mon tell me. What turns you on? Or maybe you are subject to the Greek and Roman pantheons?
I want to know what you mean. What's behind this statement? Do you know something that I don't?
Speak!
20:4). Unfotunately again, you can't keep it. So are you kissing wooden crosses? Or drinking holy water? Or are you embracing the heliocentric-tilted poles-spinning ball-earth? Worshiping the creation more than the Creator? Bowing down before female godesses? C'mon tell me. What makes you tick?

Can't keep them if you refer to your messiah as jesus! That's the name of the beast in this era.
"Jesus" is not the name of the beast. help.1517.org/knowledge/jesus-or-yeshua-is-it-wrong-to-call-him-jesus
@@chadbird1517 I've been at this for 35+ years. Yeshua is a verb. Come on now!
Jesus is not even his true name that his Father gave him or his mother. Who are we actually worshipping? That what really scary 🤔. He said in Matt 7:23 depart from me i never knew you. Are we called on a different person? We know a person by their names why aren’t we called on his name not some transliteration name.
