Honestly, this dude is an amazing teacher. Best trick tip videos I've seen on youtube yet, just because of how he explains everything and demonstrates it in the videos with the slow and frozen motion. Amazing! Thank you!!
This guy is a clear candidate for a Longboard version of sorts tutorial as opposed to Aaron Kyro's "Skateboarding made Simple" series. Great vids keep em comin!
Hey everyone! Thanks for the views, comments, and likes! It's awesome to see that this is helping some of you. I see a lot of questions about my setup - I'm riding the Comet/Wheelbase board (there was a limited release of these at one point years ago, I forget the name), 44 Calibers, and 70mm, 80a CS Raceforms with Riptide Chubby/Barrel Bushings.
I think you guys are great with the trick tips. you go really in depth and people can learn a lot. keep 'em coming. I just think you should make them a little more often.
this is literally the best trick tip i've ever seen. i just got these slides down and had i have seen this video months ago i would have gotten them a fuck ton sooner. you gain a subscriber man. please make more trick tips. pretty sure your gonna do toesides next lol
Amazing videos! You actually break it down and explain in a logical matter how what you do on your board influences what happens with your board. Cheers!
It's my favourite out of a whole bunch of boards I've tried, great all-rounder. You can slide, bomb, dance or freestyle on it and the micro drop means less stress on your ankle when pushing but not so much that it can have kicktails
Man, I've just watched your 2 trip tips videos, and they are the best I've seen on RUclips for those tricks so far. Keep on doing that with other tricks please !
+Nick Camacho start a carve to the right if you are goofy, but left if you are regular, after put 60% of your weight on your front foot, kick out your back foot and bend your knees to keep your balance. Hope I helped!
Don't know if you have a had this answered for you yet, but yeah, the dervish is fairly large for you, for a freeride deck anyway. I'd suggest the Landyachtz Switchblade 36 for you, and set it up with some Bear Grizzly 852s, and Abec 11 Flashbacks! You can flip the Bear hangers, whether you want some Freeride and some carving, or a downhill truck. If you want a topmount, LY also makes a topmount DH/Freeride deck called the Top Speed, and it comes in 2 sizes.
Well im not sure if this tip works on drop through boards but one thing that helped me learn was putting my foot over the truck, it makes it a lot easier to slide the board when your learning. (helps when youre trying it switch too) but these slides wont slow you down as much as a regular stand up slide so you should use this as a stepping stone to learning slides.
The loaded website says the dervish is one of their best for sliding. My friend just learned to stand up slide today on his dervish and it has a soft flex.
Amazing in-depth guides to longboadring tricks! I have a request for a tutorial on stand-up toeside slide 180. I have been getting the 180 down, but always putting my gloves on the ground. Please help! Thank You
Awesome in-depth tutorial! I'm trying to get these down right now. You mention how important it is to have proper foot placement and weight on the board. I'm pretty small 5ft- 95lbs and it's been difficult getting a comfortable stance on my dervish for sliding. Is the board a little bit too big? I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks!
A Loaded Dervish? I have one and it is 43" long. Which I would imagine to be quite big for someone who is only 5 feet. But maybe you are a kid and have grown into it since 9 years ago...
Thanks ur help me how learn for a slide and i will still training everyday with in my school with my longboard and my friend with me training a slide too :P
Would This be harder or more dangerous with gullwing sidewinder trucks since they are double stacked? should i invest in new trucks before trying stand up tricks, i mean i can push up and coleman pretty easily
When I 've finished doing the 180 I sometimes find myself leant to far back on my board, which always ends up with me on the floor and my board rolling down the hill. Have you got any advice?
Hi, I have a very large problem. Whenever I try to initiate the slide I end up just carving and my wheels don't break traction. It feels as if the board is almost too heavy with me standing on it to push out. Any tips? I've been longboarding for more than 6 months and I can only toeside hands down and toeside standup, and the heelside standup has really been getting me down.
So I've been practicing my heel-side 180's for about 2 weeks or so. I am starting in a tall bent over position, but once I initiate the slide I instantly fall to where my butt is around my upper calf area. I don't understand why I am compressing my legs once the slide initiates instead of decompressing. I can already do sit-down 180's so maybe it's just become a habbit of mine to do that?
Wait are top mounted boards easier to do stand ups on?? Cuz everyone uses them for this and I thought drop through boards had more lateral force and less grip!!!???? Please respond
I can't kick it out, nothing happens when I kick even when I do a set up carve and put weight on my front foot. I've done it once a couple days ago and I didn't lean back at all so I just got flung forward, and I can't do it again. I have a drop through board, is that not good for doing standees?
i can get the slide out no problem, but i get it around to 180 really fast (i cant stop that at the moment) and then my board flies out from under me and ends up either going down the road or hitting the side of the road :( can you please help??
Anyone have an idea why his boards wheels come off the ground so easily at the beginning? I ask cause my comet takeover does that same thing and it's bugging me. Would it be the bushings being to restrictive(hard)?
Really wish people knew that falling is a big part of boarding and learning etc., even the pros fall!, rather than thinking "oh he's fallen he must suck"
you are the best coach that i've come across on youtube. you have a gift for conveying the technique. keep it up man

the intro of your vid built my confidence a lot

Best stand up slide tutorial on youtube
Man, I've just watched your 2 trip tips videos, and they are the best I've seen on RUclips for those tricks so far. Keep on doing that with other tricks please !
Very helpful, much better than most slide instructional videos. Thanks!
This is the most helpful one I've seen for me, thank u!
After 4 days of practice i can do perfect standy now today nice video thanks men
We want more videos teaching slidess!! You are great!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I popped a small heelside stand up slide in less than in hour, you earned a sub!
Really enjoy your videos. Trying to build up the courage to pull off the standies but I still freak out and bail every time.
+Nick Camacho start a carve to the right if you are goofy, but left if you are regular, after put 60% of your weight on your front foot, kick out your back foot and bend your knees to keep your balance.
Hope I helped!
you make the best trick tip videos
This is the most helpful video out there.

Awesome vid, I always come to you for trick tips but YOU NEED TO MAKE THEM MORE OFTEN!
Amazing video man! Helped me get sliding down, thanks so much!
Thanks so much amazing tutorial! I can only do the 90 but not 180 but I'm gonna try!
Maybe you need to throw your shoulders as well? Allows look in the direction you want to go when you end the slide
Yep i just learnt a 180 heel thanks to this video :P
exactly , an amazing teacher really:),thanks
Thanks gona try this after school tomorrow!
when are you guys coming out with another tut, these are great :D!
It would be nice if you could make a How to on toeside checks, predrifts and handsdown slides.
No problem dude, happy to help!
awesome video but does truck tightness have any effect on the slide at all?
Wow thank you! This is was really helpful! I really appreciate it!
I hope this helps me learn!!! time to go out and try it!

you should do a toeside 180 and toe-check vid, also i learnt this slide in a day or so, very helpful
Yo, Do you recommend trying a coleman slide first? Before i try this.
Or if i rather learn this, i should try this right away?! thanks
you have the most tightened trucks in the northern hemisphere...
Thanks a lot man trying this out on my new sector nine from 2020 btw
Nice video and helpful for me...
Thanks for the videos!
Thanks ur help me how learn for a slide and i will still training everyday with in my school with my longboard and my friend with me training a slide too :P
great video man
I finally did it! Thanks dude!!
what weel is he using
You guys should really do a trick tip for toeside 180's
Thanks man you really helped!
Thanks this really worked!
well yeah i know the stability depends on me but the platform and efc can make a difference. thanks heaps though!
well, the stability depends on you, not the deck. As for agility, it's very agile and quite fun for carving, with its 27" wheelbase.
How much speed do you need to pull this off?
So good 🙏👌

im thinking of getting this board. how is it? how agile and stable is it?
I did it thanks for the vid helped alot
Wait are top mounted boards easier to do stand ups on?? Cuz everyone uses them for this and I thought drop through boards had more lateral force and less grip!!!???? Please respond
Are those s9's? 70mm sharp lip?
And also i am trying to do my switch 180's in toeside to be able to learn to do a 360 after
I can't kick it out, nothing happens when I kick even when I do a set up carve and put weight on my front foot. I've done it once a couple days ago and I didn't lean back at all so I just got flung forward, and I can't do it again. I have a drop through board, is that not good for doing standees?
You should really start uploading again!!!
When ever i try to slide heelside, it seems like i always just spin in a circle with like no slide at all....is that a 180 slide?
Dang, you're sliding like a boss on square lip wheels I see?
How many times do you think I will have to wipe out to get this slide? I can't do any slides but I surf
Is that a bushing in your hardware
hey should i learn to healside standup speed check or 180? which one is easier to learn first?
What deck were u riding???
i dont know what im doing wrong but every time i try this i fly off the back of the board and the board goes soaring. how do i correct myself?
Great video. The only thing that could be better was the quality.
Yeah, I didn't even know about it until I did some research after my friend tried learning on it. Personally don't like the overly flexy boards myself
I have the 180's down regular but switch i can't do them at the low speed that i could do a
180 in regular stance any tips ?
What trick should you learn after this?
i can get the slide out no problem, but i get it around to 180 really fast (i cant stop that at the moment) and then my board flies out from under me and ends up either going down the road or hitting the side of the road :(
can you please help??
is that a tutone mega i see?
what board r u riding
THANKS
what wheels does he use?
@chill561 Thanks! I will try!
Nice
what is that board?
Why hello good sir, nice profile picture ;)
Anyone have an idea why his boards wheels come off the ground so easily at the beginning? I ask cause my comet takeover does that same thing and it's bugging me. Would it be the bushings being to restrictive(hard)?
what board is that? Someone please tell me!!!
what board?
Comet wheelbase?
I know, and I didn't say my friend was big or that Loaded say it's the best for big people.
Does anyone have any tips for me? I get to the 180 but my back foot flies forward off the board and I just run it off. Please help!!!
Any Chance you could do trick tip for Toesides?
Really wish people knew that falling is a big part of boarding and learning etc., even the pros fall!, rather than thinking "oh he's fallen he must suck"
thanks man :)
the dervish is a little too flexy for learning to slide.. you want a board that is stiffer and a little bit shorter.. like a 36 inch board!
What board is that?
I think it may be the sector 9 arrow idk just guessing
I can pull off regular 180s not switch though. I think this vid just changed that
