I'm digging this, I picked up longboarding a couple months back, it had been years since I skated anything but I figured it was a great way to get off my butt and get active. I have a ton of hills where I live so learning to slide is crucial to stop from hitting nasty spots in the road that would just swallow my wheels otherwise. Thanks for the video, imma check out your other longboard dancing vids now too.
I would, but I've got no real good hills with toeside corners on them. Also not so great with predrifts, due to the lack of toeside corners here. 🤷♂️ Maybe next time I take a trip, I'll try to shoot a video for this.
I’d say about 60-70% of my weight is on my arm, depending on how fast I want to stop. Adding more weight to the wheels slows you down faster, but you have to be mindful of gripping up too hard, and high siding.
@@howdarylrolls ohh ok awesome thank you, many tutorials say all the weight in in the front leg but I could never make sense of it when it looks like people are putting a lot of weight on it
@@joshualong5390 they might just be talking about the weight distribution between front and back feet, but forgetting to mention the hand to foot weight distribution.
Very informative!! So stylish!
Really, it was actually watchable? I still feel like going back and re doing it, but I just had to let it go cause it was driving me crazy. Lol 😅
@@howdarylrolls nah man, this was awesome! Just what I needed! Thanks!

Thanks man, glad I could help! I probably would’ve never got off the couch myself, had it not been for longboarding.
I love your breakdown, very helpful!
Nice breakdown!
Thanks
Could you do another one for toeside predrifts please?

Wow
Is most of your weight in the front foot or arm? It looks like most of the weight is on your arm

It feels like your hand but it's still mostly in the foot.
