So awesome to see a fellow resident of Africa who's into downhill longboarding. Love here from South Africa, longboarding here doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
Wassup man! (Might be easier to slide in the rain btw, just give your wheels a spin after riding (and an hour after too) and they'll be fine). Sliding in the rain is a great way to learn how to slide
Thanks a lot for this mate, I went out first session and got the slide down. I am going to practice this for a while and then look at some pendulum slides. Great guide, all your points are spot on
Yes I know I skipped Step 9! I was a bit confused with what I was suggesting people do, and in the examples I was predrifting with two hands instead of doing a push-up slide (check out the random examples at the end) ... so I decided to skip it. I think I'll skip it altogether and just move on to pendies next.
Hi! during my first few attempts I was flying off and doing more sliding with my body than the board haha, but now I got the push up slide down, just the problem is that I keep accidentally doing a 180 without wanting to. Any more advice to prevent the accidental 180? fantastic videos by the way!
Hello from Georgia, USA just north of Atlanta. Your videos and website are great, thank you 🙏. At 9:28 mark I noticed tripod handle in the frame... do you have a cameraman/friend filming or is it some kind of tracking auto-pan magic tech setup?
Is weight on one hand (Coleman and one arm pendulum toeside) 10-20? And for push-up is 70% on hand? How do you get comfortable putting weight on the glove, I feel like I’m going to break my shoulders when I start putting weight on my palm
Excellent tutorial! Step by step progression plainly laid out. This will get people sliding. I gotta say I love the woman carrying her dog.
Ahaha, one thing I love about the 360 cam is you get to see all the dodgy looks people give. So funny watching it back
Thank you for another great step by step tutorial, with lots of examples. You are the best!
i love this shit....its so detailed !!!!!

Much love bro! Yeah it doesn't which is unfortunate, but working hard to make it accessible for all
@@downhill254skate tell me, where did you order your board from? I'm guessing there's no board stores in your area.
Great tutorial Abuga. Can you do one on riding Switch? I never practice that enough and think it's a skill which pushes your skills.
Great, so helpful, thank you!!
These videos are an invaluable resource for a new skater. Thanks, man!

Ooh on the outtakes, several times seeing shadow of the tripod but no human shadow...
I have a 360 cam! I do the tracking thing in post production

Yes. Considfer doing push ups to build some upper body strength. You can also weight the board more as well
Can longboards go uphill?
👍🇵🇱👋
