@ Very happy that you enjoy my videos. Magni hasn’t had too many feats since he hasn’t been in many battles. His most notable feat is with Mjölnir participating in the battle with Desak the Godslayer and he was able to do land some decent blows on him, but definitely wasn’t going to win that fight on his own. Desak was considered by Thor and Loki to be a threat equal to the Celestials so that’s pretty impressive. With Mjölnir, he’s probably close to where his father was at a very young age.

Awesome recap as always. Thanks for bringing up the power scaling issue as that was just ridiculous. I’m like no way GG could’ve turned Odin to stone. It would’ve been laughable as Odin told him “Nay” and turned the spell back upon him.
Ewing fails to powerscaling because he's writing symbolism first, which is how you go from Thor overpowering Zeus to getting suckerpunched by a bunch of silver age c-listers. This is even put into the text a few times this run with everything that happened with Roxxon Thor and the aftermath.
good to have you back Thor Talk. honestly when Al Ewing made Enchantress seem like a possible love interest for Thor again i honestly thought they were gonna bring back Magni naturally, but the actually bring back OG Magni by rewriting Fate is something i didnt see coming. i feel like Magni is going to replace Thor on the Avengers, as Thor by the end of this run(if we believe Ewing's words in interviews) will be at a whole new level of power that he cant be part of the main Marvel stories going foward.

Great video and commentary, and great news! The stories of Thor leading up to Disassembled were fantastic. A funny note, in the early 90s when DBZ came out with Broli, I always called him "Son of Thor" because I thought that fit, and my DBZ buddies used the same mantle/name just when I was around haha. Magni here is impressive in his own right - and I hope his appearance is longer term :)
@@ThorTalk Another thought is Magni could make a nice addition to the (new) Thor Corps. He has wielded Mjolnir, and fills in for the "alternate future timeline guy" spot Dargo had :D
I think it would have been better if Ewing wrote an issue or two showing how the Gods of Midgard gained this new power up BEFORE the issue where they defeated Thor.
Definitely would have helped. We only get some vague statements about them being stronger and I assume we’ll see that at some point. Though unless the Utgard gods are brought in though, I can’t see the upgrade being sufficient to do that to Thor

Question about last issue. So flying is now part of Thors base abilities? Or is it the Odin force? I would figure being a storm god he can just control wind like storm. I always figured that he didn’t need the hammer, but everyone is so hell-bent on it. Any opinions would be welcome. Have a great day everyone!
@@Ultimate32126 In movies, especially. In the comics, the situation wouldn't have changed if Jason Aaron was still writing the character. In Donny Cates' run and now in Immortal Thor you can see Thor flying without the hammer (on a few occasions, but it's better than nothing)

After Thor ordered Amora to speak Iric's name as the son she wanted returned, she went on a tangent and Thor seemingly.... forgot(?) to actually enforce his order. @@ThorTalk technically he doesn't actually have the power of Zeus. well HE HAS IT but he is not actively using it. i know he absorbed his power but it corrupted him. that's why he turned it into a belt. i should clarify. what i mean is that he is not actively wielding the power of Zeus since he locked it away. so he's still just thor with the Odinforce, until we see what that belt is for.

the way the axe hangs on his belt is a bit dangerous as it will cut his arm off if he isn't mindful of it. should be stowed better at the back or just be drawn with the blade pointing backward. just a thought.

Hulk has two sons actually. Twins conceived on Sakaar: Skaar and the less famous Hiro-Kala. Loved the Reigning arc so I’m also excited for Magni
