Debbie Sunlight actually there is a market for this. this item is obviously a resort & luxury product not a diy project. 8 out of 10 luxury resorts ive visited or even those i’ve just seen pictures of have some sort of hanging bedframe / sofa / hammock contraption. it would also fit into an avant garde / minimalist luxury home where it hangs in a corner as a statement piece not really to sit on. however i have to say seeing that she isnt a known designer 1000£ is quite a bit for this design. 300-400£ would probably be more reasonable. if she was famous at 1000£ people would buy it. if she isnt know then for 1000£ it would need to come with a frame, or a different design that incorporates a frame, either in metal or wood.
Company was voluntarily struck off (owners decided to stop working on it) in 2018 after making a trading profit of £2100 in 2017. It made about £4000 in 2016 and £8000 in the two years prior, meaning it looks to have been profitable but not enough. Certainly never enough to pay back a £54000 investment.
She should sell them for a 10th of the price, especially considering nothing about that is protected by IP laws (nor is even original) and uses materials and labour about 1/50th the £995 ticket price. You can't buy some chain and canvas, attach it together with mass produced components then ask for an amount equal to a whole year of most people's living expenses.

What pitchers often don't understand is that they don't need to worry about having the money to be able to fulfill a big order; if she gets an order signed the banks will throw money at her. She doesn't need a dragon, she just needs to make a sale.
I quite like the concept. They look like they'd be very cosy and comfortable to sit in. My two main reservations would be that once they're in place, they're not easily moved. One of the advantages of a sofa is that it's easy to rearrange them if you want a change. Not so easy to do, when moving a Le Beanok requires you to dismantle the attachments, fill in the holes in the ceiling and drill new holes. My second issue is the aesthetic of the chains. They look a bit too S&M. I see those chains and half expect to see Pinhead swinging in the Le Beanok attached to them.

Bafflingly, she tried to market this as a gaming chair and a sofa for special needs. Lady, I'm not special needs and even I can't use that thing. It looks miserable to clamber in and out of, and you can't even have a coffee table with it!
Can you imagine trying to host company with those things? "Welcome everyone! Please, have a seat. Oh it's easy to get in, here, you just swing your leg over and...yes, that's it, now the other one...oh, be careful! Are you hurt? Here, let me help...hold on, stop kicking...ok, now you gotta sort of twist your body the other way...no no, the OTHER way....give me your foot, you're a bit tangled...no, your butt's supposed to be facing the other direction...now just put your arm over that side and pull yourself up...ah! There we go. Comfy, right? By the way, I hope you all ate and drank before coming over, cuz there isn't really any way to hold a cup or set a plate down in here. Now, isn't this fun?"
@@WobblesandBeanany gamer worth their salt would NEVER want these things. When the game gets serious you can’t get up and do the “focused” pose (if you know you know). Relaxing doesn’t always lend well to tough challenges in gaming.
She be like: "Hello, dragons. I would like you to invest in my product. It's a hard to install hammock for the price of a used car."
I do like the product but it's definitely expensive.
I think 150-250 pounds would be a suitable price range.
I agree....Nothing over 150 actually
They are still in business. Their small one seems to go for 250 pounds and the bigger one for 350, so at least their prices are a bit more reasonable.
@@Inepressiera that's a much decent price range.
Kudos to her for still being in business!
Well the company went bust (obviously), so you can get a cut price one on Ebay for about 250. In my opinion, it doesn't look very comfortable if there's more than one person on it.
@@rolirolster lol obviously 😁😁😁
What do you do when you want to rearrange your living room? Get out the drill and eye hooks?
Getting on and off would be difficult. Dangerous for children. You couldn’t see anything much laying in a bean bag facing the ceiling. It would be a nightmare trying to have a snack or a drink on it because of reaching a table . Who would attach it to the joists. Etc etc bThere is was no market for it at all.
And if anyone ever actually bought one, imagine the personal injury lawsuits when people start dropping out of these things

£1000 for a bean bag?? is it made of unicorn leather???
Yes, and stuffed with pegasus down feathers.
I've installed one of these in my car. It's wonderful to drive around in.
Does it help you see the flow signals?
With that attitude I expected her to say:"What do you mean you're not investing? Can I speak to your manager."
A strong frame would have helped with the demo at the studio.
thought the same myself.
So glad that the voice over guy is there to tell me what I just literally watched a second after watching it

A £15 quilt cover stuffed with polystyrene beads, £30 of chain from B and Q.
That'll be £1000 cheers?
Her: "My target market is the young people who are moving out of home"
"How much is it?"
Her: "£900"
...I'm sorry? 🤣
and after spending £900, we need to find a joiner who can do work in the roof to securely hang this trampolines from.
The idea is that the parents want them out so badly, they will gladly give them cash to buy furniture that hangs from the ceiling.
Seren_ dipitous yeah cuz we suddenly have that in our pocket
“I would like to get it of the ground”
😂😂😂😂😂
she's still selling them lol but at a third of the price
I think all that remains is the website!

🔴 And with the company being worth a massive £15,000 it finally went bankrupt 2 years ago with every employee resigning a year before leading up to the company going under.

Oops
We had an old table we found by a skip and brown taped a mattress to it. That was our sofa when we were students.
What pitchers often don't understand is that they don't need to worry about having the money to be able to fulfill a big order; if she gets an order signed the banks will throw money at her. She doesn't need a dragon, she just needs to make a sale.
Anyone els search the products immediately after the video to see how they’re doing or even exist?
I quite like the concept. They look like they'd be very cosy and comfortable to sit in.
My two main reservations would be that once they're in place, they're not easily moved. One of the advantages of a sofa is that it's easy to rearrange them if you want a change. Not so easy to do, when moving a Le Beanok requires you to dismantle the attachments, fill in the holes in the ceiling and drill new holes.
My second issue is the aesthetic of the chains. They look a bit too S&M. I see those chains and half expect to see Pinhead swinging in the Le Beanok attached to them.
@Cee Dub619cameraman True, true. (Chain) swings and roundabouts.
"Just because you rush to judgment and miss all the good opportunities doesn't mean I have to...Having said that, I'm not going to invest."
