She didn't. She was the operations manager of an ATM company owned by Bank of Scotland which she deliberately ran into the ground so the share price plummeted and she could buy it at a fraction of what it was worth and then sold it once the price recovered. She's not an entrepreneur, or an investor. She's just a crook.

@HistoryandTutorials She's not that much older than the woman pitching, so by your logic, the owner of the brand also doesn't know what is and isn't quirky, thus it probably isn't that quirky at all. However, don't let the fact that someone is older make you think you they don't know about trends and so-called "quirkiness." In my town there's a very successful club which frequently hosts art exhibitions and events, various music nights, performance pieces etc and it has won multiple awards for being the most interesting venue, best live experience, etc. and is always noted for its "quirky" and charming taste, and the crowd it usually attracts are young and stylish, hosting and also attracting many eccentric yet talented artists and performers... yet this club is solely owned, ran and curated by a 60-odd-year-old. She has led such a colourful and fun life and knows what trends work and don't. She also has an eclectic taste in music and art and knows how to tap into "modern" trends yet also brings in a lot of influence from the 70s, 80, and 90s. A lot of older people have experience and have lived through the same trends that crop up now. Even with new technology, it can be honed in by older people. Also, we are talking about f-ing porridge/seeds, I don't think there's exactly a lot of quirkiness in it, tbh.

Wrong. They have a 12k valuation with negative 27k working capital. They have yet to turn a profit with losses growing each year. An award means nothing.
The company is making a small loss and not selling as much as they want. Is that not why they want the Dragons to help them? if they were selling loads and raking the money in why would they want the Dragons? the Z on the end of the name is not a factor, it just shows how out of touch Debz is. I seriously think 40k for 20% is a steal for any of the Dragons and all they have to do is open a few doors so that the company can make money and start expanding.
