I just bought an azlanii, and it is as pink as the photos but mostly under direct light. nonetheless it is very mesmerizing, one of the most beautiful plants I have ever seen. I am so grateful to have this plant in my collection

Me too! My first alo was a silver dragon I rotted but after that I now have two nebula imperialis, a variegated frydek, a buuunch of silver dragons now and so many more 😂 It may or may not be an addiction now
I scored an azlanii at my local Lowes. They are very hard to find even still. The veins really are that pink with a very dark green background. They really do look that pink in real life, but especially if you take a flash photo of it then you really see the pink.
I currently have a Silver Dragon that keeps producing leaves for me, she’s so happy, and just absolutely stunning. And I also have a Black Velvet that is just as stubborn as I am, but she’s darling. I don’t think it was on the list, but I just love Alocasias! I also just ordered an Azlanii, and I am so effing excited to get her here with me!! I cannot wait, and from the pictures of the specific plant I bought, it looks super pinky in the veins. I just love plants with pink colors.💖 Subscribed btw
I have one of the Alocasia Azlanii, they really do look like that, although I must say the effect of that pink colouring is more obvious to see when you put strong light on them , so pictures of it always look a bit extra with the camera flash
I just bought a nebula today at the grocery store😂😂😂 I chopped 2 leaves, 2 are curled and 1 looks pretty good. I hope I can save it🤞🏼 Also I can confirm the azlanii is really that pink
My azlanii is still small - just 4 small leaves (one new in the making). It’s leaves are more a darker green kind of metallic and shiny looking with a smooth pink marbeling.
You’re just like Kaylee Ellen only with correct information. My azlanii looks just like the pic. If it’s too dark the leaves stay black. Al. infernalis are naturally that black but they stay small, but they are blacker than my Zz plants. You have to try Taro Mochi.
The reason as to why Alocasia maharani looks like the Alocasia rugosa (Melo) is that it’s a hybrid in which one parent is the Alocasia rugosa (Melo). Other parent is Alocasia reginula, in which probably the cv Black Velvet
I have a. azlanii 5 month and it is one of my most favourite plants. In the daylight it has dark green leaves, but when you shine with artificial light, pink veins appear.
Actually got two azlanii, as the guy I bought it from just gave me an extra baby. It really depends... the mature form looks pretty much like the google photos. the little one is not as glossy yet but still has pink veins.
I have so many alocasia at home. I have azlanii, zebrina, wentii, infernalis, cuprea, silver dragon, platinum dragon, black velvet, green velvet, microzzhiza varigata, melo, Hilo beauty, dragon scale, amazonica, pink dragon, Samar lance, Sinuata and Venusta. My last Wishlist will be jacklyn which recently comes available. I will get one. I collect also wide range of philodendrons, scindapsus, monstera and some anthurium.

There is very little hype about azlanii. I don’t get it. It’s the most stunning of all the jewels.

The leaves are really that pink! Azlanii is my favourite. Metallic iridescent pink. A worthy addition to any jewel alocasia collection

When I first started collecting houseplants, I wasn't really fond of alocasias. They have completely charmed me though because now I have 8 😅
