This past friday is when i first heard the track, I have been listening over and over and the more i listen the more i LOVE it. I cant wait to hear more.
me to mate, I stayed up all night listing to it watched the full concert 14 times so far, and its Linkin Park
Most ppl do not realize that without Emily Linkin Park would not start again. It was organic, they worked together even for a longer period of time. Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda really missed being together and being creative. She is also a songwriter, they hung out and it felt good and right, you can see in the live video that they are connected without that connection, i think Linkin Park would still be in retirement. So happy to see them being creative again and having a good time together to deliver us some new music!
Mike said they talked about changing the name, but as they worked with Emily (for years now) more and more they were all like "This is Linkin Park". To me Linkin Park is a band with 6 members, Chester and Rob were two of them. So yes it still is Linkin Park, they just "changed" in a way, like they always did, with their style, since their 3rd album. Since then everytime they released an album everybody was like "thats not Linkin Park anymore". So they are used to that kind of critics. I love this new chapter and i'm so happy for these guys that they are finally ready to keep going.
They didn't audition anyone. She has worked with the band for years. She organically won the job.

Dude, Mike Shinoda is a multi-genius. He created most of the artwork for all the LPs and his solo albums. Who is if he isn't a (painting/drawing) artist?
I actually cant believe the haters, Emily is not Chester, no one will ever be, if you are a Linkin Park fan you will no they evolve, and this is a general evolution, they didn't want a Chester Clone, so they evolved in a different way, I honestly hope I get to see them at the O2 in London
First: She's from Dead Sara. Look them up because they kick ass.
Second, turns out according to interviews with the band, there was no audition or tryouts or even plan. They just started hanging out and slowly making more and more music together until everyone in the band agreed she was going to be it. Mike says they didn't even know if it would be "Linkin Park" or anything like that. He said it just had to come about naturally or it wasn't worth doing. I think thats a good way to go about something like this.
And lastly, just a small note that she addressed out of the controversies on her IG page. Theres tons of articles out there about it, so anyone who wants to put in the effort to learn and treat her like an regular person instead of a celebrity that needs cancelling- can find out. I appreciate you not being one of those people and your open mind. Also your amusing circus music for giving your thoughts haha.

You should watch their interview with Zane Lowe as they talk about this process. She did not receive a call or an audition. She just played sessions with them over a couple years. Apparently there were several people who played in these sessions over time. Mike said that when Emily sang their songs, she was the only one that his brain allowed him to hear it as an LP song. During the live and interviews since, you can tell Mike is super proud of her and has a ton of confidence with her. He seems really ecstatic and I am happy for them. Personally, I love her sound and look forward to the new album. Mike also said the album would surprise people with how progressively hard it gets, paraphrasing as I don't remember his exact words.
They don't need to change anything. Fans need to change. Time to move on from what we lost. Really.
Chester was only one band member. I think people get to crazy over Chester. I think they made the right decision. I think she is awesome and who knows how popular she can become
She accepted a ''loosing battle'' , most of any decent singer would never even accept it because it's an out of the world pressure and mountain to climb and the entire way you will be compared to someone that is unique and it's unrealistic to expect someone to replace that , no one can fill up his shoes because no one will ever forget him, but me trying to be fair she is unique enough and this music specifically it was in a good way because the style fits on the musical genre that made LP famous ''Hybrid Theory'' , I also heard her singing ''numb'' live and obviously its not chester and never will be but still it was a refreshing surprise.
when she sang walking in your shoes, she almost broke down its nerves, Emily knows the spotlight she is under, and mainly nailed it, I hope I live long enough to see them again
I mean, she sang that's allready decided how they lose. The emptiness maschine shows allready how many people would react. I'm sure all of LP knew what would coming.

Emely have many years her own Band name is Dead Sara and she is an amazing Vocalist the the first tour stop 11 2h long she make a pefect amazing profomence 27 song perfect inkludet the song keys to the Kingdom and yes Live and she killing it.

Pantera issue is different, The Abbott Brothers not just started the band, they create almost all of their music And by having them gone just Phill and Rex its just not Pantera, on Linkin Park Shinoda and the rest still remain, same as with Static X
Only big difference is Wayne was the creative force behind Static-X's entire sound. He gets replaced in effigy becaus Tony Campos can't let Wayne die without making money off it and everyone loves it, but Linkin Park find a singer and drummer to complete their ensemble and everyone loses their shit.
