I'm so happy for you, Lilly! I remember my Holy Spirit baptism like it was yesterday, but it's been since July 4, 1974! My husband saw such a difference in me, he prayed to receive, and he has never been the same! It makes all the difference and no wonder Jesus said, "wait for it!" I pray everyone's hearts will be open to receive all that is available to us!

Lily I had a similar experience. I prayed the night before. I said Lord I will except any gift you have for me. The next morning I went to church, was worshiping, and I had my hands lifted up. All of a sudden, it was like a bolt of lightning hit me. It was intense energy and I started speaking in tongues. God is amazing!

Ive been watching your vlogs for months now... i am in the lowest of my low right now... i
Was diagnosed with diabetes just recently , had an infection on my feet and had debridement. I am at home recuperating and still trying to balance my self when standing up. Its been hard two weeks but watching your vlogs keeps me going... i am not that religious but when i watch you I feel God and his holy spirit. Thank you for being a tool and sharing Gods words! Hi Shelley, debridement? Just the word sounds painful. Can you please explain what it means. I am so sorry you are going through one of your lowest points in your life right now. I do understand being seriously ill because I am bed-bound with chronic illness which has left me basically disabled. so I understand what it's like to have something so serious happen to your body and not being able to live life the way you would like to. I just send you a lot of love and healing and I hope that you recover not only well but quickly. I am so glad you talked about the baptism of the holy Ghost . People are going to need that annoying with what is happening in the world today . I raise baptists They believe you get it when you get saved. Some may but I am here to tell you you have to ask for the Holy Ghost and speaking of tongue. That is God praying for you when you don't know what to pray . Your videos inspire you so much . I look for them every morning . Your husband is such a meek and kind man . See why you chose him . some people get the Holy Spirit before baptism some get it after but usually most people receive the Holy Spirit when they get saved, when I first got saved at age 9 I got the Holy Spirit and gift of speaking in tongues (the one where the Holy Spirit prays through you) but I went backsliding and when I came back I got the Holy Spirit but had to ask for the gift of tongues that time, some gifts of the spirit get given to use automatically, some we have to ask for like the gift of prophecy

Lilly I would like to share with you that it is my understanding that We were given many gifts through the Spirit of Christ. In saying this I have understood that we all don't have to speak in tongues we may have other gifts to behold, for instance some may have the gift of healing. I just don't want people to feel if they don't speak in tongues then they are as spiritual. God Blesses each and everyone of us who believe in his word. Many years ago I was very involved in the ministry for the kingdom of God .But later I stopped praying for the sick since I was not well myself. @@lillyhubbard I was raised in a Church of Christ and it's hard to unlearn what I've already been taught. They teach that those miracles/gifts were for unbeliever for that time in the bible. Today we have the bible and don't need those gifts today. BTW no musical instruments in the church either. Sing from the heart. Sounds silly to you but sounds right to me.

@@patriciaables4103When I first believed, I landed in “the Church of Christ (Campbellite) too! I came to realize that it is a cult (but filled with kind and caring people) that has many wrong ideas about what God is doing with believers today such as that you have to be water-baptized to receive the Holy Spirit (when in reality you receive the Holy Spirit the instant you trust Jesus Christ); but the very worst thing they teach is that a believer can lose their salvation through sinning or lack of faith in Christ! In other words, the C of C believes they are not eternally secure, but Ephesians 4:30 KJV says we are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of our redemption! So my sons and I high-tailed it out of there and found a Baptist church (which is only slightly better but they teach eternal security but they’re still super legalistic!). Now I realize that believers saved by the free gift of Ephesians 2:8&9 KJV which is a gospel “not of works” have received no such command to attend a church. The “assembling of yourselves together” in Hebrews is written to the Hebrews (Jews) - not to us former pagans (Ephesians 2:11-13 KJV) saved by the grace of the free gift!
@@dfkuz I don't think it's a cult no one is forced to believe or to attend their church. They are generally good people like most Christians, just believe different. Most were raised in the church. I no longer attend any church because who which one is biblically right. I just love the Lord with all my heart and give him all the praise. I rather attend no church than be indoctrinated in the wrong way.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit may be defined as that work whereby the Spirit of God places the believer into union with Christ and into union with other believers in the body of Christ at the moment of salvation. The baptism of the Holy Spirit was predicted by John the Baptist (Mark 1:8) and by Jesus before He ascended to heaven: “For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 1:5). This promise was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4); for the first time, people were permanently indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and the church had begun.
First Corinthians 12:12-13 is the central passage in the Bible regarding the baptism of the Holy Spirit: “For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free-and we were all given the one Spirit to drink” (1 Corinthians 12:13). Notice that we “all” have been baptized by the Spirit-all believers have received the baptism, synonymous with salvation, and it is not a special experience for only a few. While Romans 6:1-4 does not mention specifically the Spirit of God, it does describe the believer’s position before God in language similar to the 1 Corinthians passage: “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
The following facts are necessary to help solidify our understanding of Spirit baptism: First, 1 Corinthians 12:13 clearly states that all have been baptized, just as all been given the Spirit to drink (the indwelling of the Spirit). Second, nowhere in Scripture are believers told to be baptized with, in or by the Spirit, or in any sense to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This indicates that all believers have had this experience. Third, Ephesians 4:5 seems to refer to Spirit baptism. If this is the case, Spirit baptism is the reality for every believer, just as “one faith” and “one Father” are.
In conclusion, the baptism of the Holy Spirit does two things, 1) it joins us to the body of Christ, and 2) it actualizes our co-crucifixion with Christ. Being in His body means we are risen with Him to newness of life (Romans 6:4). We should then exercise our spiritual gifts to keep that body functioning properly as stated in the context of 1 Corinthians 12:13. Experiencing the one Spirit baptism serves as the basis for keeping the unity of the church, as in the context of Ephesians 4:5. Being associated with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection through Spirit baptism establishes the basis for our separation from the power of indwelling sin and our walk in newness of life (Romans 6:1-10; Colossians 2:12).
