- Now it's been said that Texas is BIG, Texas sized even! It's southern border stretches all the way to Mexico, but what many don't realize is that near its northern border, trippers can encounter an entirely different kind of country. Welcome to Canadian Texas.

TIme to pray for the folks in the Panhandle! Mandatory evacuations are in effect in more than a half dozen Texas towns, the weather service said. The city of Canadian had been asked to shelter in place and several agencies were sending crews to help protect structures against the advancing flames, according to one of the coordination center updates. By evening, fire crews had been able to place a control line around Canadian to try to protect the town, but officials also warned that the fire had shown the ability to send burning embers over long distances.
Whatever it was it was NOT NATURAL.
I love your channel! So glad I stumbled upon it! The pacing, quality, production value is top notch! Very underrated channel. The host and crew deserves its flowers for putting out these high quality content. I saw you are on air in local markets in Texas, but you should be picked up by a network that airs nationally like Travel/HGTV/type of channel. Just wanted to say thank you for your efforts. So surprising you dont have more subscribers on RUclips!
WOW! This was a great episode. I’ve never been to Canadian but I hope I get to visit.
Its crazy how even living in North TX all my life never heard of this town then I watch this and then a week later I see it on every news channel.
Yes. So sad up there
Well we are Northwest Texas. Totally different section of Texas.
Good Day Eh! You Hoser... Take Off to Canadian eh! LOL 🤣
I feel attacked. It is not the only true remaining town in Hemphill County You can’t forget about my little hometown Glazier,TX it is 10 miles east of Canadian
Yeah I was gonna say lol
Chet's Canadian accent is nearly irish😂😂😂😂
Thanks, Chet!
🤠
That was the Halliburton hangout once upon a time. Especially for the Liberal crew. At the time, though, it was the greasy monkey, and the goat was the bar.
luv the flip he did over the rock, running from the mounty
He went for it!!
Cattle Exchange is wonderful place to eat.
I was born in Canadian. Hemphill County Hospital, Dr. Rush Snyder 1981. Moved to Georgia at 5yo and ive been a misplaced texan ever since😂 im a texas tornado and a ga peach and tk pride n each
I love Canadian and have relatives there! 😊 Love Brown Bag, Stumblin Goat and Cattle Exchange!
When I was in Boger's Frank Phillips College Combo, I remember a trip to Canadian. It was a beautiful part of the Panhandle. The people were great too.
😉 Those canuck women were wanting to try Texan Brisket. You should go back soon.
"I can't believe how pretty it is out here..." Continues to show 4 dudes in a truck for 10 more seconds and then only shows the dinosaur. It's a really nice river valley. Literally the most interesting topography in the Panhandle; it's a shame you didn't show any of it.
Jason has a RUclips channel too. He hasn't done much since the fire this year. It got a lot of his land apparently.
Was just in Canadian last year. Have family in cemetery there. Beautiful town, great movie theater. Miss it, but will go back. Friendly people.
My parents lived there, dad was the ice man in 30s or 40s. My sister was kidnapped there.
Texas is so big that the top of Texas is closer to Canada, than it is to the bottom of Texas. 🤯
I dont think thats a real canadian mountee 🤔 but i cant be sure
Looks 100% to me. Not at all like he just bought that costume off Amazon.
They should build a Tim Hortons there, lol
Hey Chet...You don't look like you age!
Sure you aren't AI?
hahaha. I could do a lot more day trips, if we could just clone me.
Very nice ep. Thanks for going the "extra mile". I'm miffed I didn't get to hang with you when you were in Smithville, please come back and look me up at the ol' 7eleven. This is Thermos again
I'm overdue for a return trip to Smithville.
The Citadel was a Church of Christ in ‘73 & its preacher was Elmer Cates , a very wise man gave me good advice about life in 1974 ( when I graduated from CHS ) & joined the Marines ! Dr. Abraham was a decent Dr except for when he saw blood , at which time he would pass out ! lol . There were 2 grocery stores - Bestway & Millers ! They got a Pizza Hut in ‘73 / 74 not sure . I remember the Urchels hit oil in ‘73 ! And of course Lake Marvin & scooping oats & collecting bounty on ground squirells at Frank Shallers ranch ! Good times !
Yes another panhandle episode
We've got a Borger one coming out in May.

I have partied under that bridge more times than I can count. Love the town and the people. Some of my best friends live in Canadian. One of my best friends helped his Dad build Audry the dinosaur.
The dinosaur is not Audrey. It is just Aud.
@@huntergirl7275 Pig named her after Audry, his wife is what I should have said. I know it is Aud.
Why did the Abrihams leave????
They're rich and have houses all over the world lol
Ahhh. I miss Canadian! 😊
