Waylon, Willie, and other country music legions made Luckenbach Tx. famous... One of my most favorite song is Out of Luckenbach Texas... I always wanted to go there to see the town it's on my bucket list...
I live in Kendalia, so I am aware of the area. However my best friend is coming to visit in June for his birthday. I'm thinking this is the perfect day trip. Appreciate ya'll 🙏 💙
Went by there on our way to Fredericksburg and then enchanted rock. I was driving and I sat in our suv looking and thinking about the song. Mom said she didn't feel like going in and I was good with the song.
My dad…long gone…was an old fashioned spy from Vietnam era onward. He loved this place and Terlingua. If his life would have been 5 degrees on a different course, he could have been here.
Been there a few times and it's a great place to pull up a bench enjoy a good root beer and listen to music. You need to go to Weatherford TX for the peach festival and to the Malt Shoppe for a peach milkshake.
As a born and stayed Texan I can say you and your team are better than TCR and the TX Bucket List. Great entertainment. Have really enjoyed binge watching your channel. Gonna search if you've been to Alpine (went to college there), Marfa (out of whack real estate now for years), or one of my favorite state parks, Enchanted Rock. Wait!...At Sulphur Springs state park down by Lampasas...if you go up thw river there is this super cool waterfall from another creek/river falling into the main. Dang...so much in Texas.
Great to see the whole episode! This one gets to me where I live. So I gotta draw a hard line. It's not part of the legal requirements and I will say it looks like real good sour mash whiskey. But we don't say Bourbon unless it's from Kentucky. It's out of respect. That's why the most famous by far American whiskey and many other brands refrain from calling their product bourbon. Oh and it's aged in new CHARRED oak barrels. That is required the char gives it the color. Now when I get there like you I'm going to the distillery to get some of that real good stuff before I see the bats. That way I'll be right there with them ''I'm high as a bat caw caw!'' As the famous outlaw troubadour is fond of saying (with thumbs locked together and fingers flapping in majestic flight). Luckenbach will be more than a trip for me. It will be a pilgrimage. Jerry Jeff, Guy, P Nunn, Waylon I love them all. I've seen Willie 14 times. He is our nations greatest living treasure. Now I know where else to trip around in the area. Thanks Chet!
I took that Garrison tour last year. The tour guide mentioned a great story about that bull sculpture on the grounds, but I'm old and can't remember the details. :(
The rooster was a nice touch. Right on cue. The Opossum is just playing dead. He is feeling no pain.
This one brought a tear to my eye.
You guys do something! He’s singing again. Show us some mercy here. 🤫
I absolutely love all these locations
I loved when you segued from the first skit to the theme song- which is awesome! Chet, you are a national treasure

Didn’t know they made Old Tunnel into a state park. I explored that tunnel a couple times as a kid in the 80s. Usually on a trip to Luckenbach
Great video, sheared alot of sheep in the area at one time, thanks!!🤙🤙
We just made another trip to Luckenbach a couple of weeks ago! Bought my first ever cowboy hat!
I wish there was more thumbs up I can push and I've never said that about any video and I've been a RUclips fan for many years
