Excellent laptop, I am between this Lenovo Legion Slim, the Asus Rog M16 and the new HP OMEN TRANSCEND that I know very well, I don't know which of these would be better
brother i am getting the legion slim 7i 12700h 3060. i liked it so much. Legion 7 isn't available in my country Nepal. So i finally decided to get the legion slim 7i
Thanks for the video man! Just curious, do you go out and buy these lapops yourself? and would it be possible at some point soon to do reviews on the newer CPUs and GPUs, or woul dthat become super difficult? Hope you succeed in this endeavour
Aw cheers man thanks! Your support and kind words mean alot to me. Most of what I have reviewed is all bought myself. So I have a buy-sell cycle. But I am super pumped about 40 series laptops and hope to get my hands on one soon as it becomes feasible. Thank you for your wishes DarkKnight. Hope I can keep creating content. I always enjoy good conversarion about tech.
@@kazmiee not a problem. Besides. The more of you I see, I can make an informed decision on a laptop. I can't recall if you mentioned this. How do the build qualities compare between the razer and the Legion slims? Also colour gamut comparison?
@@DarkKnight2037 Well I dont have any professional color measurement instruments, but from those that have, I understand coverage of 69.8 for P3, 98.1 for sRGB, 71.9 for AdobeRGB1998; The system comes with a factory calibrated display and also comes with X-rite software for any further calibration
@@DarkKnight2037 solid. No flex in the chassis. Screen does not wobble.though... im not sure how to explain it. But the Razer still feels more...premium? But yeah no doubt, a sturdy build
Thank you for your inspired review. I'm watching it before getting my 1st Legion ever. Just have a question, I think my demand is just like yours in the video, between 2 options: Ryzen 7 6800H RX6800S (16% cheaper) Core i7 12700H RTX 3070 which one should I choose? Thank you in advance.
Apologies for the late reply and thank you for your question! The full AMD system with the Ryzen and 6800S can definitely support better battery life overall. The 3070 and Intel version might give you a slight edge in terms of adobe software but only slight. I would personally save my money and stick with an AMD system. AMD has made many driver optimizations over the year and can stand toe to toe with the intel / Nvidia variant in many scenarios. Hope that helps! Let me know what you decide and what your experience is like!
Thats a good question. Id say that if you are looking for a QHD gaming experience then a laptop 3060 may kind of struggle. The 6800s should be able to handle that a bit better. How much is QHD worth to you is the question then. If you are cool with 1080p, then 3060 will be greaaat. I saw that the previous gen legion slim is on a significant price drop lately on Lenovos website as well. But I would suggest eventually moving to QHD. Once you go QHD, tough to go back. :P
The one he has in the video is on sale for about $1350 rn, which is really $1237ish with coupon codes EXTRA5 and GREETINGS10. Just found out about this recently and I'm thinking of getting it myself.
@@kazmiee Thanks! Just picked up the AMD version this week. Found out the AMD version has the integrated graphics which I can also use to play games with as well! This is great for emulator games and eSports titles where top GPU performance isn't required and results in even better battery life vs using the 6800s GPU! I wish Lenovo would advertise this feature for the AMD version. There are people who may need the Intel version for certain apps like video editing where that extra CPU could come in handy but for a majority of us who game with this PC, the AMD one is even better because of both the RDNA 2 680M plus the RX 6800s in this laptop. Just thought I'd share that with you. I love my laptop. It's awesome. Initially I was looking for the Intel one with the higher resolution display but couldn't find it. Bought the AMD unit because it came with the better screen and found out about this CPU/GPU/APU combo afterwards 😎
Yes ofcourse. Should handle it all okay but keep in mind that intel 12th gen will definely render videos faster (20-30% faster) and when you record gameplay, there will be a 10-15% decline in fps.
nice I just hope I had one for school as an engineering student.. been struggling with celeron lolz

Love you bhuttz
Nice machine. I considered the Legion 7 slim AMD version, but the soldered RAM slot just put me off.
Yeah they did it again this year. The asus m16 this year found a way to add a sodimm AND a third fan so Legion needs to have a rethink for the Gen9
Is it much better compared to the rtx3060 one? Because the price difference is huge and I don’t know if it’s worth it. Thank you for the great review

Bro u jave legion 7 on sode olz make legion 7 video and make rgb video and make gaming vidoeoo pzzzz
Is this version better than the Intel legion slim 7i?
Well, the main difference is, Intel will give better CPU performance and AMD will give better battery life and heat management as well.

Can u unbox legion 7i 12800hx 3070ti
I just want this laptop to play and record GTA V videos on it. Can it handle it easily. What about video editing on this

@@GurkiratSinghInTech awesome thermals. Temps were never an issue for me. Stays cool
Where in Canada u bought it ?
Directly from Lenovos website
What's the TGP of this?
100w. Though I remember on balanced mode, it would hover around 85-90. Performance mode would take it up to 100
HDR?
Yes. Has HDR400. So its an entry level variant. But is there if you need it

Ill be doing the review for the AMD 6700M model legion 7 . Hopefully soon! Thanks for the interest Romash
