One of the most important discoveries I made was your channel. It is largely because of you we lost no money on the collapse of exchanges because of your lessons in keeping your tokens in a ledger. We took that to heart when you stated you do not own them if they are not in a hardware wallet. We also have learned to love bear markets as we are acquiring crypto through DCA. We continue to learn from you as you teach in a very pragmatic manner and do not shill as so many others do. We have passed your channel on to other family members as well as friends and acquaintances. Again, thank you for helping to make our crypto journey one of growth and not loss.

Did you do well at first or struggle? What was your investment plan? Like, I bought XYZ first and bought a ton. Or, I started with DCA each week. Then, what was your progression from there. Did you sell all near the top of a cycle and buy back in near the cycle bottom? It would be encouraging to me to know your story!

I totally agree that NFTs have great potential, but I feel many of your examples are still about using them as a financial asset. I think they have much greater potential in record keeping, like storing legal documents, library ebook lending, or archiving.

Government agencies, the US military, and universities used Arpanet to exchange information and programs, especially computer games. Then came the browser (1994), which eliminated the need for 30-256 character command lines of text to access Arpanet folders and files. Only then was when Arpanet transformed into the Internet. What I am saying is this: NFTs need a graphical forms-driven blockchain-based interface where anyone can create the parameters of an agreement, and the interface can spew out the complete and bound NFT solidifying a transaction (all transactions, including exchange goods and services for monetary funds). That's when all these altcoins will become useless if not part of gas fees on NFT Graphical Blockchain Platforms. NFTs are the Disruptor to many businesses, and that's the fear. One day it will be realized, thereby eliminating third-party, intermediary grifting entities. I have more to say - wait on the e-book. 😊😊😊 Casey, stay imaginative.
Hi Casey! I really appreciate the way you present opportunities and inspire us as we head into this new digital phase. I was in my 20’s when computers went mainstream, remember the birth of the internet, and I am just as excited now as in my 20’s! The social media part is a little challenging, but as I phase into semi retirement with my photography business I hope I can work on building a brand and focusing on something that will be helpful and useful.

The only problem I see with this is that we would still need to connect our traditional legal system with the digital system. For example, with the coffee shop and the NFT. If the coffee does not fullfil its obligation (discounts, for example) there is no actual consequence to the coffee shop. It cannot be sued, taken to court, etc because that contract is not bound to the legal framework yet. One alternative could be that the coffee shop puts some assets as a guarantee for the executions of the contract but that would create a contingency for the coffee shop that most companies wouldn't want to take.
You misunderstand smart contracts. There is no legal recourse. There are no laws, nor ever will be, attached to smart contracts. It's blockchain. The contract is written with all the agreed upon parameters and it executes upon completion of both parties. If one party fails, the crypto or assets is returned to the original owner. The smart contract is Judge, jury and executioner.

Based on Casey's example (the coffee shop offering discounts to their loyal clients clients) and taking into consideration your comment I'm understanding that one way to approach this use case would be: The coffee shop would need to put X amount of crypto / asset to each contract as a collateral that would be given to the client in case the coffe shop does not deliver what was promised and since that its the only thing besides their word to fullfil their promise and the only consequence beyong the reputational risk. But now, there is a chance that this X amount of crypto / asset can be handed over to the client. The coffee shop couldn't (or shouldn't) expose this assets to extra risks (using them as a collateral to get a loan, for example) so this has a cost (an annual yield for example). And also, for other use cases, there would be no other consequence to any of the parties in the contract: no jail time, no physical assets confiscated, etc. other than losing the collateral which might result cheaper.
With most crypto going to hit the wall a lot of us even in this early are going to lose out , the safest way forward in my amateur opinion is to stay in the top 50 at least and pray you’ve a 10000x on your hands , all those zeroes in the bottom of the pile are a hint that that’s all you’ll have , but for me personally I like the odds , you only need one unlike highlander ….

One thing that bothers me so far about smart contracts is code bugs that are difficult to avoid. Sometimes those bugs are caused or exposed by changes in requirements/expectations or version updates or other dependencies. Kind of a big deal imagining code that never [ever] changes. Any thoughts? P.S. I've been a software engineer for a long time (I'm betting longer than you've been alive) and would love to start expanding my potential in future-oriented technologies.

One alternative could be that the coffee shop puts some assets as a guarantee for the executions of the contract but that would create a contingency for the coffee shop that most companies wouldn't want to take.
You misunderstand smart contracts. There is no legal recourse. There are no laws, nor ever will be, attached to smart contracts. It's blockchain. The contract is written with all the agreed upon parameters and it executes upon completion of both parties. If one party fails, the crypto or assets is returned to the original owner. The smart contract is Judge, jury and executioner.

Based on Casey's example (the coffee shop offering discounts to their loyal clients clients) and taking into consideration your comment I'm understanding that one way to approach this use case would be: The coffee shop would need to put X amount of crypto / asset to each contract as a collateral that would be given to the client in case the coffe shop does not deliver what was promised and since that its the only thing besides their word to fullfil their promise and the only consequence beyong the reputational risk.
But now, there is a chance that this X amount of crypto / asset can be handed over to the client. The coffee shop couldn't (or shouldn't) expose this assets to extra risks (using them as a collateral to get a loan, for example) so this has a cost (an annual yield for example).
And also, for other use cases, there would be no other consequence to any of the parties in the contract: no jail time, no physical assets confiscated, etc. other than losing the collateral which might result cheaper.
With most crypto going to hit the wall a lot of us even in this early are going to lose out , the safest way forward in my amateur opinion is to stay in the top 50 at least and pray you’ve a 10000x on your hands , all those zeroes in the bottom of the pile are a hint that that’s all you’ll have , but for me personally I like the odds , you only need one unlike highlander ….

first order differential, speed over time, speed is scalar, so let's call it velocity, and assign direction . Second order differential, rate of change of velocity over time. (acceleration of money) Third order differential, Rate of change of acceleration over time. Pure Newtonian maths properties. dv/dt, dvt/dt ,dvtt/dt=change in acceleration over time, this is what increases the pool of liquidity. Understand?

I am a retired airline captain and have been working on something in the background that could be perfect for the NFT ecosystem. I am now too old to start a business based on this concept on my own, but I would consider a partnership in taking my idea to the next level. One thing that bothers me so far about smart contracts is code bugs that are difficult to avoid. Sometimes those bugs are caused or exposed by changes in requirements/expectations or version updates or other dependencies. Kind of a big deal imagining code that never [ever] changes. Any thoughts?
P.S. I've been a software engineer for a long time (I'm betting longer than you've been alive) and would love to start expanding my potential in future-oriented technologies.
All I can say Is wow! It's just so much opportunity out there.
