I installed it but the range is limited to that of my keyfob, less than ideal for warming up a cold car when I can only start it from 30 feet away. I was told by customer service that I the Fortin RFK411 kits were compatible, so I ordered one of those, but that item lacks any instructions about how to install it. My question is would the splitter mentioned @ 5:00 in the video compatible to make the Start-X remote start able to connect to the Fortin RF kit??
back in 1980 I installed an Antenna Specialist scanner amp to the alarm in my van, workd great up to 1rd-mile ht/miss shortly after. I then added a scanner antenna and just under a mile but the tx-remote needed more volts/power so I used a used 12volt battery at 10.7volts

I live in a small town and no one can install it. Any help or recommendations? I saw the video for the smart phone adapter. Where do i even start?
