I wish Holosun would put a QD mount on their 512c, I’d be buying those instead of 510c’s to start replacing my “chipper” early budget red dots. Maybe they’ll come up with something before I reach the point where I’m replacing my Romeo 5’s.
Have to admit, I’m an EOTECH fanboy, as I’ve been using these holographic sights for _years._ I’ve never had trouble from any of them. There is one exception though… I do own a Trijicon TA31RCO ACOG for my M16A4 clone.

Rifles: prism and lpvo. Pistols: holosun with the green circle dot. I use just the outer circle on mine personally, let's me focus on the target. Red shows up a lot fuzzier for me.
@@luciusrene943 yeah it's pretty much Prisms for me. The 1x Micro Prism from Primary Arms is probably one of the best bang for your buck options. Costs $250, but instantly removed my Eotech 512 ($500) the second i got my hands on the Prism. Thank you for the review. I'll stick with irons, ACOG, and scope as required. I know eventually, I will need to mount one on my Glock 20. Keep up the great content.
How about spending your refund on a CUDA RX-795 with IntelliDOT? It's always ready, so you never have to worry about it. It has manual and automatic battery level checks and diagnostics, buttonless tap controls, instant-on/enhanced shutoff, micro speaker audio, the ability to personalize your intensity, and more. And thanks to an internal accelerometer which understands its orientation, it can even turn off and stay off when holstered vertically and still in motion. Try THAT, ShakeAwake!
Great content, thank you. Great website and products. Next time you guys do a video of multiple items, could you edit in brand and model. You said the name then discussed the item. After it was done and on to the next one, I had forgotten the brand and model. THANKS!
Great list gentlemen. What site would you recommend for my srm arms 1216 shotgun? I would like the option of both circle and red dot together and or by themselves.
What's the gun going to be used for? If you need the gun to be ready to go when you pick it up (like a home defense gun) you probably want the red dot, because you usually keep the optic on at all times, so that it's on and ready to go at a moment's notice. If you did that with an EXPS or XPS, you'll kill the battery in a couple of months. The battery in an Aimpoint will last for years being always on. If it's for a gun you're going to use occasionally and not rely on, I'd say go for the EOTech - the reticle is amazing and allows easy close-range shooting and easy followups. Make sure you read up on how the reticle is used for holdovers if you get one, because it's not obvious that the bottom of the circle is used for a 7 yard holdover.
@@hoorayimhelping3978 it’s a SHTF/HD rifle. I was thinking just for the battery life alone the PRO would be the move. Plus I can fit so many spare batteries In the pistol grip. The EOTECH’s take big batteries so I can’t fit that many in the grip on top of the fact that the battery life is so short.
My department only approved Trijicon & Delta for pistol red dots. The Trijicons seem much more popular despite having to remove & re-zero for battery changes.
Trijicon makes a 1MOA dot, and I want my Optics to be 1MOA dang it!!!!! Why can't they all have 65moa circle's and 1 MOA DOTS, and should be able to turn on or off the circles.....that's not too much to ask ..?
I am looking for a low mounted red dot for a short gun for hunting and home defense. What is a good, conservative priced , red dot with a low mount and a fair sized window/ glass. I Don't want a very large sight like the ECOtec.
For EDC, you want the enclosed emitter. All open emitters do is annoyingly collect dust and leave the potential for the dot to be obscured by a variety of things.
