Nice work and nice tractor, you should add a stabilizer bar between your differential and one side of your TPH to keep your rear implement from swaying back and forth.
You have a great little tractor there. Don't be afraid to cut anything 3" or smaller. Your tractor will handle it if you run in 2nd gear and just open it up a little more. If you have something hanging over the path. Backup over it with your mower lifted a little. You can drop it back down as you pull forward, and then you have a great looking pathway again.
Thanks for the advice. It's been a good tractor. It's so good that I bought a second one when I moved to PA. I was a little nervous about smashing things up when I made this video. It was some of the first times I ever mowed with it. I have a field to brush hog in the spring, and I'll be doing the things you mentioned. Thanks again!
@Johnsplots I own the same tractor myself. As long as you go slowly, you will not hurt anything. Another tip, under your battery is a plug that looks like a screw. That's for the steering gear box. You might wanna suck the old oil out and replace it with atf. It's like power steering whenever you get everything lubricated with the proper fluid.
@charleswelch249 that's good to know. When I moved back to PA I bought a second mf35 but it has power steering. But my cousin ended up buying a 35 this summer without power steering and I noticed the steering pretty stiff. I'm going to tell him about this. Thanks for the information!
@@Johnsplots i just looked and the 2nd video where you sprayed the clover and mowed it the 2nd time where the mower backfired and wouldn't start till the next day and you finished in the rain isn't there
Nice. You'll enjoy it. I just bought a 2 bottom plow for mine. I'm hoping to try it out tonight and tomorrow. I'll post a video. The brush hog I used was a 5' and it worked well.
Ive spent so many hours behind the wheel of a mf 35.... you learbt to be careful with how you held it in the terrain. Thatvtyoe of steering have nasty kick back...

@Johnsplots it's the same steering gears, check your tractor as well.
What revs is the engine at when you’re topping. ( Brush hogging)
I'm not sure. I keep it low so I don't smash things up. 1500 maybe? That massey doesn't have a tachometer.
What happened to the old videos of you mowing the food plots with the simplicity?
I'm not sure but I'll take a look.
It's there now
@@Johnsplots awsome thank you
Yes sir

Can you knock over 3 inch trees or do you just go over small stuff
2 inch pine is probably max. Any bigger and the tractor just can't push it over to get the brush hog on top of it haha
Just bought a 35. I’m looking forward to enjoying the ride. Any tips and tricks I should know
I actually just bought my second one a few months ago. They're a great tractor. What do you plan on using it for?
Mainly for fun. I will probably brush hog, do a little garden… And just ride it lol. I will use it at my cabin. Can’t wait to play

Nothing like brush hogging it's so peaceful to me to see tall weeds go down and seeing the finished work
Same!
How big around saplings are you clearing?.. I have lots of pine
Most average around 1 inch max
@@Johnsplots ok thanks. Im gonna take it easy.
@Justice Bruno my brush hog is more of a light to medium duty brush hog, so I try to be careful.
it take forever to brush hog sometimes nothing goes right but it takes no time for the brush to grow back
You're not kidding!
Question for you. Any Logan Judson Frederick or Alexander Frederick in your family tree?
Nope, at least not that I know of!
Dude, I can't find any MF35 anywhere, Thats a nice old tractor. I have the Ford NAA Jubilee. Thanks!
Thanks. I got very lucky with that one! Good luck on your search. They're hard to come by.

Yes. That steering wheel can whip around in an instant.
I'm learning on mine.. that steering can surprise you. Wonder if I can make it power steer?
Good stuff 😊😊😊
Thanks!!
Good job, i’m gonna to bye an F35 in feu week-end for the same job....
The 35 works great for brush hogging! I do wish mine had a live pto, though.
