Hi Kyle. When she said "pachamba" it actually means she's winging it or improvising the dish. Btw those snails are great with coconut milk. Have a nice day.
How I miss the still dark very early mornings in the late 1970s when my Lola (God Bless her very good soul) would cook in our makeshift Kitchen (like the one in 5:48) attached to our ancestral home in Malabon. I would wake up to the good smell of garlic fried rice and smoked 'tinapa' fish. One can still see the round moon before 5am. Its a good thing you corrected the way you pronounced "suso"... because instead of being snails (sue-saw) it almost became a body part on a female torso (sue-so), so just imagine when you said, "mosupsop sa suso..." ... Hehehehe... That's the first time I saw suso cooked adobo style, because we usually cook it with coconut milk and pako (edible fern), and we make it spicy. A few hundred hectares more or less till the Wildlife sanctuary in Quezon Blvd. It was full of fruit trees, were planted vegetables by farmers, lots of grasslands with wild quails, ducks and tiklings. There were also open marshes and ponds where carabaos use to wade and Kuhol or snails were aplenty.
