I disagree. There are some great immersive games nowadays that aren't just made for cashgrabs and microtransactions. Prey and dishonored for example are simply amazing for me.

Basically, they fired all the old peeps, and hired all the young guys, thinking that their fresh new degrees could compensate for decades of experience while paying them less. It's the main reason the IT industry changed so much from the 90s to the 2010s. There was a lot of older folks complaining that employers would just always employ younger folks. Everyone kinda ignored them, but now we're seeing the effects... To be honest, games made now-ish are getting okay, with a lot of details put in; that's either due to the young people been employed for 10 years now, or due to RUclips and where lack of detail would be severely bashed upon because it's now in the spotlight
Because its more easier to trick people now with the internet, while back then you had to actually grab the attention when you bought a physical disc in stores. Otherwise you would just not care.
I remember downloading the demo for this on a dial-up connection, after almost 3 hours long and at 97%, I accidentally hit cancel. It was quite traumatic.

Al82: Retrogaming & Computing is there a secret files version of this jj2+ project? I have the original secret files v1.24 on my win7 laptop. It runs fine with compatibility mode only crashes once or twice. The most annoying thing is the 640x480 resolution on an hd 16:9 screen is awful now lol. Any help? Also the secret files version has 2 full episodes more than this.

Best part of this game is how you can create your own map using one of the app installed along the main game. Kinda gave my young self some experience in programming

You can choose which episode - I just chose to play all of them in sequence.

The title screen is different because I used the JJ2+ mod to get it running properly under Windows 10 :)
