For all the Crash Bandicoot fan games I've ever seen, this is one of the BEST. It's a definitive love letter to the OG Crash Trilogy fans - and the attention to detail is phenomenal. Keep up the great work - and we look forward to seeing more!
Once again it's so refreshing to see a mod/fangame that isint made to be pube rippingly hard/nitro hellhole where you need to use constant "speedrunner strats" or borderline glitch out of the course to make it past. I also looove how the music tracks fuse in elements from all three of the Naughty Dog games. Very good, llooking forward to seeing more.

There are also some things that need to be fixed: Crash needs to blink. I know it's a minor detail, but the more details they add, the better it becomes. Crash always blinked, yet in this game, he never does. And also, he should have more idle animations, instead of just standing there, he should get bored and then begin to make his idle animation from Crash Bandicoot 1. That's how it is in the original Crash 2 obviously. And also, Crash lacks a few animations, for example, when he gets up from crouching, there's no animation, he simply turns back to his idle animation.
That's incredible game design, it makes me really happy to see a true sequel to Naughty Dog's Crash. I like the soundtrack but it needs some improvement, but for a amatours, I think they did a pretty good job. Please it up!

I'm loving the progress of this project, even if there's still a lot of ground to cover. However, one of the main things that ticks me off is the detonation of TNTs on falling. That's not how they work in the games, they only detonate when falling ONLY if there's a crate on top of it. Hopefully something to consider in the future.
it does work like that on few crash games. and it does make sense as hitting ground likely should give bigger impact than regular box falling on top of it. imo it's rather improvement than nuisance

@@Keyaku1 idk maybe twins or gba games. i have played many fan games recently and on lot of them it works like in this fangame. but game don't need to be exact copy from og trilogy or c4. i just cant see any downside to how it works now.
Everything about this fan game is sick, but I really gotta point out that the soundtrack (especially the main song of terminally eel) goes hard as fuck. Excellent job, fellas.
I love how every level is a homage to a particular level theme from the original trilogy. I especially admire that Barrel Roll is a tribute to both Cortex Power and Toxic Waste (with a hint of Heavy/Castle Machinery)

It's a very minor criticism, since i like pretty much everything else this video shows but on Ruin Around, it's soundtrack doesn't seem to match with the level theme. As we all know the level itself is based around Road To Ruin/Ruination from Crash 2, but the soundtrack used in the level is based around Road To Nowhere/The High Road & Temple Ruins/Jaws of Darkness. Outside of that, good work, you got something great brewing on there.
Looks good! Camera is a little disorienting right now but other than that, yeah this is Crash. Edit. Camera is great in the less open levels. It was really just the first shown stage.

It certainly *feels* like old crash though which is very important. Also, small thing (probably just me) but if the pun of 'Ruin Around' is supposed to be Running Around, wouldn't it make more sense for the name to be 'Ruinin Around'.
This looks really great. I only have problem with a small detial that you could insert the bonus path models...Allthrough looks good and soundtrack sounds great too. Will you upload soundtrack one day? And do you plan on making Boss fights? That's all from me :)
This is not a rom hack, but it's a game well done; tho i wish you could realease it on steam; but than you might have to deal with some copyright etc... Other than that, i would say a job very well done : )
@vox725 because crash somehow looks more like the design concept art/looney tools art with ps1 graphics. It's not bloated with extra powers and has the same hit boxes for enemies and crates as classic. Crash2 and 3 are pinnacle. Nothing beats the look/feel.
the SFX sounds a little off, not to dump on the game or anything but the music is alright as well and I'm baffled that this is using the crash 2 version of the "crash engine" (what was the engine that was use to make the crash games?)
The title "Tomb Cruise" is a stroke of genius 😂

Crash doesn't blink in it's about time as well unless he does an idle animation

9:46 Considering the level's theme, this scene alone made the boulder chase scene even more like Indiana Jones.
Maybe add some Dinosaur levels where Crash will run away from a Triceratops and then ride a T rex while still being chased by the Triceratops. :)

When will we see some bosses / stuff like the jet pack and polar bear levels
you can crawl underneath the boulder in the egypt level to get the boxes (forgot that the boulder breaking the crates counts to the score)
also love the new levels the secret lives in the sewer level were a nice reward for exploring

My only complaint is the bouncy camera, it gives me motion sickness but overall the game looks crazy good.
