Wood pellets I picked up came from treated wood. Would like to a better source.

Heating pellets are generally from processing logs at the mill. Please do not use anything treated. I'm glad you noticed this!

You can bake in the oven at a low temperature. The jars or bags would need to be placed in a water bath to prevent burning. You can Google sterilization in an oven for more details.
