Dimash enrolled in music college at 5 yrs old. His vocal cords have received intense training for 20 yrs. He has two master's degrees in different types of music. He is considered to be the best vocalist in the world and a master performer. He sings in many languages and plays many instruments. He is an exceptional singer and excels in martial arts and swimming. His mother is a world-class opera singer, and his father is also a well-known crooner in Asia. He was raised by his grandparents, which is customary in his home country of Kazakhstan. He appears in front of crowds of hundreds of thousands of people and is known to give the proceeds to charity. He is a very humble and shy man. He stands at 6 ft. 3 1/2" tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was 22yrs old at the time of this performance. His first album went platinum in 37 seconds.

He did a concert in the U.S. in 2019 and people showed up from over 72 countries to be there.
He is Eurasian by ethnicity. Tall at 6'3". An athlete, male fashion model A philanthropist, loving, caring, compassionate, (you will often see him carrying around babies (not his) and kissing it on the forehead or cheek).
He has become in such high demand though he cannot be as close to his Dears/fans as he wishes.

Thousands of hours training his voice… and he is still getting better and better. This was just the tip of an iceberg of what he is capable to do with his voice. Once he said he practices 4 hours every day.

Dimash Kudabergen, a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, living legend, genius singer, one in a million, no, one in a billion, the best vocalist in the world. On 5 December 2019, dimash Kudaibergen was awarded "Best Vocalist in Classical Music" and won a Special Prize for "Discovery of the Year" at the Russian National Music Awards "Victoria" that are considered the Russian equivalent to the Grammy Awards.
Dimash's parents are singers, his mother is a soprano, his father is a singer and also a producer, as far as I know, Dimash's grandparents are singers, so from a musical point of view, Dimash has good genetics, he has a natural innate talent, which he developed after 23 years of work, and we have a unique singer in front of us. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology. He was 22 in this performance and is 28 now (only gotten better). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018 and then "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, and "Ave Maria" 2021. Dimash sings all styles of music. opera, pop, rock and crossovers. You have videos on RUclips where he sings a bocelli-like pure opera song. as you have other videos where he sings pop like Mariah Carey, or a soprano like maria callas. He is insane!!!!
he is already immensely known around the world, mainly in Asia, Europe, South America and the USA, he has already performed in New York. of classical music, which is the muse of the Vienna opera, among others. he is still very young. so much so that in the video you reacted to now, he wasn't even a professional yet, he was just a young music student from Kazakhstan. He is currently a professional and is doing much better, he has extended his vocal capacity especially in the bass.

Thank you for your precise analysis of this early performance by Dimash. He has grown so much since then, every performance unique from the last one and every one of them brilliant and amazing. This one is truly the tip of a very large iceberg; I hope to see you reacting to others in his catalog of music that contains everything from opera to rap. Dimash is a vocal god, as they say, very likely the world's best male singer. I'm sure you'll get a plethora of recommendations, but I'll chime in with "Olimpico," "Ikanaide," "Ave Maria," and "Stranger" for an exciting start to your journey through Dimashland should you choose to take it.

@@fadliyaakob6001 While I think "One Sky" is one of the most important messages in the world right now, let alone in music, I think it's important Vanessa understands that the official video won't work as a performance to analyze. That is to say, it won't work to analyze his glorious performance because it's set in the context of extremes scenes of the insanity that can and does arise from human conflict, war and death. Perhaps there'll be a release made without that sound and those visuals in the background, but until then Vanessa should pick other songs/performances. I thing Doug's suggestion makes excellent sense as a first four given her starting choice and analysis.

@@ralphmellor1909 Agreed. The story and message is incredibly powerful, but the visuals and voiceovers take a lot away from the focus on his voice. While it's still beautifully sung, it's not one of his more "complex" performances. I believe she'll be better served sticking with songs that showcase his vocal capabilities for now.

You have not even begun to scratch the surface of Dimash's talent and ability. He has performed songs in 15 languages; Kazakh, Russian, English, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Serbian, Turkish, Sicilian, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz, Arabic, and Japanese. Besides his native Kazakh tongue, he speaks fluent Russian, which is still an official language in most former Soviet Republics. Dimash is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin, which he says is a challenging language to learn. Dimash plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. He usually performs for more than two hours during live concerts and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I was told that a good professional vocalist has a range of about 3 octaves. According to some analysts, Diamsh's range is over 7 octaves (A1-D8), spanning across all four registers. He has continued to hone his skills and to fine-tune and perfect his already unbelievable abilities even more. There does not seem to be a limit to what he can achieve vocally. I am excited to follow his journey. Dimash may go down in history as the most extraordinary vocal talent known to man. I cannot think of anyone, past or present, capable of doing what Dimash is capable of. I am still waiting on someone to name a single individual even remotely close to Dimash's mastery.
If you want to follow Dimash's career progression over the last five years, here is a song list I usually recommend in semi-chronological order: S.O.S. (d'un Terrien en détresse), either the Slavic Bazaar or the 2017 "I Am A Singer" version. His covers from the same competition of Lara Fabian's "Adagio," Eric Carmen's 1975 "All by Myself" (repopularized by Celine Deion), and Freddie Mercury's "The Show Must Go On." Also, from the same show, Confessa & Diva Dance, Opera 2, Daididau, Daybreak, and Autumn Strong. His "I Am A Singer" 2018 guest performance of Lionel Richie's "Hello" is a must. Then there is Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast), Love is like a Dream (2018 Moscow performance), Your Love, Olimpico (Ogni Pietra) from Igor Krutoy's channel, Diva Dance (Bastau Concert), Across Endless Dimensions (either the movie trailer or his internet live concert performance), and Know (both the regular performance as well as the vocalise). His more operatic-sounding performances are Ti Amo Cosi (with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina), Ulisse (Duet w/Aida Garifullina), Tu Vas Me Détruire (duet w/Sundet Baigojin), Question of Honour (duet w/Zarina Altynbayeva), and the aforementioned Olimpico (Ogni Pietra).
His traditional and Chinese songs are also impressive: Adai+Daididau, Samal Tau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival), Qairan Elim (Holy Land), Elim Menin (My Homeland), Karagym-ai, Thousand of Miles - A Common Dream, and Ómir Óter. And then there are Drunken Concubine & Diva Dance (duet with Li Yugang), Without You, Love Of Tired Swans, Where Love Lives, Unforgettable Day (Gakku Concert), I Miss You, Passione, Give Me Love, Marigold, Golden, Mademoiselle Hyde, Screaming, his latest music video "Be With Me," just to name a few.
His latest songs, "Fly Away," "Stranger," and "Ave Maria," recently debuted live at New Wave 2021, and the latter two are on a whole new level. Dimash performs an alternate version of "Stranger" on the "Shine! Super Brothers S2" Youku Show that is simply mind-boggling and well worth checking out. Dimash also recently released "Ikanaide,'' performed during the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival live stream, which is absolutely incredible. He sings in nearly flawless Japanese.
Avoid any performance from "The World's Best." The show in L.A. was utterly disgraceful. The production team edited and cut all of Dimash's performances down to 2 minutes and cut out his Kazakh song for no reason.

It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him.
Some info about Dimash. He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 14 (Kazakh, Turkish, Usceck, Russian, Ukranian, Serbien, Bulgarian Chinese , Italien, Spamish, French, English, German, Japanese ) languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh, Russian and English).
Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD.
He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500.
Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside).
They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night.
Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to.

Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' In Kazakh and I think some translation in Chinese to. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 19 years old and lyrics by Oral-kosai Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to.

Next step to explore Dimash's voice further is Sinful Passion where he interjects some difficult Central Asian vocal technique, and immediately after that goes for a 24-second phrase on one breath in full belting, which includes a slide to a crazy high pitch followed by spiraling down in chromatic riffs and runs. One vocal expert said that these are probably the best 24 seconds of vocal ever sung. In the beginning, you can enjoy a longer stretch in his beautiful rich baritone timbres. This was an enjoyable reaction and analysis. The song "S.O.S. (d'un Terrien en détresse)" is originally from a French-Canadian musical called 'Starmania' from the 1970s and is considered one of the most difficult French songs to perform. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He appears here in the fifth season of Hunan Television's "I Am A Singer" competition. "I Am A Singer" is an annual Chinese music competition between famous and established professional singers. The audience phones in to determine the winner after each episode. It is the same throughout the entire show; 500 with musical backgrounds judge the show by points each week.
At 22 years old, Dimash was the youngest participant in the show's history and competed against these professional and top-selling Chinese singers as a 'wildcard' competitor. The competition consists of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months, and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live, and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. Dimash's mother later said that he hoped to reach at least the middle stage of the competition.
This was the very first episode of the competition, and Dimash had to go first because he was considered the weakest, given that he was completely unknown to the audience. After this performance, he became a superstar in China overnight. His Chinese competitors called him their "little imported brother." The other already well-known contestants were in absolute awe of him and joked that they might as well go home. Dimash won the first two episodes! He also won the 6th for his rendition of "Adagio," a song made famous by Lara Fabian.
First place overall went to the famous Chinese Sandy. Sandy's first album came out before Dimash was even born. Dimash took second place overall; however, he lost by a very narrow margin. He lost a lot of points for his performance of "Uptown Funk." Although Dimash did not win the show, he immediately became a beloved star in China.
As part of the contest, all contestants/performers are required to perform one original song they have composed. Dimash sang "Unforgettable Day," a song he wrote when he was still in his teens - it's a love song. He sang in both the original Kazakh and in Chinese even though he did not speak Chinese at the time and had to have a translator with him throughout the competition.
Here is the order of Dimash's performances for The Singer 2017. The contest lasts 14 weeks, but Dimash has only 13 performances because he had already made it into the semi-finals by week 11.

The Singer , it was a Chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. This Voice in China contest is for Chinese performers only. A foreigner had never been there before. Dimash was invited by the organizers to participate and long negotiations took place. This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer).
The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice.
That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to RUclips ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won).

Just one comment to help you in future reactions. It is much preferred that you pause the video when you have comments to make or a point you'd like to get across. Then rewind the video 5 or 10 seconds when you restart. This is much better than speaking over the video. It helps us understand you better and for those who might be seeing the video for the first time it doesn't interrupt their musical experience.
You haven't heard his full 7+ octave range yet. C1-D8. This is an amazing rabbit hole You're about to go down. It will change everything you always thought you knew about music and vocals. He was 22 at this performance in 2017 and has an amazing 5-year catalog since then and has only improved.
He is from Kazakhstan. He began training singing at 5 years old, he is a multi-instrumentalist, he has some songs in 15 different languages. He's able to speak 4. He is a composer, songwriter, producer as well. His genres include most everything from rap to opera.
I agree with you… The problem is that there are different people who prefer different things. There are a lot of commenters who perplex me and complain about pausing the video. They prefer talking over it. Or that the person just watch the video silently till the end and then make their comments, which I think is impractical because they would forget a lot of the points they have to make about certain moments in the song. So… A reactor can never please everybody.
@@Rosannasfriend agreed. Although I think most of us who watch a lot of reactions have learned that pausing is necessary or the videos will be blocked and we won't see them at all. I think the ones that complain about pauses are those who don't understand the copyright issues that reactors have to deal with. Even for me there are a few reactors that pause entirely too much even for copyright purposes but there's not much we can do about that.

My Dearest. You only heard a tiny bit of this Golden Eagle from Kazakhstan. It is so sad that there is still millions of people that did not hear his amazing talent. He is by far the best singer ever. What makes him so special is that he sings every octave in the cleanest and beautiful tones that hipnotize you. He has the most beautiful Baritone voice.
