And to keep in mind, this performance is in the middle of his concert which is around 3 hours long. This song alone is literally the murder song for many great vocalists out there. He really set the bar for male and female vocalists.
The knowledge of singing he has is tremendous, he really learns many types of singing, voices, technique of many regions in the world.
Dimash is the definition of world class singer/ vocalist who has that overall huge masterful of vocal knowledge and singing.
People may and may not like his tones as to other singers/ vocalists for the subjective matter. But in terms of vocals and objective measures, he is the top of this vocal community game! I have not seen any top vocalist can do what he does!
To me, Dimash is not a good and great singer, but a phenomenal singer. Very strong stage presence too.

I know most of his performances on TV in Russia are NOT appeared to be as LIVE, because the Russian shows obssessed to make singers perfect so they put track and many post production touch up. Although i saw fancam of those performaces and sounds LIVE to me. What people do post production is that he can’t control.
But I believe he always sing LIVE in his concerts because he knows the value of his audiences and respect them when they are there buying tickets to support him.
HE MADE HISTORY. Standing on the shoulders of the great pianist composer Franz Liszt ( composed the first, 1800s and changed music forever) Dimash composed this classical Symphonic Tone Poem, scored it for orchestra, choir, and himself, then sang it, acted it and put it in movie, not video format, skyrocketing it into 21st century music and art history. A first of its kind and brilliant. Thank you for showcasing this genius virtuoso.

Dimash sings with whole body, more than anyone I've ever seen. He conducts himself with his hand movements, centres into his diaphragm and hunches ever so slightly to ground himself for the Oms, leaps about to highs, bashes himself for belts and grit, totally immersed. I was there and it was unbelievable. Love your commentary and you are one of few reactors who immediately gets the bringing together of the different religious styles, the 3rd refrain is representative of Judaism though.

It makes us see what war really means. Dimash has created a gigantic work of art, of immeasurable human value and philosophical depth. When you see his music video of The Story of One Sky this makes a lot of sense as the video is about bringing all the different religions together because we all live under one sky and we need peace. We need peace is what he says at the end of this song. His video is a 7 million dollar antiwar video to help bring people together and I really felt the power and emotion of the video in this live performance. He gave his all to this performance and put all of his feeling into it and that is why he took a moment to regain his energy to finish the song. He is so much more than his music, thank you Dimash.

This is more than the most difficult song created ever (opinion by several vocal coaches): the meaning of the song is incredibly powerful and you should react to the music video, to fully understand the sequences of the song, and you will see that some aspects you pointed out are totally relevant (the different part of the world, the religious styles, etc). This is indeed a masterpiece but beyond the technical, vocal and musical aspects (by the way Dimash took 3y to write it), the message is the key of the song.

It is very true what you stated that a song entitled "One Sky" should contain most, if not all, of the music and culture styles of the peoples who live together under "One Sky"!
As for the movements of his hands that accompany him in singing... this is very famous for him and in my opinion is very unique to Dimash at least in certain movements and by the way, also in his facial expressions!
(You can learn music just by looking at his hand movements...lol)
And if we mention this, the mental and physical preparation before and after a song, as well as in the instrumental parts of the song... Dimash does not get "bored" in the meantime - he without singing continues the song until the next part that is supposed to continue singing!

The music composition is written by Dimash himself and the scriptplay of the MV too if you want to watch /react to it ... Yes, you're absolutely right that the melodies represent different section, but if you want to know more the whole meaningful story of the song, I suggest you to also see the MV version of it...The MV alone which more like a whole thriller musical movie, is a beautiful masterpiece itself apart from its magnificence vocally but also visually and philosophically with heart touching and emotional moving story...I will not going deep into it but basically, it's about the human value in their bitter sweet moment of life such family, friendship, brother hood, world society in general and the conflict in between which the concerned peak of it is the tragic life threatening moment like war, with their struggle to pass through it or survive ... The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The MV is a masterpiece. This video is mostly about the message. This message, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. And therein lies the problem with many reactors responding to the MV. It's very difficult or even impossible to concentrate on both in this video. Either Dimash's voice or the message, which for once is much more important in this MV, falls by the wayside. Many people definitely recommend watching the video, also reactors who don't know Dimash at all and then wonder why they either react to one thing or not, or react insufficiently. But that's understandable. They just don't know or understand what they saw. And I don't understand that. Neither the reactors nor the spectators benefit from that.

Excelente interpretación de los diferentes cánticos religiosos. Comienza con cántico musulmán, lo sigue el Budismo, se escuchan las campanas del Catolicismo por último el Judaísmo, con ese sonido del Sofar, que es un llamado a la oración. Como tu lo mencionaste ese último que hace con voz aguda es el canto de Catolicismo, como si fueran ángeles, llamando a la oración, de ahí la palabra Réquiem, oración por las almas que ya no están en el plano terrenal. Todas las religiones en algún punto se unen. Dimash 3 dias antes del concierto al que reaccionaste, canto esta canción en un teatro de Astana, frente a los Líderes de las principales religiones. Donde el Papa Francisco le hizo un regalo.

8:25 you're mostly right, that part was something like traditional cultural music, it's a glottal attacks, melisma in between and him yodelling it into caprino.
the interesting thing is, at 9:19 where he produced that "sliding" notes its kinda imitate the siren sound, the song is about war and you could see on the official video clip on the song that at that moment he's in the middle of the war, it's kinda referring to that situation real time when he singing it, it adds the depth to the song to another level. You'll never be bored with his surprise and clever tricks on his story telling.

Dimash said he thanks God for his gift and thanks his vocal coaches/teachers. He always said in interviews it was his dream to perform and sing since 5 years old like Pavarotti. He also has great musical family background and very much has the support and love of his family. He also has great respect and love to his family and fans ( Dears). I see him as a very competitive person. He also sings with passion. He also plays different music instruments. Has great love for his country Kazakhstan. Engaged in humanitarian efforts. So all these combined makes people to get drawn to him, at least that’s the case for me.
