Cutthroat vs. Tiger Trout Catch n’ Cook Taste Test! - EPIC Day on the Creek!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 6 фев 2025
- After weeks of freezing weather, I headed out to a small creek to hopefully hook into some Cutthroat and Tiger trout! After a slow start and only catching one small trout, I stumbled upon a honey hole where I caught a bounty of beautiful fish! I kept both a tiger and a cutthroat and cooked them up side by side to see which one reigned supreme!

I’m watching this video 3 yrs after you made it because I am binge watching your channel. I absolutely love it. I agree ignore the trolls are just the couch potatoes this one sub described negativity comments. The fish are fine. Your videos are amazing thanks for taking us along.‼️👍❤️
Enjoy your fishing , never mind the negativity especially from the couch potatoes. You are a great example of someone who genuinely loves the outdoors! It is very easy to see that you practice conservation without giving up the experience of true fishing.
thanks man! I totally agree, Thanks for watching!
After High School? I graduated in 1971 and I can tell you....you have no idea HOW fast it goes. :)
No way that is hurting those fish, people will find a way to criticize you no matter what you do. All people need to do is watch a few videos and it's very obvious your not trying to hurt the fish. You never keep trophy fish just what you need for food. Keep doing what your doing f*** the haters.
I'm 54 years old Fished all my life I live in lower mainland BC Canada I have NEVER in all my year ever found a spot that has fish trout that big or that plentiful. I hope one day I can experience that before I'm to old to fish
Love your videos let the haters hate. I think you do an amazing job preserving the fish
Yeah man. Winter is coming
"If you touch them with a dry hand they're automatically dead." 🤣
Releasing the Fish, I would slide them back across the ice into the water, LOL ( but, I'm not on camera.)
Id probably throw them :)
So many fish stacked up in that same spot.. great day!
I honestly love your creek fishing videos, and want you to do more
Thanks for letting me know! More creek vids coming soon!
Lets go dude! Love the vids! Keep it up bro👊!
I like the stream fishing 🎣
I agree, some people r too sensitive about someone taking a fish home to eat. Especially if the fish is injured ! Fishing the ice edges can be very protective as u know. Nice fish by the way !
Don't get too apologetic to the whiners . . . some people have a hard time finding nice things to say - ever. The haters and trolls look for any excuse to complain and criticize. Keep being "you" and do what you love and 99% of us will be happy and supportive.
Totally agree! I really appreciate it!
Try scoring the sides of the fish just lightly through the skin and they should curl as bad!! Awesome video gorgeous cutties and tigers!
How do you only have 12k subs, that’s so weird
these are my favorite videos thanks for the content
No problem man, more to come!
I like the trout stream fishing videos. I’m also a bass and trout fisherman from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Keep up the good work, man!
thanks for watching man!
i,ll say it again your the man, and i,ll put in a vote for spring or creek fishing. all the srings are froz here in Cedar that for sure. please keep the videos come. love them for im stuck in the house myself.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Sliding across the ice is a joy ride compared to what they go through under the water and ice. Nice spot!
haha for real😅 Thanks for watching!
Good job men nice fishing 🎣
I don't know why I get surprised every year on how good winter stream fishing is! 🔥 You caught a lot of pretty fish in this one! Also, that second cutt you caught looks a lot like a cuttbow. Not sure if there's rainbows in there or not but either way beautiful fish! Awesome video usual bro!! 🔥
I’m not sure, it did look like a cuttbow. There’s no rainbows in this creek, at least there shouldn’t be but you never know.. yeah fishing can be great it these little streams in winter! Only problem is the ice😅 I recently went back and you cant even cast anywhere because it’s all iced up.
Every day is a tossup in the driftless. Somedays I can find small areas of open water and the next day that same spot will be locked up with ice Good catches I would be happy with that about right now
Love your videos!
I need to get out and chase some trout.
Let’s go 2022! Fish on 😎 🎣
For sure! Thanks for watching!
I'd like to see more stream fishing videos! Nothing wrong with ice fishing, I just find the open water vids more entertaining.
good to know! i definitely plan on doing more stream fishing, and at least a few more ice trips here soon!
When you tightened your drag you made my day man!
I’m glad😅
10:13 - totally a cutt-bow! Notice the white tipped fins. Nice catch great video
I actually read that the dnr is going to treat that creek again with rotenone since the rainbows showed up again and started hybridizing with the cutthroat
Oh man I sure hope not!😅 I think this creek is doing great!
Just curious if you ever considered taking a pair of hand clippers with you when trekking to the waters edge?
I wouldn’t worry about it! They slide on ice when ice fishing too haha so it’s not any different! Looks like a blast! I need to go find a stream and do that!
haha seriously! nothing beats stream fishing! Thanks for watching!
I’m so surprised that you have small amount of subscribers.. for that quality and video representation, you should have at least few million subscribers … People should spread a word about your channel.
Thank man that means a lot!

"I'm not that fat" got me dying over here
Awesome stuff! 👌
Awesome video man!
I love your videos!!
I’m glad you like them!
My first fish of 2022 was a longscale sucker
“I’m not that fat” 😂
Awesome video I wish I knew where these spots were
i love your channel
That’s awesome! I’m glad you do!
Amazing video
Thanks!
Ur welcome
You need to do a catch and cook of all the trout around you in one sitting that would be 🔥
I've thought about that, the daily trout limit is 4 so i would have to do it over the course of a couple days.
@@bassntroutfishing yeah it would be amazing cook them all the same way and tell us your favorite I’m in Chicago so we have very few types and i dream of fishing this spot some day soon
You’re awsome, love the vids. You should do some salmon fishing
I dont think there is Salmon in Utah. Only Kokanie (if that's how you spell it).
Yeah we have Kokanee which are still pretty cool. I’d like to catch some when they’re silver in the summer!
This is the hip hop edition? Did you just come back from a trip to NYC before this? Dropping all kinds a dope lines.
Tigers are usually they best eating because they don't reproduce and all their energy goes into growing.
Agreed
Send a link for that jig please !
Ur vids are dope bro
Thank you!
Thanks!
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Tigers are sterile but not all stocked trout are sterile. Our state raises their trout from brood stock. Some states like N.C by their trout from farm raised owners who zap the eggs before raising the rainbows, browns and brooks. It's about profit to these guys. It's an extra cost so in our state we do have some holdover and some trout to reproduce. Not all stocked trout are sterilized it's an extra cost.
3:34 😂
Last fish of the day… cuts to “hooked up!” 😂
Yup ice fishing
What county and state do you fish in for these fish?
Yup see u again 😂❤😊
Definitely a cutbow
yep, rainbows white tips give it away
@@jonu.8073 exactly
Actually not. cutthroat can get white tipped fins.
Did you get a new camera ? Seems much more clear. Anyway great video !
Haha no, same camera, but it’s been really great! Haven’t had any problems with it!
do you have rainbow trout in your area?
Yeah there’s a lot of rainbows
What camera do you use? Just wondering
Go pro hero 7 black
Yikes - some "frozen brain" decisions...stay safe - glad you caught some
Thanks for watching!
Is that pan 6 or 8 inches? Trying to decide what is the best size for a catch and cook kit
It’s the smallest cast iron they sell at Walmart. I think I got it for like 5 bucks.

@@bassntroutfishing Thanks. Keep up the great work. Love the videos man
What state is this?
Have you tried for lakers ever?
Not seriously, I have caught one before off my kayak in a past video.
Great fishing! I think that spot needs some under ice footage...........just saying.
Man I actually tried😅 it was a little more difficult than you’d think!
People get mad about little things like the fish on the ice but won’t get mad at dams killing off all our chinook salmon in NorCal 😂😂 like come on
Haha seriously😅
Love your videos if you ever come out East and wanna fish with a sub hit me up. Kentucky has some massive browns.
its a sell by date, not a consume by date. U gucci
8:49 that's my gimmick!
😅
Expiration dates are just a suggestion. They're not a rule.
u should go back to rapalas
Don’t worry, I’ll break em out soon👌
Fly fishing is way cooler.
Don't worry about the easily triggered They are just tinkerbells with delicate little egos. I get plenty of those types on my comments as well. The most pathetic people on earth really.
I’m not that fat
Well, you could leave the fish alone. It's not your god-given right to yank fish from their habitat. Right?
